How did her family react to marrying a Muslim man? How did she raise such good Muslim children? Her reaction when Leena started to cover? I’m sure there are many more questions! ❤️

As a convert, I know a lot of ppl want to ask but as a convert, I can say the reasons change depending on how I’m seeing the world that day. It’s deeply personal and quite frankly feels intrusive when ppl ask. I’m a very open person otherwise, but the “why did you convert?” question is one that shouldn’t be asked. Let the convert bring it up them self. I think a lot of Muslims are unknowingly looking for validation of their status as a Muslim, when they ask the question so when they’re given a very simple answer, they are disappointed and it’s just awkward.

I would just like to add something to the ‘men who are looking for a woman to do cooking / housework etc for them’ conversation. I know that people discuss it in terms of preference and equality but I think we forget that these are basic life skills. As a nurse working with people coming into hospital for assessment of cognitive decline as they get older we find that some people can’t do basic things like put together a simple meal for themselves or work a washing machine because their wife has always done everything. Everyone should be capable of taking care of themselves because you don’t know when you might be in a situation where the person you have always relied on won’t be there anymore.

I second that... As a mother I make sure my daughter and sons all have similar chores and try to teach them basic life skills 👍
Men should be Equally Helping in household chores including Cooking , washing , laundry , cleaning etc.....so a woman shouldn't be burdened and should have a time for herself and her parents...

Definitely light ice! Sorry ladies, gotta take Mohammad's side on this one 😂. I've watched them make the Pumpkin Spice coldbrew at Starbucks and was SHOCKED when I saw that it's not just coldbrew, they actually dilute it with water and then add ice too!
we do that because the cold brew we make is really strong and it needs to be diluted with water!

Yeaaaah I hate how the ice melts and makes the drink taste watered down. I usually get a regular, but if I had the choice to be picky, I would go wit less ice. I don't even like cold drinks haaah. But Im in Canada, not texas :P

One of my favourite Duaa is : "Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer" which translates to : "My Lord, I am in truly great need of any good You might send down to me". As Loren said, we as humans don’t know what’s the best for us and only Allah knows, this Duaa is the exemple that we have to trust Allah’s plan since He’s the best of planners. 🤍

speaking of mother in laws one of the things that really confirmed for me that my husband was the right one was when I met his mom and she's just such a kind person and we get along great.

I’ve seen how my own grandmother would treat her DILs and when I met and spent time with my MIL I was in shock 😂.she’s honestly the most kindest soul and treats all 4 of us DILs like her 2 daughters if not even better. And I feel this has such a positive effect on all relationships involved in the family
Yh man as long as MIL and hubby r fine then all is gd. But as we say wen u gt married 2 ur hubby then u r gettin married to the family as welll. U CANT FORGET THAT!

ok but getting light or no ice is actually smarter because you get more drink AND you dont have to drink the watered down nasty coffee at the end when the ice melts. There's a science to coffee orders I stand by this!
