Most of the old Les Paul 'Standards' had blank truss rod covers, There was no standard until a while after the custom came out, they were just Les Pauls.
It already said Les Paul on the headstock. The font used in the seventies is my favorite, but for some reason, only old ones at 80 bucks a pop show up now and then. I do have that same standard cover you are using on one of mine, with raised letters.
These font change things are more closely related to who owned the company at the time.

Yes, that´s correct. I really wanted the other "Standard" font on my trussrod cover. But there was a mix up in ordering it. But the one I have is fine :)

good giving it an upgrade, my 2 cents is best bet is just turning the saddle around in the bridge, if that don't do it, turn the whole bridge around and reverse the saddles. or get a Nashville bridge. on the tuner holes i just want to add that if you go all the way through it makes the top of the hole bigger than the bushing and the string pressure strain is not relieved as well on the tuner. on the pickups, im sure tesla pickups are cheap, but i myself figure why replace cheap pickups with cheap pickups if its an upgrade, why not Dimarzio dp100's, Duncan SH set, Gibson BB's or something. however, as a whole the guitar looks good(despite the edge of the pickup rout showing a tad) and looks like it plays well, it sounded like it was flopping on the frets a little though, like the action is too low on the low E. in the end if it makes you happy, you do you. as a side note, if you ever level the frets pay close attention to how far in the truss rod bolt is, if its in far as ive noticed some of them are, then the 1rst fret will not follow the rest of the frets as well and you might end up with 1rst fret buzz on the second, i had to level my last fretboard because of that. but in the end it was worth the effort.

There are a million guys holding a 5000 dollar guitar that just wish they could play like you do. You know I have been watching you a while, but never really heard you play.
    You should play more.

You can flip your whole bridge around or just one saddle to compensate for intonation.

To flip the bridge was my initial thought but I decided to try to remove the coil springs. It worked.... ok, intonation is still holding up. To turn just one saddle is a good idea, it didn´t occure to me, I will try it. Thanks!
