It's a marriage. Even if you don't live there, there might be taxes imposed (doesn't US do this, among others?), and for example here in Finland, males under 29 are conscripted when they are naturalised. And giving up your citizenship might not be as easy as portrayed here. You need to ask to renounce it and they might refuse. Also things to consider especially in the latter speculation and if you're considering authoritarian countries or those in conflict or near one.
