Ritchie Edwards - we discussed him in my PTSD group. Such a classic case. When someone suffers as he did and can actually express the pain in other ways - it makes it so easy to dismiss their suffering as some kind of artistic necessity. My writing (I can't anymore due to an illness that's robbed my of increasing amounts of memory and all my best words) is filled with references to the internal and external issues I was battling throughout my life, from childhood on. My use of stories and storytelling to help abused children deal with their pain was lauded and made in me in demand. But because I had the ability to phrase things poetically no one believed that what I wrote really applied to me. Not that it was my real life. They preferred to believe I was incredibly empathetic, some kind of professional genius. It was the same with Edwards, all the more so given that his talent was making money for many more people than himself or the rest of the band. Management & record execs wouldn't want to insist the goose laying those golden eggs get help, in case he couldn't deliver when he was 'well'. His bandmates, who genuinely seemed to care about him, had their own reasons for not believing he was in that much anguish, for the same reason that many who cared about us (in the group) refused to face it. Because it's awful, and it's a quite natural reaction to turn away from the thought. Especially if the sufferer isn't ramming the message home to the extent that they *have* to. Our take was that it was possible, given the evidence that he had staged his own disappearance, and bloody good luck to him! If he was living a quieter life somewhere else to at least escape the pressures of fame, with all it's attendant dangers, and the expectations of his talent/curse, then good luck to him. We really hoped that was the case. I can't imagine anything worse than fame. I live quietly, with the ghost of my talent and all the old demons still circling me looking for a way in. I walk my dogs on the 'toy farm' where I live, take wildlife photographs, try to keep my ageing body healthy and remember where I put things or when I last ate. With no one watching my every move, waiting for me to fail and ready to pick over my carcass once I do.
Bullshit. His manager was a fantastic guy who, with his wife, supported the band infinitely. The band also repeatedly tried to help, paying for treatment themselves.

So far only the 91 Doors movie had a reenactment of the Miami concert.

They should also mention Bon Scott lead singer of AC DC, his death was very mysterious and such a tragedy.
Richey knew about the strong tidal range of the Severn river. He also knew about how his disappearance would affect the mythos surrounding the band. He had considered suicide for a very long time. I really feel for his family
Buddy Holly died in 1959 so he couldn't have recorded "I Fought The Law" in 1960. These guys don't do very good research.
Jim Morrison was the biggest star of all these.
Overweight.. does drugs.. dies. Yeah, those are suspicious circumstances.
Good video 👏🏽
Rock and roll may not be dead but it's getting sick.
It was CREATED by a sickness for an unbelievable and wicked agenda.
U think Hollyweird is there cos they care so much about entertaining the masses?
I suggest u #DoUrResearch into the tv's ORIGINAL patent...
WHY television was initially designed will blow ur minds😮
Larry Norman reference there....
For a second I thought the thumbnail was a vintage picture of the 2x champ Dr. Disrespect
I don't believe for one minute Sid Vicious said to a copper ' I did it because I'm m a dirty dog' ....bollocks we don't use phrases like that coming from England .The Sex Pistols were actually a really decent bunch of blokes who despised the way our country was going and even performed free in Huddersfield in a tiny club for miners who were out on strike to give their kids a party for Christmas .John Lydon said in tv a couple of years ago that they wanted to show solidarity to the miners families and it was his best ever big !..Never believe the press both sides of the pond, all owned by corrupt arseholes out to sell lies .
Thank you for this info. Press isn’t exactly fair, especially if it involves a controversial figure.
A number of high profile peace loving performing artist of the 1960s who were very influential on the young americans who would be drafted into the army to fight the Anerican, sorry the Vietnam War , Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Brian Jones all died in strange circumstances, all of them were seasoned drug users and knew their drugs. Morrisons father was a US Navy Admiral, his son would've been an embarrasment to the establishment. Hendrix was a black man who got way above his station. I read that Hendrix had planned on leaving his manager and getting someone else, his manager realised that his golden egg goose was leaving and that goose was worth more to him dead. Anyone got anymore details on this story????
Jimi Hendrix was a sad one he was 27 still missed 😢
Hoover didn't like people supporting the Black Panthers.
@@donHooligan Hendrix wasn't a huge supporter. He felt pressured to. I read that in his biography
Bon scott heard to this club the old 33 years man
You should do Bob Stoinson of the Replacements in Minneapolis. He died of a drug overdose, and whoever he was with brought him back to his apartment. He went into rehab but was told by a band member, allegedly, that he had to drnk to stay in the band. He got the boot for being too hsmmered. Then Died.
jfc.. what an incredibly bleak story
It’s Stinson. Bob Stinson. Not trying to be patronizing, and yes, his death was odd and questionable.
"In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" was recorded in 1968, not 1966.
Oh I think an OD accidental or not is pretty straightforward- what makes a legend is the talent lost and the issues behind the drug use.
Ummmmm.......Tupac F$#KING Shakur, , Biggie Smalls, Sam Cooke, Jam Master Jay (Run DMC), Johnny Thunders (NY Dolls), Rusty Day (Dukes/Cactus), Gary Driscoll (Rainbow), Cornell Gunter (The Coasters), John Whitehead (Ojays), Donny Hathaway, Leslie Harvey (Stone the Crows), Larry Williams and Lenny Breau to name a few.
Then of course a number of people still question the apparent suicides (accidental or not) of Kurt Cobain Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington.
Az Drummer Marvin gay
LOL......I honestly dont care how many times they're talked about, they both died under suspicious circumstances and that is the name of the video. And I'll bet they will be talked about a billion more times.
As for the rest of your comment - So I guess because they RAP, they're not considered "rock stars"?? What would that make Sid Vicious and Dennis Edwards of the Temptations??
Sam Cooke
Az Drummer DEFINITELY Jam Master Jay.
Rusty Day and his son were shot in a drug deal gone bad
What about Oli Herbert of All That Remains? His wife said in a Facebook post he drowned after taking antidepressants & sleeping pills, but those medications were never prescribed to him. The police began investigating his death to see if foul play was involved shortly afterward. Mrs. Herbert also deleted her initial Facebook post and back in January, it was revealed that Oli signed all his possessions to her in a will a week before his death; she's likely involved but as the investigation is still ongoing, we don’t know for sure as of now.
We need answers for Jim.
faked...only two people seen his body
@John Barber well yeah today he would be 150 yrs old..interesting fellow but the music.. highly overrated
Terry Kath,Jim Croce, bad finger many more
Kath shot himself
Croce died in a plane crash
You're welcome
@@michaelhunziker7287 kath supposedly, with Don Johnson in the room. Did you know that government has a chip patent that can be remotely used for planes, ships, cars to take them out.

7:06 Pam died in 1974, Grunge... definitely not her.
Nothing suspicious about Papalardis' death; domestic violence plain & simple. Papalardi also produced Cream's "Disreali Gears". He's buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
If Jim Morrison was throwing up blood right before he died then his stomach ruptured because that happened to me in 2014.and I died twice but they brought me back. It breaks my heart that they couldn't save him. Jim Morrison was a true icon.
@Kat Harman I totally agree and thank you very much.
So sad all made such beautiful music whilst alive. R.I.P. ❤️ and thank you for putting Richie Edwards and Elliott Smith in this. Both wrote the songs for the soundtrack to my teens. 💔
DoorsClosingSlowly so are Elliott’s.
Elliot Smith covered Nighttime and Thirteen by Big Star. We know Chris Bell died & is in the 27 club (car wreck) but I think Alex Chilton died too young at age 59 of a heart attack. I always wondered why, he was sober, not over weight, and going on tour the very next day with Big Star. He died 3/17/2010.😢
Another mystery is the dude from ELO who got ran over by his tractor. And Bon Scott. Still pisses me off....
ricky todd Botelho Wow.Never heard that one either!
What about Whitney Houston? She had a suspicious death as well
Not a rock star.
And Michael Jackson and George Michael !
Not at all. It was a cocktail of drugs !!!!!
Sid's "I did it because I'm a dirty dog" was in response to when he awoke and found her dead, the first thing he did was go to the methadone clinic before calling the police, which was 6 blocks from the crime scene. When asked why he didn't call first, that was his response.
Did you hear that Bono has been on edge lately?
Let's hope
U2?
Damn I thought the thumbnail was Dr Disrespect
Blessing to all LEGENDS❤️
That's pretty cool that you guys added that PSA at the end. Good for you.
Just a small note; if you need to include support information, such as suicide prevention, in any of your future videos, you might consider adding info for other countries on your end card too. Not all of your viewers are in the United States. ;)
I wonder why do videos now include the hotline more back then they didn't need to if someone has been thinking about it do it if u can't succeed stay just stay and just do hard drugs u will surprise yourself if smoke crack or shoot heroin
They don’t “need” to do it, they chose to. And unnecessarily, I think. It just seems like some kind of virtue signaling.
But yeah, like someone else said, where do you stop? If you include Portugal and not Zimbabwe, why and why not?
Maybe you could collect all that information for the poster?!! I can tell you’re the type to get things done and not merely go “you know what you should DO....” like a lot of folks on the internet.
Who cares
@@michaelmcdonald8452 I'm actually happier if more people die in the US because we are running out of resources that's why I believe in natural selection
Randall Reno Even if we were in fact running out of resources, which we are not, I don’t see what your comment has to do with mine.
You skip from "Who killed Nancy Spungen" to "Sid Vicious' mom killed him" without making any transition or anything...
Good show, man, it's great you put that number up, classy act.
I like numbers; so long as they are not arranged in any mathematical fashion...I mean we all realize what 'M.A.T.H.' is: Mentally Abusing Tired Humans!
;-P
7:56 Legend has it that Sid Vicious wasn't buried for at least a week because the dustmen (garbage collectors) were on strike at the time of his death.
SubvenioArguo i remember hearing that. and afterwards there really wasnt much of his body left
The most talented and sentient are usually brought to sacrifice with a little help from their management and handlers.
Finally, a comment with some TRUTH behind it !!!
@@fishouttawtr Thank you. Glad to know how others sees the biz how it iz.
Not sure what is suspicious about a head shot by the owner of the gun used...........
"When a rockstar dies unexpectedly, nobody has a clue why".....
I know this is in all English but, it just seems like words are foreign when put soo closely together...
Last words: "O.J. is innocent!" …. Okaaaay … WTF?
No he is so guilty God will make him pay since the law won't
Just imagine the Mafia behind all deaths. Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Terry Kath, etc ...
Lmao, the way he said Varg's name. 😂😂😂😂
Viker-ness? lol what?
it's Vick-urns
I'm so glad I found this channel.
It ROCKS! 🤟
What about Jimi Hendrix?
ozzmania08 . Yep Jimi’s death was certainly suspect in my opinion.
Yeah, his lungs were filled with red wine, like he was waterboarded/drowned with it.
There’s a lot to that one for sure. I used to brush it off, but after looking into it. Something stinks there for sure.
Jimmi Hendrix beat up women who wouldn't sleep with him. He's dead and thats probably for the better!! He's a loser.
Jeremiah Huffstickler wow that’s pretty harsh.. you mentally abused me with such a spiteful comment, does that mean it’s just as well if you died? Didn’t think so...
Jim Morrison died July 3, 1971 AGE 27....but less than a year earlier we had a "Three-fer" AGE 27....No one remembers....Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson "Canned Heat" the first to
die Sept 3, 1970 (age 27)...next Jimi Hendrix dies Sept 18, 1970 (age
27)...Janis Joplin dies Oct 4, 1970 (age 27)....and let's not forget Brian Jones and Kurt Cobain was, you guessed it, AGE 27 ... Now let's sing along with "Sting" of "The Police"..... "Murder by numbers, one, two, three...it's as easy to do as your ABC's..."
Another strange death of a musician is Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys. I also half expected to see Kurt Cobain up here as well. Good video, thanks!
I read that Leslie West "went off" in the court room when the verdict was read. Fire arm lesson at six am?!!
I saw "Mountain" years ago. They were amazing!
Are you kidding me?!?! A video about musicians who died under suspicious circumstances, and there's no mention of Robert Johnson or kurt Cobain???
There's the comment I been searching for
Very interesting vlog, thank you?
From what I understand, Sid was about as close to harmless as you could get. Nancy's mother figured she goaded Sid into stabbing her.
Probably Sid had nothing to do. Nancy was stabbed by some their "friends" after the heated argument about the money.
Why couldn't Unsolved Mysteries done a segment on Jim Morrison? They're are so many unanswered questions regarding as to how he died (since no autopsy was performed). Plus there are also unanswered questions regarding the Miami concert (for allegedly exposing himself) and why the jury still chose to find him guilty despite the lack of evidence? So far only the 91 Doors movie had a reenactment of the Miami concert.
horror/thriller author at amazon.com books sez: "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" came out in '68, NOT '66.
grunge you do not need an intro, we skip it anyway ciuz we assume an ads shoe-horned in the first few seconds so you can explain it along the way if you get right to the story
Elliot was murdered and it makes me angry it's not solved. Especially considering his paranoia of being followed and stolen from in the weeks prior.

Yeah frank thorouhgood admitted to killing jones on his death bed
Why is it always the good ones that have to pass away so suddenly, unexpectedly, suspiciously, unpredictably.
The movie clips playing during the narration about Brian Jones is from a movie called STONED. I highly recommend it.
