I remember the days at the Barras when you struggled to walk through the streets because there was literally hundreds of people and wall to wall stalls selling all sorts of stuff from towels to trainers, tracksuits to dvds cds etc - it’s a shame to see the barebones of the market that’s left
I was just thinking the same thing ...my god changed days eh ...satuarday and Sunday it was a sea of people and you couldn't move ..I remember being there in the 80s with my mam and dad at the butchers counter and you get tons of butcher meat for coppers ...such a shame
Not the way it used to be as a child i loved the barras ,real good people making a living im 63 great memories my father bought my first watch A timex ,for my twelve birthday, memories i felt like a king.
I remember as a young boy in the 1960s being in the Barras and seeing an elderly man drinking a purple liquid from a Milk Bottle. It was definitely a glass milk bottle I remember asking my Dad what it was and he told me it was methylated spirits.
Nothing like the Barras was .it was huge it sold everything .that just looks like a car boot sale .you could smell the Barras and could get lost .Also the actual shops around it and the Cross sale rooms .
Orange trousers? Looks more a bright coral to me, but I'm a female and guys don't always differentiate. 11:40 I've seen old televisions turned into fish tanks and bars, but never a taxidermy diorama. I almost like it, but wouldn't want it in my house.

That was great! I wish I could find a place like that by me. 😊
I think I'd rather have the candlesticks than the weird. Thanks for the video, though!
