Bought these ones from your recommendation, used for a week. Here's my impressions: Pros: 👍Good sound and ANC/Transparency for the price (bought them for $36.50) 👍Case is pocketable and easy to squeeze in/out of the small jeans pocket, although I wish it was a bit thinner, even if it means being a bit taller and wider. 👍Long lasting battery, especially if you don't forget to turn off ANC when you don't need it. 👍Don't use LDAC, but low latency mode and dual pairing are quite handy, although dual pairing has troubles switching from PC to the phone. Don't know who's the culprit: PC, phone or earbuds. Cons: 👎Case lid is pretty big, which makes it quite tricky to open with one hand. It's also creaky and (because of its slant nature) shifts backwards when case is squeezed. The lid makes case feel cheap (well fair enough they ARE cheap) and flimsy, even though the hinge seems solid (for now). 👎Touch controls on earbuds often activate when adjusting them. I have volume controls set up for a single touch, and have to re-adjust them quite often. The most annoying is long touch that activates gaming mode/switches off ANC. I wish it was tap-and-hold instead of just long hold. Having touch controls deactivate when ear detection is off would also help. But I guess the best solution would be to put a physical button on the front of the stem. 👎In-ear sensor is a bit too sensitive and switches off when I'm working out or lying on a pillow and earbuds come a bit loose. 👎App is buggy and slow. Overall: Good quality, rich features, annoying interface and cheap feeling case. For sub $40, it's a steal and I'm glad I got them. 8/10. Thanks for recommendation!
Thanks for sharing your eq settings, it does sound better than the stock tuning. I had been using the Pop preset which sounds better than the default too. I feel these are pretty much on par with the one plus bud 3, really good deal for $50
Almosy bought them just a few hours before you uploaded lol. Ended up getting the engine 4, since I wanted something a bit different, and already have a couple anc ones, including the HT05. Plus it was cheaper.
Thank you for this great review and ranking score. It's only on your channel that I can find such detailed scoring for the performance of earbuds. This has helped me a lot in choosing the best earbuds within my budget. I truly appreciate the effort you put into providing such valuable information. 👍👍👍👍
Been using these for 2+ weeks now, and this video is very accurate. The sound quality is richer than the original Melobuds, but I agree that the tuning isn't as good, which EQing easily helped to fix. The ANC is very impressive as well. That adaptive ANC feature is top tier, and in terms of blocking out noise, they come shockingly close to my Buds FE, which are like 2x the price. The range of features and overall customization at hand, especially when it comes to Transparency Mode was also incredibly impressive, and I loved that these have a sleeping mode. They've been made far less buggy after the firmware updates too. So yeah. These are extremely solid budget earbuds and I personally think they're a better buy than even the Liberty 4 NC. The Melobuds were like a 7.5/10 good, but these are a rock solid 8.5/10, so can confirm that there's a pretty big improvement.
Hey man. I'm seeing reviews that after setting the EQ, and disconnect, the EQ reverts to default. Has that been case with you, and are the firmware updates helping?
You won't find this info anywhere else... Top tip! These earbuds can get very loud indeed without distorting, but you need to use the EQ in the QCY app to max everything, then EQ to your preference on the audio device. If you try to increase the gain on the audio device only, you will get distortion easily.
I've watched many of your videos, thanks for the professional and in-depth analysis you're doing!! I want to ask if the points you give in the aspects/tests of the Under $50 and Under $100 are in the same scale, e.g. Both QCY Melobuds and Xiaomi Redmi 5 pro have "9" in Noise Cancelling, do you consider them equal on NC?
Picky Audio you would do a blind test comparing audio codecs in earbuds. I wonder if there are any differences or if it's just a placebo effect. Greetings from Poland.
I can answer that for him. He would tell you there's a difference but it's not a big one like 2 to 5% depending on the earbuds and the audio source. And there's no difference between LDAC, LHDC or Aptx adaptive. The most important thing is the quality of the driver's and the tuning of them. Hopefully that helps. 💯🙏🇺🇸
This is currently on sale at Lazada for $27. I bought the gold one and I'm excited to get it. Man thank for providing analysis on this product, I really appreciate your hardwork and please keep it up. We need more like you here in UA-cam.

Thanks for the review. Would it be worth spending 800 more (in my currency) and getting the soundpeats air 4 pro over the melobuds in terms of a. better sounds and b. durability?
Great review man! You say "you would have to spend 3 times as much to get significantly better noise cancellation". I wonder if the Samsung FE, the Soundcore Liberty 4NC and even the Soundcore Space A40 wouldn't actually give you noticeably better ANC for just a little more $?
Unfortunately, they don't. I have both the Buds FE and Melobuds Pro, but they're both surprisingly really close overall in ANC quality, although the Buds FE are still superior because they do block more decibles, but just slightly more. And I also have the Bose QC Ultra's and yeah... he couldn't have said anything more accurate LOL. You really don't need to spend more than 100$ for great ANC imo.
