Derek, if you do a snow water meth kit you will boost your octane from 91 to 116. Also, gain an increase in hp. You don’t need to retune your car for the water meth because you don’t want to rely on the kit if you run out of it. It primarily acts as a cooler for your centri - supercharger. This is what I am doing. You can set the lower end and high end with a gauge for injection. I am not doing E85 because I will be at 790whp or so with my gen 3.

Sounds like you need to adjust your bov. It sounded like it was releasing boost under load. It only supposed to release pressure out of bov when either max boost psi is achieved or by letting off the gas. It shouldn't be releasing around 4 k rpm barley on the pedel

Stock for stock not close at all 4.10s, fbo 3v you’ll be able to beat a completely stock gen1 or 2 if you can drive lol but if you’re on the fence don’t think twice. Coyote is a way better platform
If you like instant boost and torque down low tvs is where it's at. I think it's a better street setup especially if you have a manual trans. Centrifugal blowers sound good and definitely perform too but if you like instant torque down low tvs ftw. The vmp blowers are very efficient especially the odin and gen3r which both use the 2650 rotor pack. They're very efficient and the boost levels you see with a high compression coyote doesn't push it enough to have heat soaking issues. I would go odin if I had a coyote car I have a gen3r on my 07 gt500 it's wicked. The powerband is insane torque monster.

The VMP is a twinscrew style blower so it’s extremely torquey and hard hitting. Twin-screw blowers can also be prone to heat soak since they’re sitting between all 8 cylinders. The Paxton is a centrifugal blower, not as hard hitting in the lower RPM range since it needs rpms to really shine which is a pro in itself since Blucifer is a gen 1 coyote, the centri will be easier on the drivetrain. Since coyotes are high revving engines the centri blower only compliments that trait of the engine and it will pull extremely hard from 3-7,500 or even 8k rpms. Heat soak isn’t as much of a worry for centri’s since they sit in front of the engine. And of course the menacing sounds you get!

So to clarify, while the VMP is very hard hitting at all RPM ranges, it puts a great deal of stress on the drivetrain and gets too hot… which is improved by the Centrifugal Supercharger, that though it needs higher RPMs is able to deliver a ton of power without causing too much stress on the drivetrain.
@@jonscott3828 I wouldn’t say the VMP is very hard on drivetrain. Any time you boost and beat on these cars it’s harder on them than stock but the coyotes love it. Ultimately depends on how Much boost you run as well as the supporting mods and fuel routes you take. My 17 GT has been boosted for 20,000 miles. I have a VMP blower. I LOVE it. Car hasn’t had any issues. Mine is setup fairly conservatively. I’m only making 611 wheel. There is a lot left on the table but at that power level it will still beat 90% of cars I come across on the street but seems to be plenty reliable as well. It drives very stock like so I wouldn’t say it overly hard in anything unless you ask for all the power all the time.

Say you have a drag radial, like Derek does, and you take it to the track and launch at 3-4k RPMS, the VMP is more likely to break drivetrain components if you accidentally dump the clutch or dead hook since it’s got the torque to do so. The Paxton is less likely to do that damage at that low of rpm. If you’re on the street and don’t go to the track, they’re both fairly problem free, you just have to decide how you want your power. Stop light to stop light the VMP is winning all day. 60-130 roll races, theoretically the Paxton is winning cause it should be spinning at 4-5k all ready and keep you pulling past the VMP since it’s power dies off in high rpm’s.
