I took care of both of my parents during their last years but I was with my dad as he slipped away to sleep in Jesus. I wouldn't leave his bedside or the ICU for the 10days prior to his death. When there was no more to be done a few close friends came to his ICU room and sang this song, I Come To The Garden, it was one I remember him liking a lot. It is a memory I will treasure forever, and I still can't sing it through..Thank you Amy for sharing yourself, really, with this Knoxville lady...
Amy more people need to talk about what it is like caring for aging parents and how hard it is to watch them decline. I love how you say you feel your mom presence some days more now then when she was alive. Thank you for being so candid about life.
What you see is what you get. Amy is a true icon in her time. She is loving and passionate about other people. It was a great gift for me to have known her. Thanks for giving to others and may God Bless you.
I have lived through this as well. Even in the most difficult days there were times of joy. I will always be grateful for having the extra time with my parents that their illnesses made necessary. We laughed, we cried and we shared experiences that I never expected to come about. Thank you Amy for sharing your experiences with us.
What a wonderful interview. Amy looks a lot like her mom. Hard to share this stuff but, Amy, if you read this, it does a lot of good for other people to understand your experience. Thanks so much.
Thankyou so much for sharing yourself with us..you and I have shared similar things in suffering and yet finding our creator to be so sufficient. ..God bless you and yr family
I wish I was with Danielle Knox so she can go one-on-one with me so I can share my most heart-felt feelings about my life, my relatives and my life in school. I go through difficult times too! My Grandmother is 102 going to be 103 years old and she's in a New Jersey Nursing Home, my Grandfather was born in 1920 and he died in 2009 at the age of 88, my Mother's 1st Aunt died in a New Jersey Nursing Home in 2016, 6 years later, my Mother's 2nd Aunt died in a New Jersey Nursing Home in 2022, my 1st Tenentes Uncle died of a Heart Attack in 2015, then my 2nd Tenentes Uncle in California died of a Stroke in 2018, my Mother's Sister's daughter died of a Stroke in 2021, At an Elementary School in Oakdale New York, a Lunch Lady Server died of Alzheimer's Disease in 2022, my former Elementary School Speech Teacher died I believe in 2018, and then my 1993-1994 Teacher died of a Heart Attack and Heart Disease!
All of our lives on this earth end. So painful to consider. But the essence of who we are lives on.
Precious family 💎🙏🏽🕊

When they start looking at radios books clothing. Like they were looking at Picasso paintings that's the first sign.
