Oh, thank you so much for this review! It was so professionally done and shot, and edited, I thought I stumbled on some big tech channel, but no! Good luck on your content creator journey. Subscribed

SO! I Had a GOOD TIME with The M4. The Monitor Mix knob was 🔥! Having Only 1 HEADPHONE OUTPUT was my only real complaint. Beyond that, THIS UNIT FEELS SOLID & SOUNDS GREAT! Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
That specific unit (DBX 286s) isn't in the video queue as far as I can see. BUT! 👀 maybe that's something we should consider. In the meantime, any questions you may have about that unit, don't hesitate to ask. I do OWN & USE The DBX 520 & The DBX 560A. That said, I can say I'm a fan of DBX Products.
Thank you, well done, but I feel like there's a part 2 that you didn't get to, just kind of ended. MOTU also makes an incredible DAW called "Performer" very big with video film scoring, worth checking out if you find logic pro frustrating
Great concise review. 🙌As a fellow mac user, I am curious if the system volume can affect the overall studio monitor output on the unit, or can studio monitor volume only be changed on the physical device itself? On some lower end interfaces an accidental key press can change the overall output volume thus having to monitor two different output levels. On my ZED R16 output volume can only be adjusted on the device itself and not through the OS volume control. Hope that makes sense. Cheers.
Also I Wanna Add, BEFORE Starting This Channel, I never really considered or associated MOTU with HIGH QUALITY Audio.. But after READING A HANDFUL Of COMMENTS Here On THE CHANNEL with People Giving Endless Praise To The MOTU M4, Saying We Should Include It In Our Interface Shootouts, I tried It Out, and well.. 🤷🏾♂I Stand Corrected. The AUDIO QUALITY, DEFINITELY! Holds Up To The Rest Of The Units In This Class Of Interfaces.. All That To Say, YOUR COMMENTS ARE HIGHLY CONSIDERED HERE ON THIS CHANNEL. Comments, Questions, Opinions.. If It's audio related, We're here for it.
For guitar recording mostly, maybe one mic is M2 good enough for this newbie? For $50 more I can get the M4. Is monitoring that important- I am not familiar with that but I learn very quickly.
I have Shure mv7 mic. using in on its micro usb came, I am not happy with with the sound quality. what is your say, should I get Motu M4 for a XLR setup with this mic and also, I have DT990 Pro 250ohm headphone. Usage is office work, gaming, streaming, tutorial recording and such
MAN.. I HEAR YOU & FEEL YOU on not being happy on the audio quality with that USB Mic connectivity.. As I've never been a fan of USB mics all together. With that said, ur mic does have an XLR output as well.. PLUS you ALREADY have a quality pair of headphones, with those Beyerdynamics.. If you were to Throw in the M4 and a High Quality XLR Cable (i.e. Mogami or Jumperz) into ur setup.. that should bring you to a better place as far as Audio Quality Is Concerned. Is it worth it? 🤷🏾♂Well that depends on how serious you are about your audio. But given you actually jumped on here to comment about it, I would say, for you it will be worth it.

Hi. Can I work just with Logic pro x? For no mess around with other software? Thank you
I got a couple questions about the unit and how audio is routed on the inputs to outputs without computer connection
👀 🍿 Oh this sounds like a good one.. Ask all the questions You Got, Speaking More Specifically..
