These efforts in recon should prove so valuable for your FKT attempt. I noticed a lot of strength training in support of your injuries. Yesterday, I provided AT Trail Magic in MD focused on injury prevention and recovery. So many hikers felt noticeable improvements in minutes with the self-massage & rolling I taught. It could be super helpful to you too. I've posted a few videos on my channel. I hope it helps! Good luck!
An old technique was to cache supplies along a route. You would want a locked steel box with a cable around a tree. That way your crew wouldn't have to wait in an isolated place. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
@@taratreks Bears and people can walk off with it. I would want something more substantial than just a plastic bear can. I think that it was two years ago in VA that a bear broke a canister open. Good Luck, Rick
@@taratreks It may have been weak plastic or the bear trapped it with a tree or rock and was able to put enough pressure on it or he dropped it a distance. Canisters are more designed to roll away than stand up to pressure. Good Luck, Rick
I was gonna ask if you would make a video about any stretches or mobility or workouts you do to help with your running and you showed some in this video! how cool! Did I miss the altra summit in Denver video? last video I saw was trail days
I guess I'll eventually get this question answered, but did you do this kind of recon investigation all the way to Springer? I'm guessing not, since you went to Idaho after this was filmed. Or maybe it was o ly for the 100 mile. Maybe the rest of the road crossings are obvious for the rest of the trip. Also seems like that would be a monumental task. Anyway, I'm enjoying all your videos, so thanks.
Congratulations 🎉🎉👏👏

Maine is my favorite! Glad the recon is going well. You are going to crush it!
Fingers crossed jester!! Thanks💕
Pretty sure that chunk of road was exactly like that when I drove it 6 years ago 😂
That road will probably be fixed by early August. Hopefully, I'll be driving it at least once in mid-August and in mid-September.
she's a keeper

Is dower okey? Haven’t seen him in a while
Happy trails!
There’s no elk in Maine. Deer and moose, and lynx and bobcat, and black bear and coyote. No elk.
Wow! Thanks for letting me know. I wonder what it was that I heard.

I wanted to recon Maine and NH mostly because of the remoteness. I hadn’t been to those areas since 2019 too
Have you ever calculated mileage in the van and on foot?
Looking fotward to do what i can for u & support team in ME.
