I remember back then I was in my twenties now in my 50s he was such a great singer then and was so beautiful too I loved all her songs n loved her videos. My favorite was Lost in your Eyes awesome greatest song ever
Her "Out of the Blue" album is a work of genius. I don't know why the tabloids tried to do a competition between her and Tiffany. With all-do respect, I like Tiffany, and there are 2 songs that I liked from her, but there is no comparison between her and Debbie Gibson. She always used to speak very highly of Billy Joel in those days. I wonder if they ever got together to do a duet. If I were him, after listening to the 'Out of the Blue' record, I would say "Heck yeah!!! And not because she dedicated me in her album". :)
@scottjulie27 I agree with everything you said. As a kid, I also liked Tiffany's songs. But as I grew older, sort of like "rediscovered" Deb, and learned things about her, I realized that she in indeed a musical genius. A great talent. She wrote all of her songs, not just any song, but beautiful songs. Out Of The Blue album is surely on the list of top albums not just of the 80's but of all time. And Billy Joel should have collaborated with her. Imagine how awesome would that be.
I believe this was on ABC's "Good Morning America." If I recall correctly, co-host Charlie Gibson (no relation) referred to her as "Cousin Debbie" shortly after this clip.
I am in Brasil Debbie, to many miles from where you are, and I know that a long time passed, but tries to remember of me and our friendship that I conserved for many and many years since 1991, Debbie.
You forgot to mention me Neil Scott here you forgot to mention me cuz I am the most horrible of Tennessee here you should have mention me on your interview so next time don't forget about me please I really do appreciate it a lot
I would like to ask some few questions on the behalf of Debbie Gibson I was thinking more like how old was she when she had her second debut album of electric youth
Debbie, I love your songs of 80s, and I love you, from Venezuela,
She had a phenominal amount of maturity for someone her age.
Debbie's outfit in this interview will still slay to this day. But that interviewer's dress should NEVER go back in style! HAHA!!!!!
DEBBIE I´M CRYNG FOR YOU
I love Debbie and Britney!
I think Debbie is way hotter now than she's ever been. :)
Damn that would've been awesome if she teamed up with George Michael, probably one of the best vocalists of all time. Huge loss that he's gone now..
You are my hero for posting this! This is the first interview of hers that I recall seeing, and I think I still have it on a VHS tape somewhere.
She is soo cute !!!

she was good...not just vocal but also she wrote her songs and produc them....not like britney who can't barely sing
She's still around.
debbie rocks.

I hate to shock you but George Michael had passed away during Christmas of last year this is only 2019
Ya and this was done in 1988
This was one of the US morning shows, "The Today Show" on NBC, I believe.
She was so far ahead from britney and Jessica and all that when they first started out
sorry, Debbie was an US phenomenon, but Britney was a worldwide phenomenon.
Lol Debbie kicks all their stinky butts
I totally agree. Britney, although worldwide known, is boring and has a duck voice.
These comments are in a tine warp. Theyre arguing over Debbie Gibson and Britney Spears.
