Thank god Purdue went to the Edey/Braden/Lance/Gillis/Heide line up for the final 6 minutes of the first half in order to build up an 11 point lead. We lose that game otherwise. How I am the only person in the world who sees that is our best lineup is bewildering. All 5 guys can play both offense and defense it's shocking. Painter went to that line up for the final 1 minute of the 2nd half too so maybe painter has finally realized what I realized in December. Loyer played 25 minutes and Purdue was a -5 when he played. In the 15 minutes Loyer did NOT play Purdue was a whopping +13. Unless Loyer is hitting shots, unless he is benched more often for Heide, Purdue can't win the national championship. Loyer is the worst defender in the big 10, having given up 100+ points, mostly on wide open layups, between past several games.
ALL road games are difficult. The past week is evidence of that fact. Great win for Purdue!
