Pile #1: In my case, he has indeed waited way too long ... 44 years too long, to be exact! In the meantime, he got married to someone else and he ignored all my efforts to communicate. I finally gave up on him 9 years ago, after 35 years of immense grief. I was at peace with myself until last week, when I found a Friend Request from him on Facebook. It was the greatest shock and it turned my life upside down. We're both so old now, that I fear that love isn't enough. Still, I responded and he did not reply back so far. Nothing unusual. It's been the story of my life. I really don't know whether I would even consider a reconciliation at this point. We're too old!
@@lilithfrances1011 True. But I'm 60 and he's 74. Age hadn't mattered all those years ago, but now it does. Sadly, it's a reality that it's harder to uproot oneself and move to a different country at this age. 😟 He gave his best years to someone else after all. That is hard to forgive!

I love you and never give up on your love because love is all that is. If you desire it, it exists right now. You must collapse that reality for yourself.
