Here we have a Top 5 list of air-to-ground weapons that I see players using the most on servers.
It's not a list of the weapons I use most, but the ones I see pilots use when I'm in multiplayer.

Fun weapon: the Walleye. Learn to use the FLIR pod to point to the target and help it lock on. After that, it's self guiding. No stinkin lazer or JTAC. Plus it's got a LARGE warhead. Bonus: If you carry the link pod, you can watch your weapon track in first person view. You can also alter its trajectory to another target or to increase precision. All this as you cruise home.

@@nazguldcs make sure the bomb locks on before you launch. The pod will only point it at the target. It looks for contrast
Your list seems accurate. As an A-10C and Harrier driver however my personal list is a bit different.
1. APKWS
2. AGM-65
3. GBU-12
4. Rockeye/CBUs
5. Sidearm
6. GBU-54
Tks man for the comment. I confess that today I see that my list was influenced by myself because I fly a lot the 16 and 18. But seeing your comment end of others I realize that those who fly the Harrier and the A10 use the APKWS more often than the HARM is the one that flies the 16 and 18. Today probably I would remove the HARM from the list and include the APKWS, as well as move the cluster bombs up a few positions because they are used by pratically all DCS aircraft. JSOW does not. So I think cluster bombs also are more popular. Seeya man...appreciated! Tks
I wish we had APKWS for F16/F18.. The equivalent with the JF17 is so much fun, we all want laser guided rockets after trying it

Great video. As a beginner I was overwhelmed and lost didn't know what each weapon is used for. Took me almost two weeks to learn F18 and now I was hit with another wall of weapons XD
Hope you can also upload top air to air weapons as well soon
kkkkkkk is that so. There's a lot to learn. That's why I don't fly many aircraft. Getting to know the most about them takes a lot of time.

As a Viggen/Harrier pilot my list is VERY different. Also I'll get rid of the MURICA bias.
5: SLAM Cruise Missiles
4: APKWS MPP: Very useful against light armor
3: Vikhrs. Probably easier compared to Hellfires than Mavericks, I prefer them due to their large carry capacity. And ease of targeting
2: BK-90. You just gotta use to to understand how badass they are. They are basically CBU JSOWs but short ranged, and way easier to employ.
1: GBU-54 LJDAM. JDAMs can be used in TOO mode and IMO are better than GBU-12s
Hey man, whts up. Possibly today I would put APKWS on the list. I see that a lot of people use it. I probably thought the pilots were carrying conventional rockets, but I see they were all APKWS lol.
I also prefer JDAM for that reason. The fact that you can drop them all in one go is really good. But I see people using laser bombs more because of JTAC.
I loved the Vikhrs when I flew the SU-25T and BlackShar. They are really easy to use. They are a strong competitor against the Mavs.

@@nazguldcs APKWSs are amazing! They don't one shot armor but the carry capacity makes up for it. They're sorta of smaller Vkhirs. But pretty much the same thing.
But I have to downgrade Vkhirs, I have found out the Hellfires have radars and can be fire and forget while vkhirs need to be guiged all the way.
Mavs are so hard to lock targets with, that I won't add them.
@@DemonLordGamingAC0 I noticed the same thing about APKWS. 1 pylon carries 7 rockets. Even if they don't destroy with the first shot, with these 7 we can destroy more than one target. I'm waiting for APKWS to be implemented in Apache.😎
I also like the radar-guided hellfires. We can fire several of them at several targets very quickly and return to rearm.
The Mavs will always have a place on my list kkkkkk

Personally prefer iron bombs and Zunis myself with an occasional Maverick or CBU if I am flying the Harrier. I am strange though don't like flying anything after Desert Storm Era.
I also really like Zonis. Desert Storm marked several generations. It's cool sometimes to drop a Mk 2000 pounds. Tks man 🍻😉

I'm honestly not a big fan of the HARMS I find them hard to use and can be unreliable, but if you are good with them they can be pretty effective.

HARMS with the HTS pod on the F-16 is super easy to operate, but the using the missile itself with several different modes is pretty complicated. However you need to consider it as a SEAD weapon, not a DEAD weapon, aka you should only expect them to force the enemy SAMs to turn off their radars, hence achieving suppression. HARMs hitting the tracking radar itself is more or less a bonus, in the circumstances that the servers do implement scripts like skynet that makes SAMs reactive to ARMs (a bit more realistic).
@@hauptmann_ivan yeah in most of the default missions they don't give you the pod so I was pretty confused, but it's pretty easy to use with that.

Not sure what your take on modern is but it most certainly continues its service on modern aircraft. Upgraded variants of the AGM-65 are still in use by the USAF, USN, and USMC.
HARM, JDAM and 105.
If we don't know what to bring, bring the HARM lol. JDAM in TOO mode is 🤌; and few people know that 105 is a smart bomb. Just one does a lot of damage. Nice man. Tks for comment! Seeya!
What about kh58 & kh31?
I used the Kh58 and the Kh25 a lot when DCS was just Flamming Cliffs, but nowadays I think the HARM is used more than them because of the 18 and 16. I think kkkkk. The Vikhr, yes, I think it is used a lot. Is it possible to use Kh31? Tks man for the comment. Appreciated!
DCS is blue force simulator. The russians are stuck with their 80's 90's equipment. If you want modern things you have to use mod's, with all the limitations that it has
I have to agree. I hope the new Mig-29 will change this a little. I'd also like to see a clickable model of the Su-33 to compete with the 18.
@@nazguldcs Not only that. The most modern mig29 is from the times of the f16 block 15. DCS has the block 50, traduced to mig 29 that is a SMT. The same with all modules
