This feels like some old video that a space colonist generations from now watches over and over again, trying to get some sort of feeling of what Old Earth was like when it still supported life and was inhabited by what humans used to be
@@Copy_Right_ I love BoC. Tomorrow's Harvest is in my top 3 favorite albums even though the sound is a lot different from what they normally do. Much colder and desolate, like an early winter morning in the Mojave
This track and this video speak to my heart. There are so many wonderful memories packed in this video from Honda commercials that Tatsuro Yamashita composed music for that had such an incredible aesthetic that's etched into my mind forever. Not to mention Kamui No Ken footage. This is one of the many reasons I love vaporwave so much.
cvltvre (or however you wanna call it) really is the epitome of vaporwave imo. been following him for about a year now and his tracks really give off that 90's vibe a lot more than most other producers ive seen
A very well done track & video by CVLTVRΣ, enjoy! forget to rate, comment, share and subscribe for much more unique music to come. Have a fantastic weekend everyone! - Artzie Music
This track is like a perfect trip to Italy. Driving Fiat 500 through the old streets of Rome. Warm wind blows to your face etc. etc. Really rare track.
Ahhhhh, the lost memories of a promising era that only existed on Japanese TV screens. The music reminds you how unreal - albeit appealing - these images were.
+ChillMusicFaves The cool thing that vaporwave encompasses is that it plugs us into our own nostalgias. This "magical era" was never meant to exist, it is a fantasy, or a representation of how we memorialize things we no longer have with fondness. With a lost loved one, an old relationship, or a bygone era, we idealize them, and cut out all their negative aspects. Vaporwave makes you want to go back to a place that never truly existed, hence, the "vapor" part of the name. Existence is in constant flux, it is ephemeral, but as humans, we have a funny knack at grasping at the vapor memories of our childhoods, or warm memories of the good old days.
Artzie Music I figured real life got to you lol. Take your time. As long as you don't completely stop. This is one the few places that I can find music like this.
>It is 7:32 PM and the sun started to set >You were told to meet up with one of your friends at a park near a major city >Few minutes pass by but you get to your destination >You get out of your car >The times now 7:48 PM and the sun is on the edge, flourishing >You see your friend in the distance in the parking lot but something feels wrong.. >You walk close to your friend but at a blink of an eye, you see a white muddy van pull up to her >You start running as fast as you could as two people wearing full black clothes push her into the van >They get into the van and start driving away >As shocked as you are right now, you race back to your car and start speeding after them >As you get behind them, you start calling 911 >You tell the operator what just happened and you notice that your car is almost out of fuel What do you do next? (Emphasize on the reason you choose your choice.)
Well vaporwave pretty much started out as an artistic take of criticizing 80's consumerism. While America was a huge part of that, Japan was as well. Japan became very influential around that period when it came to the American markets with cars and technology and even had their own boom. When you think of New York in the 80s you could probably see a lot of advertisements on flashing neon signs sporting Japanese tech brands and VHS tapes from japanese companies (the names are on the tip of my tounge. Can't quite remember them). A good example is the music video "Candy" by Cameo. You'll see why the aesthetic fits because of the brands shown. I hope this helps but someone may have a better answer.
Because they're Americans and they were ALL raised on garbage Japanese video games and garbage Japanese consoles. Most of them are also fans of anime. You could show some less negative country in this video like Thailand or other place in South Asia, but no, they want to mythicize Japan beyond reason and credit them everywhere.
I can appreciate the video by itself, and the music by itself, but pairing these together, although fitting in theme, don't do a great job syncing up. There is some synchronization on the kicks, but its loosely coupled and doesn't really flow well. The edits should be more in rhythm with the flow of the track instead of feeling like they are each their own thing coincidentally being shown at the same time. With that being said, I will say it does a better job at this closer to the middle-end. Just wish it was consistent the whole way through.
i like how CVLTVRE doesnt just slow down the music but goes more into his own production for the unique sound
dude this song hits so hard emotionally. it totally captures the world moving on and im just here eating klondike bars
hell yeah
I still come back to hear this classic man.
Come back one more time then! :)

Why Vaporwave is related with the japanese culture ?
Why not
@@onlyabdelix Why yes ?
