I found your channel a month ago. In that month I've started university, met a ton of people, started studying, exercising, eating as clean as I can, and actually embracing/figuring myself out. Your videos make a lot of sense to me. A lot of things have been changing but every night since I've found your channel, I end my day with one of your videos. :) So, you're one thing that makes me feel!

Poor Things sounds really interesting. Have you ever thought of compiling a list of book recommendations? I'm sure you probably have some good ones! As for things that make me feel....I've been noticing lately that a lot of these things come from my childhood. There's something about nostalgia that really makes me emotional.

I love when I get warm and fuzzy feelings from reading old birthday cards, especially handmade ones given to me by old friends. It reminds me that I'm loved and it's just amazing that someone would selflessly take an hour of their day to write such kind sweet things to little old me. Also when my friends play with/braid my hair, it just feels nice :)

I have always been afraid of sharing things that make me happy because I’m scared if I do then they wont work magic for me anymore. I know it sounds strange, but I feel it makes me focus more on the sentiment it gives me than the actual source itself, defeating all enjoyment for me entirely. You’re so open and I really really enjoy these honest, beautiful and incredibly selfless videos. Always such a treat, Kassie, thank you

Thank you so much for this video. I had a terrible day today. A pretty crappy couple of months actually. You describe me exactly when you say that you were someone who lost their passion. Today I was thinking "whats the point" to this life. Its very depressing, I know, but your video immediately cheered me up and made me realize that there are things worth it in life.

Philosophy makes me so passionate, because it's such a deeper thinking then common conversations. I'd rather talk about what exactly you think freedom and free will us then about how you recently bought new shoes

I'm currently in that passionless, no-motivation, no-enthusiasm, uninterested, 'what's the point' position, so I'm very glad to have watched this video. I'm trying to revive myself by figuring out, and even making note of anything that once excited me. Love your channel! Your channel makes me feel, lol! Thank you!

Kassie, Kassie... You are... I can't even say what you are. I love your beauty, you are vibrant, radiant. Your body is healthy and your mind is nourished by culture and knowledge. I truly admire you. I love your dark side as well, and how you learned to try not let it overcome you, how you embrace it and see the beauty in it. Like a friend. I love how openminded you are, I just read your article on your blog saying that you like learning that you are wrong because that means you are still learning. I love what you said about Terry and you, about your relationship : I think we should all learn to be more like you two. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years now, and I try to make this relationship better everyday. Not judging your loved one, accepting him and loving him for what he is is so important and I know I have lots of progress to do on this side. And finally, I love how inspiring you are, you can't believe how much you inspire me to try and be a better person in life. Thank you.

One story I love is Homer's: The Odyssey. It's a story focused primarily on family. Odysseus is trapped on an island by a god that wont let him leave, he finally manages to escape but is faced with a lot of perils on his way back home. Yes he kills a lot of things, but it was all because he was trying to get back home to his family to live a normal life again, and it really taught me about the importance of family and how you should strive for simple happiness.
Unfortunately, I didn't grow up with a family and my boyfriend is the only family I have right now, and I have been taking it for granted. I've also been suffering from depression for a lot of my life so I fail to see the good things in life. Watching your video really opened my eyes to the things that I have been taking for granted. I haven't felt in a long time; so I need to start doing it again for the sake of my family.

I don't know how I hadn't seen these video before but this was awesome. I can't wait to read your book recommendations! Kassie, thank-you sooo much for this video. There are so many health and wellbeing channels out there, but the thing that I love about yours is that you go into deeper things than just food, beauty and fitness. Dont get me wrong - i absolutely love the food, beauty and fitness videos, but I also think true health, wellbeing and healing starts at a deeper place than that, and your channel is unique in that your explore these deeper concepts. Thank-you for having the confidence and insight to post videos such as this one, and your 'happiness takes effort' and 'being a hater' videos. Your an inspiration

Thank you for this. I get trapped in the routine and my thoughts probably a bit more than it is necessary... I keep to analyze, evaluate and reevaluate everything I do and everything that happens to me to an almost unhealthy extent. I find peace in nature. This video turned out to be extremely relevant to me at this point in my life as it was becoming easier for me to attach myself to negative emotions and painful memories as those were the only kind that could truly make me "feel" anything. I'm slowly learning to fill the feelings of emptiness with positivity and reawaken emotions I once thought were dead. Surprisingly, I'm finding my own happiness and completeness in myself, not so much through other people. It's like I was searching for something that was there the whole time :)

my definition of beautiful darkness is Marina & The Diamond's album "Electra Heart". People think it's just superficial bubblegum pop, but there is soooo much darkness to the album if you dig down in the lyrics and combine them with the tone of the songs. It's a very complex album, and I hate to be "2deep4u"-ish, but I don't think alot of people really get it hahaha. Marina is a genious. And I love that "Electra Heart", her "personality" on the album, is named after a greek tragedy. There's soooooo many details and puns in the album, it's brilliant. And very beautiful. ANYWAYS, hahaha, great vid ♥

Again, I love this video. So many videos I never comment on even if i'm a loyal subscriber because I just don't find it necessary. But what makes you FEEL, truly FEEL is something I question everyday. For me, my Hijab makes me feel so much more than everything else. I have always struggled with low self-esteem, and I feel I look so much more beuatiful with my hair out and my makeup on. But go out everyday with a bare face and piece of fabric covering my head forces me to define my beauty in other ways. It forces me to be beautiful with actions and words instead of looks and appearance. And I always question my beliefs, because if I can win a debate with my own self between to opposing view points that both have compelling logic, then I know what I believe is sound and true for me. Life without feeling, is merely existing.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. Tbh, I still havent completely found myself, however I feel as though I am getting closer and closer each day (: A few days ago one of my friends came out and it was amazing; he posted it on facebook and it was just so sincere. That made me feel for the first time in...a long time. I really want to just throw myself out there and not hold back like the shy person I usually am. Seeing your video and my friend's heartfelt confession has made me realize that I have nothing to fear anymore, so from now on I'm going to try my best to be myself if that makes any sense. Thanks again Kassie, your videos are always so inspiring and different from the other youtubers. You're so down to earth and I admire you so much! Keep making more videos haha :DD

"There's power in knowing what you believe, even after considering the alternative." I found that to be such a powerful statement and beautifully said.

Kassie, you're truly inspiring :) And I have to agree with you about Lana Del Rey. Her music is absolutely amazing and timeless. Her albums were all that I'd listen to during my University commute and they're very powerful too (Ride / This Is What Makes Us Girls and Born To Die are my favourites!) :)
    Love your videos!

    Hi Kassie!
I only recently realised that I had just been breathing and not really living. What awakened me were a few books and some videos here on youtube. The values that are passed on from generation to generation are not sort of able to answer the larger questions of life and I think that is the reason why most of us are troubled. Like you, I recently started to question things and I happy that I did :) It has made me to some extent who I am today and who I want to be tomorrow :)
