Watching yours, I realized none have tried wrapping leather repair tape or surgical tape around the base of the selfie stick to see how it’d then blend with the flesh of your hand. Maybe try that?
I strongly agree with your "in the moment" remarks - if nothing else, that's what makes the X3 such a great camera. I forget whether you mentioned the audio, but that's very good too - so long as you choose the "stereo" option. The (mono, processed-sounding) wind noise reduction option is only for when you are desperate in a gale...
Great comparison. Looking to get the X3, just sold my original One X and selling my GoPros for this. Also have a DJI Action 2 dual screen combo which which I brought for £249 on a promotion but keeping tihs as it is virtually invisible to everyone when worn on the chest for POV shots, no one battered an eye when walking around NYC. Subbed 👍
not sure if my eyes are playing trick, but insta360 footage not so sharp, gopro is sharper and more punch, insta360 like jagged and not smooth and jittery
You have to remember that 5k 360 footage cropped to a normal size is around 1080p whereas I was filming in 5k on the GoPro, so you’re essentially comparing 1080 to 5k. With most action and personal use, I think the quality of the 360 footage is more than enough, but yeah the maximum image quality is going to be higher on the GoPro
360 cameras have pretty average image because they crop in on the sensor. 360 cameras are still toys, i even have the one inch version, still not as good as a normal action camera like a Gopro.
Great video. If you do mind, can you share what wheels you are riding on while shooting. Very cool tool to film 360 on the selfie from without the hand in awkward position I see on other post!
This was an off road Segway experience! I had the invisible selfie stick in my hand with no extra grips or anything for these shots. Thanks for watching!
1080p or 720p, the image is very average due to cropping in. They are still speciality cameras in my view and the quality still needs to be improved for them to be useful as a general camera.
DOWNSIDE OF X3: Scratch that extremely easy to scratch lens and pay hundreds of dollars to replace it while everyone else keeps recording with their GoPros.
You can export to 4K but the underlying video quality is more like 1080p. You are starting off with 5.7K for the whole sphere, and then cropping into a smaller area of it. Still, the creativity and versatility of it make up for any picture quality issues - if those advantages are what you need it for.
The versatility of the X3 makes its a no brainer choice. I reached my GoPro limit at the hero 9 and had no intentions of buying a new GoPro let alone any other action type camera until I looked into this X3.
@@PuthethuKollam it gets upscaled but still not as good as a gopro 4K or 5.3K. But since most people watch on their phones and tablets, it's good enough for social me content. I usually watch on my phone at 1080pm or lower res if I'm using my phone's data.
Not hating on you, but why is everyone doing this review, the cameras are totally different??? The gopro is a more versatile camera with a much better image and the 360 is a speciality lower quality camera. You can't use each other to replace each other. Who started this silly comparison?
I agree bro I’ve been seeing a ton of these videos pop up. I understand the want to compare since it’s new but to me the video quality ALONE on the GoPro 11 is enough to want to choose it over the new x3. Not to mention the majority of people who are buying the 11 aren’t buying their first one so the ability to capture their selves in frame or something else at this point after 10 previous models is not an issue. I do like the insta 360 but they’re in my opinion still quite a bit away from being close to be able to have a real comparison to the GoPro 11
@@Kyle-if4jg Well. the video does identify 5 reasons where the X3 might be the preferred tool for the shot. But indeed, you can't say one or the other is "best" unless you say what it's best for. Pick the right tool for the right job.
This comparison makes perfect sense to me as someone about to choose my first moving image camera, which I intend for use when motorcycling. The first decision I need to make is either 360 or conventional single direction lens type. The GoPro 11 and Insta 360 X3 are pretty decent benchmark examples of each camp. Once I work out which type suits me best I will then investigate further which model is the best quality etc.. for me. I guess it is only a silly comparison if you are already an expert. Who knows, I might need both types 😆
Yea the down side if insta 360 is that if you export the 360 video to a normal field of view the video is gonna be 1080p and the low light performance is way worse on insta 360 and the stabilization in low light is worse on insta. I think insta needs a 1 inch senzor and 8k video 360 for it to beat go pro for video quaility. But insta is a more versitale camera. If you are ok with the lover video quality the insta is a must. But if you need the best video quailty vithout versitily than the go pro is your choice

Within the first 10 seconds of the video, I saw how much better-quality footage the gopro gives me which is enough to convince me not to get the x3
