Just do it the other way around then, watch the ads with LA timezone, then select Tokyo or something else to reset...

Farming the coins on the earlier day, while resetting (& returning) as well as harvesting the DRs (ahead) from the later day, will work most smoothly - in many zones, switching from one of [Y to T] or [T to T] through to the next during the day will be normal. Independent on where one may be located, the easy way to maximise on time is using UTC Offset mode and doing the basic arithmetic.
It's very similar to the capability VPNs allow, thinking of it…

Don't ever harvest coins from the later-day Reset side, @Mumluver. If you do you will extinguish your 'control' GC 5-COUNT - the state you want to reset the earlier-day functionality to. You'll then run into a bank of either 20, 50, or 100 R$ reward strings. You'll need go through those, stopping at and not opting to select, the next appearing GC so that you'll be back at the start of a bank of 5 GCs. As you in error encroach on the Reset-side coins, your available string-count drops from 5 GCs to 0 GCs, as explained.
Also, if you manage to mistakenly eat through all 4 banks of Reset GCs, amid those widening R$ strings… that's it until the next available tomorrow. Don't worry - it happens.
