Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know this video was supposed to be released yesterday, but UA-cam wanted to restrict ads. They still decided to do so even after an appeal. But the point of me telling you guys that is because there will not be a public live stream tonight, since I had it last night. I will be doing a private live stream though at 8PM EST. Join us at patreon.com/officer401 🙂

The Movie Mall cops did a dis-service to those who try to look after those on private property. I worked for 28 yrs. I never had a problem running to the alarm, the issue was trying to calm those lost inside their fear. A victim would drop into shock faster if they were amped up. Calming them allowed them to get to hosp before they did go into shock. The good ladies and gents - of other agencies were the best to work with. As 1IC - I tried to keep useless calls for help to a min. If staff called 911 - they were very quick in arriving. These gents are marvelous examples of those I called friends. Took me 10 yrs to stop reacting to the firehall 400 yds from my house. Caring for and helping others was why I worked! Cheers to you!

I’m a former LEO. I was commuting to work one Saturday morning with a colleague at O’Dark Thirty. We were on a four-lane freeway in the number 3 lane when a mustang went zooming by us at 100+ in the number 4 lane. He crested a hill and started down the other side still at more than 100mph and headed for an off ramp. The next thing we saw was the mustang flying off the shoulder and hitting a 50ft tall sign post about half way up head-on and dead center, level to the paved freeway lanes. It dropped to the ground and burst into flames. We stopped on the shoulder and made our way down the embankment. The driver was obviously deceased with a flail chest from impacting the steering wheel end eneucleated eyeballs sitting on his cheeks. A sure sign of the G-force of going from 100+ to zero in less than a tenth of a second. The engine was in the passenger compartment between the seats. The vehicle was fully engulfed but we made the decision to remove the driver for the sake of his family and carried him up to the roadway just as the gas tank exploded. We both suffered glass cuts and second degree burns but we would do it again in a heartbeat.

That is the price of safety and freedom. Let alone, the amount of weaponry we hold in private arms is a great deterrent.
I think the police force needs to better regulated on their spending sure and get rid of these rip off Government supply companies so we can get more bang for our buck. But either way, as long as the police force remains mostly non corrupt I really don't care if they have a huge budget. There's a thousand military programs I'd cut before I cut the police because ultimately society needs a police force to maintain law and order and be a last effort of fighting off a military invasion with the help of the reserves and Cost Guard. It's not like we don't have the money in the US, we're a very wealthy country. But we spend a lot of money in other ways that are a waste.

I could see the black smoke from a quarter of a mile away. Got on scene, and heard screaming. I started moving through the crowd to get people back in time to realize the driver was still trapped. The dash had rolled back, pinning her legs. The door was totally inoperable. This woman hit a concrete culvert so hard when she left the roadway that it blew the hubs out of the wheels. That says a lot about the officers character, and I’m happy it has made its way around the Internet and public. Recently I was on a call for a burning tractor, only a few minutes passed since call to dispatch to us arriving and that thing was burning like crazy. And the heat was so immense that even with full protective gear you couldn't stand closer than 2 meters from it, not the same but to illustrate just how hot a vehicle fire can be so kudos to these guys for ignoring the heat and focusing on the person in danger.

I don't doubt that these two Officers may fob off any recognition with they were "just doing their duty", "following their training". Until you have been in such a confronting situation it is hard to fully comprehend the level courage and personal resiliance it takes to step up in situations such as this.
The media is morally obligated to fully cover and promote these Officers actions which led to the saving of a life from certain death. The media should cover this story with the same zeal and drive as they have afforded other negative stories.
The community needs to fully recognise the heroic efforts of Officers like these two and afford them every commendation that is avalible to the them! These Officers went above and beyond their duty by placing their own saftey after that of the man in the burning car.
I whole heartedly congratulate them on their courage, ability to remain calm and without hesitation act decisively.

I don't work for ems but I've had training from high school classes and the military so I'll stop and help as much as I can until ems does get there. The last wreck I rolled up on a lady in a minivan blew through a red light and hit a truck and spun it around. I ran up to the minivan first and directed a nurse that walked up to the truck. The people in the van were okay. There was a little girl wearing glasses in the back seat that had a cut from where her head hit the back of the seat and pushed her glasses up. I bandaged her up and calmed her down. I actually helped her the old man out of the other truck. I climbed into the other side of his truck and supported his neck while we moved him onto a back board he had a previous back injury and couldn't move. That's been 6 years at least and I've been blessed with not seeing anymore. I had always wanted to be an emt but I can't afford to go to college and I wouldn't make enough at my local police department to pay my bills but it does make me feel good helping where I can.

Those cops are very brave and should be recognized. I drive a semi and I was heading east bound on a bybass of an interstate in the mountains and seen an engine fire on the side of the road right by trees in the west bound lane. I pulled over took my little fire extinguisher out and put it out. Luckily no one was in the vehicle they was far away from it but it was pitch black out so I didn't know. So ran across two lanes of traffic jumped the fencing in the median then went across two more lanes and put the fire out.

EMS first responders, rolled up on a car-b-cue similar to that, did the same thing. Leather extraction gloves were on and fire extinguisher was in hand before we even stopped rolling, spray the immediate area down to knock the fire away temporarily, break window, open door, cut seat belt, drag unconscious pax (only current occupant) out of car, bagged O2. Transported patient to ER. FD showed up about 3 minutes later, as we were pulling away with the patient. We had to leave rig LT behind as scene commander since, once you're in charge of a scene, you can't abandon it until relieved by a superior or the scene is cleared. Picked him up 30 minutes later at the mcdonalds where he was sucking down a coffee after turning the scene over to the FD. Never heard if the PD ever decided to show up. There was no thinking, it was all just doing. It was winter in NJ, so we were fully dressed with everything except the turnouts and SCBA gear.
Then there was the call where we had to pull the guy's car off his chest before we could get him away from the car-b-cue. Guy was pinned between the car and a bridge abutment. car had fallen off it's jack, that punched the tank and started the fire. Poor guy lost his legs, but not his life in spite of the crushed ribs.
I've got another dozen or so calls like that from 2 years in the rig. Most other EMTs that I knew back then had similar records. Seemed like, to me, it was just another day on the job, nothing special. I will say, nice job to the cops doing that in short sleeves though. I think, if it had been me, I'd have grabbed the turn out coat first if I was in short sleeves. Of course, cops don't carry those, so...

I was on the scene of a structure fire at an apartment complex with 2 buddys of mine (we work media). We got there before any first responders and you could feel the heat just driving by it, 1 apartment was fully engulfed and spreading to the neighbouring unit, buddy went around back and went inside best he could making sure they were clear which they were but later found out there was a dog that was hiding, Fire was able to give the dog air and is now fine as well as made some guy who was parked in front of a hydrant move right before fire engines arrived on scene. But it's amazing how hot those fires get and how quickly they burn and spread. I think 4 units were lost in that fire.

Been there, a couple times, luckily no one was still inside, just verified everyone was alright, and then got everyone back and waited for the gas tank to start leaking and burn off and for the tires to explode while we waited for the fire department, then gave the owners of the vehicle a ride to their destination that was just around the corner. also been first on scene for several very bad single vehicle accidents (texting and driving hit the side wall and flipped) (old man fell asleep and hit the center barrier and rode up on it), employee at a car dealership dropped into a seizure right in front of me. (saved his life, other people wanted to hold him down on his back) watched a homeless man in a wheelchair get hit by a car early morning dark, tended him till EMS arrived, but you are absolutely correct, the heat coming off a vehicle is ridiculous! Good on these two officers, they did a fantastic job! every situation is different, and you'll never know how your gonna react until your starting that difficult decision right in the face.

I'm a volunteer firefighter/EMT, and there was a trailer house fire one day. For the thirst 30 minutes or so, it was only me and two others on scene. Me and another FF went inside, and got a lot of it put out, though we almost had the roof fall on top of us. After we got out, and another team went in, we were only then informed that one of the closets held a large amount of ammunition. Not knowing that before hand made me realize that it could've been a lot worse. Though the cause of the fire was not determined, the owner said his dog had a bad habit of climbing onto the stove.

I’m a FF/EMT, we were called mutual aid with an engine to a neighboring agency for an MVA with possible fire. The agency was tied up on multiple other calls so we were called as well as 2 other neighboring agencies. One of the Chiefs from another agency arrived and found 2 victims (both minors) with severe injuries as well as a fully involved car fire in the woods. We got there and put out the fire while our engineer as well as the neighboring agencies tended to the victims, one of which’s femur was fractured and bent at a 90 degree angle. That pt was flown downtown to a trauma center and the other was transported to a local hospital. As per witnesses and accident investigation they were jumping a hill in excess of 70 mph (on a narrow backroad with a speed limit of 45), lost control and went off the road into the woods. One of the witnesses is a retired FF/EMT from my department and he as well as other bystanders pulled the driver (who had either self extricated or been ejected) away from the vehicle as it was catching fire and the passenger with the femur fracture had to jump out of the window of the vehicle and be dragged away to avoid becoming crispy.

My very first day I was a firefighter we had a call come out for a structure fire arrived on scene and I was thinking when I was on scene you're supposed to do scene size up realizing as I was getting off the truck because this was back in the day when air packs were on the side of the truck and you had maybe one or two in the backseat we got off the truck I looked over and seen something and wasn't sure what it was but realize quickly that it was a older man passed out on the front porch as the flame started coming out rolling out the front door and windows I did not hesitate I ran over there pulled him off the front porch with out an air pack on all I had was my turnout gear. I recall him surviving EMS took over and I instantly went back to my jobs and duties. Some things you never forget never talked about it never brought it up went back to work as normal that was it.
