Festfolk was "their" name for a variety show in 1970 they wanna forget about, but they sang other peoples songs and did almost a musical comedy. So it would not be considered an early ABBA name, it was just the stage name for THAT particular revue or programe which was done by four individual artists. As far as i know only some pictures do exist.. As a group most consider the release of People Need Love to be the starting point of them existing as a pop band.....
why the hell is everybody asking for a stage appearance or even a tour when it was clear they we're never too keen on live gigs in the first place. I always wondered why they did not a small unplugged thing in their studio with just a few songs done with piano and guitarr... or did at least record something without doing any promo. ... They sure did have their reasons not to do so, but this could have been much more likely and possible than a tour or a stage perfomance.
Björn really seems to have a memory issue though, no offense, he has better things to do than reminding all details........that's up to weird fans...... regarding the Spanish language album everywhere else it was said, which did make sense, that they did Chiquitita in spanish, because it was an obvious choice to do. It became huuuuuuuuuuuuge in Latin America which eventually lead to I Have A Dream and Gimme Gimme Gimme in spanish and the album a sort of "best of" in spanish was recorded in early 1980. Later on spanish or latin American releases of Super Trouper and The Visitors had spanish version of 2 new songs on it. The flipped B was found accidentally at a 1976 photo session in Germany with Bubi Heilemann when they posed with giant letters and Benny made fun and flipped his B on top. Only when looking at the pictures they realised that this fun thing was actually brillant and immediately got the trademark for the logo used only months later on all records sleeves to come.
Bjorn , i have a cuestión for you, why you change that beautiful wife you have , make no sense to me, I wander if after a while you regret that dam decision

Japan was indeed 1980, Dick Cavett was 1981 but not a full concert technically...
