So glad their back. I am a huge fan of them and love their music.
Sad though that all their new music has alreay been spread across UA-cam before the release of their new album, thus most people will just download it for free instead of the old way of actually going out and buying it.
If you honestly do love them, please support OMD by actually purchasing their new CD. Bands like this need to continue and without our help, they will just fade away.

If you missed OMD in the 80s - shame on you for not being born! This is superb, taking advantage of advances in sythesizer technology and production techniques much better than OMD the first time round (if that's possible?).
In meinen Augen zusammen mit "Helen of Troy" der beste OMD-Track seit dem 1991er "Sailing on the Seven Seas". - In my eyes together with "Helen of Troy" the best OMD-Track since 1991´s "Sailing on the Seven Seas".
I finally got the entire album three days ago, and I haven't been able to stop listening to it. My hat's off and I offer a genuine and warmly felt hand of thanks and appreciation to the boys for this album. Outstanding! It's not "Eighties" all over again. It's not even an 80s band seeking to reinvent itself. It's precisely what I always hoped it would be: Pure Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. And I mean that in every possible good way. Thanks, Paul and Andy!

Have You really heard the All You Need Is Now Album? I think not, if you say something like this. Outstanding effort. A real one and the true legacy of the Rio.. And Depeche? I love them to death but still... In my opinion Martin's songs need more than ever Alan's aproach to it.. Delta Machine is a bit boring and explores too much of the same things.. though is better than the Universe effort:)
My OMD gland has now been fully replenished. All tracks on the 'Modern album stand out mightily.
((Except for "Pulse" (I think!) which starts off with Man Parish making an impromptu OMD debut with a strange "hip hop be bop don't stop" kinda start. Not my cuppa but each to their own)).
I have track 13 "The Right Side" on repeated play.
Magic, classic, tuneful, melodic. Buy this album.
Sheesh....why do they have to use these awful dance beats? I know the guys want to sound 'current' but I always had OMD down as unique although maybe I refer to the period up to Dazzle Ships!

it IS a bad thing.. for me as a person, who remember their old work and was stunning with things like "souvenir" back in the 80's... if you want proof that people are able to do great new thing without going cheap or loosing their spirit just listen to Human League's "Secrets" or latest Duran Duran OYNIN :)

I never took it as a morbid song. More like a "seize the day" type affair.
