On the GL & Ml 350-450 the rest button is used for a super feature after you turn off the car press rest air conditioning continues to run until a drop in battery charge appx. 30 minutes this is great as it uses all of the cold air or warm air in winter stored in system
Mine is a 2006 E280 and it has a different AC control panel and no
'REST' button.
you can actually just press and hold down 'rest' without pressing off... does same thing
if i choose number 22 what does it mean... is that the maximim car speed i lock off ??

@@serhatnaroglu9504 yeap, repaired front SAM and ECU, also reprogrammed the AC Module.
To be honest I dont know which one of those things fixed it but the best advice is to take it to a professional mechanic

try Disconnect the battery for a while. More than 10 minutes it should make rest for all the Values @@researching_Islam

Adnan Mughul Guy the issue is the heater control valve. you need to change it. it can be bought from E bay (search w211 heater control valve $40-$60). the installation can be annoying but definitely not hard. something you can do with time and patience. I change the reading of number 25 of a/c fan blower speed by mistake & now it not stop when I switched of the car !!! I'm very sad about that & I don't remember the actually reading !!!!

How you bleed the coolant with temp on low heat ?
My W211 E320 2004 doesn't have a digital AC control unit, it's an analog with no digital numbers as shown in this video, how do I reset mine? Anyone please.
You can change ur ac control unit with the digital one it's easy to install just find used one

@Nathan Rock to solve my problem I went to a mercedes repairer, he redid an air conditioning refill, plug the computer into the car, saw him a faulty sensor, 450 euros pieces, but the air conditioning still works
My 2004 e500 is only blowing cold on one side
I evacuated freon, pulled vacuum and recharged with proper amount. Both sides are perfect.
Used dye so I can check for leaks.
Always replace schrader valves since they are weak point.
What temp is displayed under 00 ?
I would know about it too...
Could not find official info, but from my observation it has to be indoor temperature.
Most likely rear. v/s front under 01

I have this Ac I hate it 4 way hot or cold There should be one up down operation so I don't have to put them up individually or down when I'm in the car solo or Evan with people I still be like up up up up up up up ok passenger up up up up up up ok back seat up up up up up up up up ok back other seat up up up up So stupid so dumb this AC
Agree, I got this E500 loan vehicle and the stupid AC won’t go back on after accidentally pressing the ACoff/rest button, think this one is 2005, nice vehicle apart from this. On my old 2008 Audi Q7 you could just press and hold the drivers side temp button and the other four would all read the same. Easy as. Don’t know why MB missed this feature.
Now I just want this loaner AC to work again! Bloody hot in Australia!
Is the "W" class only sold in Europe? I've been seeing more and more "how to" videos by Mercedes Benz owners and/or mechanics demonstrating on, evidently, W class models. I see W this, and W that. As a huge MB fan, I was completely unaware of the W class. Or maybe these people are being huge twits and using some technical jargon? Stop it! It's annoying!
