@@nick2gateway581 I'm afraid this new lineup won't work in a seven game series against the Lakers or any elite team in the West or East . The rockets had the element of surprise but once the game slows down the rockets will be vulnerable and those threes won't be going in lol. The warriors didn't just win titles because of the small ball and superior shooting .The rockets still haven't proven to be good enough defensively and what happens when when they aren't hitting threes? How are they going to offset their weaknesses in the playoffs. This team is still a fun regular season team to watch but let's get real about the inevitable failure when all of the smoke clears. it will be the Rockets getting bounced out again.

you cant really adjust to this except do more postups which players arent used to doing and its not what they practice , only way rockets lose is if they beat themselves the whole entire point of small ball is rockets dont care how much centers score cuz its only 2s , they will beat you with how many open 3s they get taking your bigs off the dribble and cooking them on the perimeter

Most big men have specific instincts to run down the floor to rim protect after a missed basket. They have to retrain themselves to run to the corner for those random games against the Rockets. In a series, you get use to doing things like this. That's why it's less likely to work in the playoffs.
It's much easier on a random regular season game to get over on unsuspecting teams who aren't extremely focused on what you're doing. Regular season is based more on running YOUR stuff.

Isaac Bellefleur you gotta be a fool to think James “playoff choker” harden will actually get it done in the playoffs. That leaves Westbrook to carry the team and well, we’ve seen how that turns out before

I mean it did work last night sure... they also missed a lot of high percentage shots down in the post. Let’s see if they can win the NBA hoping to shoot three point shot better than centers who generally have the highest shooting percentages in the league already not having to play and bigs in the post. The lakers just got too excited

I can’t believe the degree of OVERREACTION of this guy out of ONE GAME. Just wait until the rest of the teams actually plan and do a scouting report on these new Rockets.... this is a disaster waiting to happen.

Every time I see the Lakers on tv they lose so why are they the favorite in a tough west conference why can't the rockets make a run to a championship

Deb King because they’re still #1 on the west. What happens if the rockets don’t make their shots? Who’s gonna capitalize? Small ball or bigs?

The shot closest to the basket has a better chance of going in That's why you run Play through the big man Golden State get one lucky year and everybody think they can do that. That's why it hasn't won for the Hundred Years of the basketball. They've been playing.

Nice take and The rockets just might have cracked the code, people will be surprised how well this works. Put this in perspective their first test was the League’s baby aka the Lakers and it’s safe to say they passed. In a 7 game series the Lakers would have to adjust. Hate to say it but analytics did win, this will be interesting to say the least.
