I too saw this in person. The coolest part is after the demo, as the drivers hop out of their cars to wave to the audience, one driver's long blond hair tumbles out! SHE was awesome and got a huge applause from the gals in the crowd! Go CHP!! You ROCK!
now that was so sweet.i had CHP on my tail when i was in the desert near 29 palms. too bad it wasn't a stang. would have love to chat with him or her. Oh i didn't get a ticket, he turned around after he ran my plates.
I love seeing my dads Mustang go around the track. He is the owner of the lead mustang in the video(not the one with the blue roll bar). The car is no longer with the CHP. It is so fun to drive.
Trust me, these little Mustangs are not that hard to initiate 'drift'. They'll do a 45 degree crabwalk if you want. That's fun. The stock brakes suck. Hard braking from 80 will result in tail-wagging. I've lived with a '89 SSP since new. They're a lot of fun, but not the best handling li'l beasts. If you realize their limits you're okay. The 180 is the thing to perfect. If you can do that, you're golden. Lots of fun in the rain too.
TheRumJumbie I I liked skid pan that was fun actually I never induced rolling friction which can turn me to counter steer continue down my path of travel.
I like to think of police as a tax on society, the more cops are on the streets the higher the tax is , and believe me the 5 or 600 dollar ticket you get for going ten miles over the speed limit but moving at the same speed as traffic is bs!! Giving police quotas they must meet for tickets given is despicable not to mention insurance costs. And its not just a matter of do the right thing and you wont be bothered there are so many laws now that its nearly impossible to not be breaking one.
Here's an idea: Don't speed. I've only been given a ticket when I was speeding. Guess what? I stopped speeding and I stopped getting tickets! Imagine that.
that must be the west Sacramento training course. Ive bought cars from chp, and you can hear them screeching around the course from the auction lot. I like the cb radio commentaries.
