Hello, the Pure Panel Pro seems to be installed in the vehicle. In the configurator, this is actually not selectable at the moment, do you have more information on this?

    • @jensvandesijpe
      @jensvandesijpe 2 роки тому +2

I ordered mine Astra in December. And my Opel Dealer told me that the Pure Panel Pro was originally going to be made in Ukraine but production now went to India.
Because of this they removed the option and just give all trim levels right now the normal Pure Panel. So you can’t find it anymore in the option list.
This means that all ordered Astra’s are converted to the new model year and no matter which trim level will come right now with the normal Pure Panel.
He didn’t have any information when the Pure Panel Pro option and also Intellidrive 2.0 comes back.
Only thing you can do if you already ordered is like I did and ask your dealer to postpone your order until hopefully the options come back.
So I’m also waiting 😢, the only thing he could tell me is that Opel really wants te resolve the Pure Panel Pro fast. So hopefully a couple months. The Intellidrive 2.0 he was less optimistic about.

From which country are you ordering? I ordered my Astra ST PHEV Bus.Elegance with PPP in February and I did not get any feedback from Dealer that the PPP would not be delivered....(it was part of Business Pack) is this information Publicly available or do I need to verify this with the Dealer?

    • @jensvandesijpe
      @jensvandesijpe 2 роки тому +1

@@wouter211081 Hi Wouter I’ve order my Astra with an dealer in Belgium.
And I myself did also not get any feedback or notice. It was only when I discovered myself that Opel changed the model year and removed the options in the configurator that I asked and informed about it with my garage.
So as far as I know both Pure Panel Pro and Intellidrive 2.0 are not available on all trim levels even business.
This is also confirmed with all newly received Astra’s with dealers. Because they all come with the normale Pure Panel even the Ultimate models.
I still am frustrated with Opel about the lack of clear communication.
My situation and this issue is with the normal hatch which started mass production. For the sports tourer the issue could be resolved with the missing options before mass productions. But I’m not sure.

I actually ordered this car as Next Company car: The 1.6 turbo PHEV motor in Buss.Elegance trim with fast charger in 🌶️-RED! Hope to get in In 2 months....
It replaces my current Seat Leon ST with 1.6TDI-DSG which is much slower....😅
This Opel Astra ST Is very good value for money and with 360NM Torque and 180HP THE only choice for a fun drive. Design Wise its very modern. Biggest competitor is NOT the VW Golf but Skoda Octavia / Renault Megane. And this is by far the winning car I think (SPECS/PRICE)

This Opel killed the VW Golf.
Better "much" looking, very german .
The cabin is done in fair materials
And are not strange ! In use
    Looks very new
Fair tech (and it works ok) not operated by a 286 cpu as the golf/ ID models😆
Good economy figures for 1.2 130hp
VW Golf on the other hand:
Still more! and a little better drivetrains
    More roomy
BUT sadly VW has pissed in their pants "focused on earning money after Dieselgate"
That they now use cheap materials "not more close to premium"
    Many luxury features/finishing are dropped!
And that awful slow infotainment 😢

Thank you, finally a review with proper information. I am the same height 6ft 3" and currently have a SEAT Ateca and I want a change. Your review helped so I ordered one. I have gone for Blue, Ultimate, Astra Sporty Tourer . The review definitely helped with my decision. Thank you.

I think that the front design resemble with the Camaro more sportier then the old generation, nice interior also except the steering wheel. I didn't expect much from Peugeot design but with the help of Opel they designed a better 308, rebadged astra. The astra h model was the best looking astra of all times in my opinion.

What most designers get wrong about estates is they drop the belt line in the end, giving the car a tired, old-ish look and they have made it here too; the rear looks so heavy.

Thank you for the extensive review and in-depth walkaround of the car. I am looking forward to see how the EV version of the Astra Sports Tourer will perform. The overall design and practicality of this car looks really great and with an electric powertrain it will definitely have my attention.

Is the Pure Panel Pro standard on the Elegance as well? Have ordered the Elegance Buisiness Edition in april 2022. Not sure which one will be included.
It will be all black. Curious how it will look in real life. Have not seen the model in black yet.

Not bad, but the front and lights should be slightly larger. The proportions of the wagon, especially in the blue color, make it look a bit close to a minivan.

Nice car, but still happy with my Seat Leon, VERY similar vehicles but the Seat ticks my boxes a little bit more. I agree three cylinder turbos sounds great, it sounds like a formula racing car when building up speed for the freeway :)

I think the Seat is a bit loud at speeds, it is not very well sound insulated.
but I like the engine on the Seat more.

Rather more smootg speed than a thrummy unrefined 3cyl drone. Is why I’d go with a golf or leon regardless of the interesting looks of this and the 308.

I watch a lot of car reviews, but unfortunately they never test the car with a full load (say 4 people and their holiday luggage). My experience with the Astra Estate (sports tourer) G, H and K is that the rear suspension is (was) not up for the job. In the models H and K I had to fit auxiliary springs to deal with the extra weight. This doesn't make sense because the reason for buying an estate car is to be able to carry a load of stuff. Otherwise I am still very happy with my Sports Tourer model K (as I was with the models G and H. This new Sports Tourer is a bit of a step back compared to the previous model when it comes to passenger space on the rear seats. Needless to say that I will hang on to my Sports Tourer K for the foreseeable future.

Behind the large compartment in the center console Is a real aluminum strip placed in order to reduce wear on the panel when using the compartment.
    At least it's something...
However, the manual gearbox is preferable.
