on a more serious note, i've been yelling about this on twitter for months (months!! since the episode came out!!) and i'm! real! excited! to know what you guys think! i CAN and WILL yell about literally my entire process on this, i have so many things in my brain now that's waiting to explode (and yes, i Do have a floor plan of sasha's villa sketched out, What Of It)
if the sounds editing came out a little off, i apologize - there was a lot of crosstalk and scoffing and Noise that i couldn't cut, plus some sprinkles of sound editing that i did. i hope it's not too much of an assault of the ears!
i took some creative liberties in some of the scenes described for the sake of Narrative Flow, though a few of the things i nixed (e.g. azu burning incense in the shrine) were more because they aren't accurate to real life. that said, if there's anything i got incredibly incorrect, do tell! i've got a folder filled with resources specifically for RQG and i'd LOVE to add more stuff in there
(honestly, lydia's amazing in her portrayal of sasha, especially in an improvised setting? gosh that's so cool)

This is absolutely incredible. Gorgeous, I gasped a good dozen times - at the body language, the expressions, the clothes, the zoom on Zolf's ring, Wilde's gesturing, Hamid and Azu holding hands and clinging to each other and hugging, the shifting through time, SASHA WEARING GRIZZOP'S EARRING, how you nailed the ancient Roman look, the designs of the kids and how everyone has so much personality... She's happy!! she's fine!! she has a family and a good life!! you really show that!! ;w; She's doing so well!!
Thank you so much for showing what came after the letter too, Hamid's FACE, Zolf... and choosing to end on Azu lighting the candle... made me clutch my heart ;__; This got me tearing up all over again, thank you so much for this. What an offering of love.
i listened to 156 on a walk home and i just had to sit down. what struck me most is that she isn't a racket anymore. she made that choice.

I was always super sad about the lack of rqg animatics so I love this so much!!!
But at the same time you just had to choose the most HEARTBREAKING scene so now im sobbing
ive been waiting since i started listening to get to the point where i could watch this animatic and when i got past the sidequest and realised this would be about sasha and grizzop i was like 'oh shit'. ive just caught up and was excited to watch and holy shit is it everything i could have hoped! this is really beautiful and that first flicker to sasha reading was heartbreaking. this is wonderful and made me do a little cry :')
aaargh, that was incredible! So well animated and really conveyed the feeling of the scene. It was like hearing it again for the first time

I keep coming back to this, and even though I've lost most of my emotional attachment to this podcast and only started listening again after half a years break because I wanted to know how the plot would go, this scene never fails to make me cry, and the way it's been showcased in this beautiful animatic means so much to me

Oh god, oh fuck... THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! HOLY FUCK!! God i think that was more painful and bittersweet than just hearing hearing it the first time 😫😭😭 i love the transitions of the rome kids growing up and god that scene of grizzop dying and every shot of sasha is a dream. The backgrounds and scenery is AMAZING and FUCK!

i came across this animatic a little while ago but i had decided to hold off on watching it until i listened to 156 and oh my god I'm so glad i did. i didn't cry when listening to it today, but then i watched this and i did. it just hit so much harder seeing the way you animated it and its sooooo good. you did amazing with this!!! (now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go cry some more /j)
