I'm 69 years old and saw the Carpenters in South Lake Tahoe in the mid 70's. Karen Carpenter called me up on stage to start the show with this song. She made a cute joke about my name and then kissed me on the cheek. Such memories! Well done Emily! Karen would have been proud of you.

I agree. At 2:44 when she sings Close to You, it sounds just as good as when I heard it decades ago. That part of the song I think is one the greatest parts of any song ever written. Sometimes, I just keep rewinding that part of the song. i could listen to that all day. You can't be sad hearing that kind of music.
