Watch my 2002 Disney trip: • Walt Disney World in 2002
I don't agree with everything Disney does. But this is by far one of the best things they've ever done. It truly feels like 100 years of animated movies was leading to this moment.
imagine if they included the live action version actors in the short 💀
@@faust5727 oh that would make this one flop!
"Come on, puppies. You're gonna have nightmares." - Kristoff, 2023
This didn’t disappoint they brought back their underrated films from the 2000s like meet the Robinsons, bolt, Atlantis, and treasure planet which is something that Ralph breaks the internet failed to do in the Disney scene
Brother Bear & Home on the Range are also included.
The Nightmare before Christmas is no where to be seen
@@ethanma3533 not made by the studio
@@ethanma3533 it’s not made by disney animation studios
Not to mention Herbie The Love Bug since he's from disney
Holy shit, Disney actually acknowledging Dinosaur for once?
YESSS!!! I know, right? They even animated Aladar and his family for this short. So glad they appeared again and got acknowledged by Disney!
This movie is underrated in my opinion, deserves for more attention.
I like to think Pixar named The Good Dinosaur to say Disney's was the crap Dinosaur
@@wuwwuw6089 it soooo does!! and same with treasure planet
Pure nostalgia, but I started crying when I saw Aladar in the back of the group photo
The Scrooge mcduck in this short is actually from the Christmas carol cartoon a while back, one of the best Disney pieces of media ever
glad it got represented
In the end shot for some reason he's in his OG Ducktales design. I guess that was to differenciate him from Ludwig von Drake
@@maximusprime3459He uses the top hat in Christmas Carol
I'm absolutely over the moon that they include every single villain as well, THEY EVEN INCLUDED MY FAVORITE DISNEY VILLAIN, THE HORNED KING!!!
At 0:11, I never seen Kerchak (from Tarzan) smile before, even though he is a fearless leader of the gorillas with a lot of personality in him. Lance Henriksen did phenomenal job in his role.
And I am happy that Disney didn't forget about Bolt (2008) 15 years later! Give that dog a Disney Plus series!!! 😍
The only time I remember Kerchak smiling was at the very beginning of the movie when he was playing with his baby.
@@JenamDrag0nYes cause that was pretty much the only time in the movie Kerchak was ever happy
It's pretty cool that the voice of bolt is on a McDonald's commercial and the commercial with the song tell me more, plus I think Bolt celebraterting Halloween and Christmas makes a good marathon when i see the end credits. 👍🏻
@@JenamDrag0nand he smiled at Tarzan when he was freed from the net by Tarzan and he asked “you came back?” and Tarzan responded “I came home.”
@@anthonyguarino4242It would be cool to get some sort of Bolt behind the scenes show that serves as a prequel to the movie. Just to watch more of his show and life as a star
I love how happy the Horned King looks durring the ending photo
I loved this short, but cant believe they didnt have Clopin (From Hunchback) in the group! Hes like, one of the icons in the movie! Hes on so much merch and attratcions!
It's great to see that some of the characters from their more underrated movies like Atlantis, The Black Cauldron, Treasure Planet, and The Rescuers 2 appear in this special.
Nickelodeon should do something like once upon a studio. For nickelodeon’s 50th anniversary with every Nickelodeon show ever made.
and don't forget every Nickelodeon movie and every Nickelodeon block such as U-Pick Live
I like the fact that Cinderella's hair colour and ball colour are back to the way they were in the 1950's movie. PS the hippo is from the orgional Fantaisa. I recognize the style. Techinally the blue pot thing is a Sugar Bowl. In the actually movie when Merlin is packing his cottage up.. to move in with Arthur- the sugar pot tries to cut into "line" and Merlin says "No, No, No.. can' you see that old teapot is cracked enough?"
Yeah, I caught the sugar bowl after 1am so I was more so wanting to make sure it got mentioned rather than getting the exact kitchen utensil name lol
Fun fact: I have not gone to bed yet and I spent all night working on the video.
You forgot Fix it Felix Jr
Disappointed that Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear didn't show up but i found this short to still be wonderful and very heart warming
Weren’t included for obvious reasons
@@tannerp.4996 yeah! For a stupid reason!
I'm pissed about that! They were such a great show.
@@SussyBakaSenpai It’s a movie, not a show
@@tannerp.4996i thought they had a show??? And if it was a movie i forgot lol 😂
I was so happy that they added Treasure Planet and other under rated films
The fact that they put Chicken Little in here is beyond me, but in the best way possible. I have a personal connection with that movie since it was the first one I saw in a theater, and even though everyone else might hate the movie, I can't bring myself to hate it because it's a big part of my childhood. It shows that they really wanted to make this a true celebration of their talents over a hundred years!
(Kinda sad that Sora was nowhere to be found, but I kind of expected it since his ownership is always up in the air XD)
That also can be because this is about Disney Animation projects and they where not involved with the creation of Sora, that was purely Square Enix but ya, I was kind of expecting Sora too
@@restlesscentral2692Sora is in the grey area while Square Enix take credit for developing and publishing the Kingdom Hearts game he is a Disney character. But I agree this short is dedicated to the Disney characters from the Walt Disney Animation Studios.
I can’t believe you compiled the entire list so fast. Amazing work!
yea but instead of 543 but I think Disney meant 550+ characters due to the amount of characters that I listed just to count how many they are
Practically the whole House of Mouse in this one short. 2D and CG characters from all across the Disney-verse.
I wish there was a reboot of House of Mouse.
@@cameronjr8 Well, in this case, the house would have to be bigger than normally to fit everyone in. You know?
ik i was surprised to see lots of characters from encanto in this
@@BraceletyTPOT7489 Yeah, and four characters from Disney's Dinosaur. I guess Plio couldn't make it to this.
Catching all the cameos and references to obscure/overlooked Disney cartoons and movies were one of the highlights for me, along with the Genie using old Robin Williams outtakes and the moment with Mickey and Walt Disney's portrait.
I am so happy Treasure Planet, Meet the Robinsons, and Chicken Little made it!🤩🤩🤩
Oliver & Company, The Emperor's New Groove, Brother Bear, & Home on the Range are also included.
@@joshmontemayor6098 of course, they cant leave a main line film out
@@drivforc7867, I guess that Disney's Madeline: Lost in Paris doesn't count as a main line movie since that 1's not included.
@@joshmontemayor6098 Same
Hopefully, there’s going to be a reboot and/or revival of Disney’s House of Mouse.
If it is as respectful as this short seems to be, then I hope so too.
That would be awesome!
the house of mouse was so good
If they do they have to use their Mickey Mouse Funhouse models or future 3d models to include ALL of the 3D Disney movies and redo all of the 2d animated films and shorts into 3D to make it work
@@courage1363or just have it like in this short with the 3D and 2D characters being side by side
This reminds me of what was so fun and appealing about House of Mouse-just seeing how many Disney characters you could cram into one place and just let fun characters with strong personalities bounce off each other.
Seeing Asha included feels like such a strong moment, considering how they get in references to nearly everything, even Prep & Landing! However, because I’m a huge nerd, I did notice how they still managed to miss a couple characters. I don’t know the exact number or maybe they were buried way in the back, but I didn’t see Alameda Slim from Home on the Range, Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Fox, and Br’er Bear (even though they included King Leonidas and the Penguins, both originating from live-action), none of the human characters from Oliver & Company, and I don’t think they had anyone from Roger Rabbit. Again, maybe they’re way deep in there, but they even added the Black Cauldron-the movie Disney felt the most actively ashamed of-and even the shorts going back to pre-WWII.
Song of the South characters weren’t included for obvious reasons. Roger Rabbit is co-owned by Amblin Entertainment
I wonder why they didn't include the nightmare before Christmas
@@code.s.l7544 It isn’t Walt Disney Animation Studios
@@code.s.l7544 Not made by the studio
I think cause it’s a gray area for Disney. They originally released Nightmare under Touchstone so maybe they didn’t count it?
meet the robinsons 😭
I really enjoyed the short film last night! Moana interacted with Flounder, Timon & Pumbaa interacted with Olaf, The Dalmatian puppies where watching Chernabog on TV & Rapunzel stopped Kaa from hypnotizing a character.
The character kaa is hypnotizing is Clarabelle cow
@@robinacosta8815 thanks.
I also forgot that Dodger from Oliver & Company was riding in the go cart with Vanellope from Wreck it Ralph 😀
I loved to see Treasure Planet, Atlantis and the Black Cauldron characters!!
Just watched, “Once Upon a Studio” and there is a scene where Mickey is looking at a picture of Walt and feeling melancholy. In the background they are playing, “Feed the Birds” from Mary Poppins. I am a 44 year old man and I shed a tear watching this scene.
They actually brought Richard Sherman back to play it so it's a new rendition of "Feed the Birds" by one of the men who wrote it.
@@nickthedreamer4434That is so awesome that THE Richard Sherman is still among us, and even still creating. What a legend!
Wasn’t that Walt’s favorite song?
Yeah I'll admit it gave me goosebumps very touching and well done
Disney sure went out for this also I LOVE HOW THEY INCLUDED OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT 💕💕💕💕
I really wish they added Mufasa
Including Sarabi, Sarafina, Kiara, Zira, Nuka, Vitani, Kovu, The Lion Gaurd, Timon's Mother & Max

Was John Henry and his short "John Henry" really called "Big John" in other places??? That's news to me...
The two trees from the Silly Symphony cartoons are from "Flowers and Trees" which was the first Disney short to ever be made in color.
Believe it or not, the Suzy car found in this short was the inspiration for the Autopia attraction found in Disneyland.
The design for the cars in the short is also the inspiration for the cars from the Pixar franchise

Since there are a characters from “Pete's dragon”, “Mary Poppins”, “Bedknobs & Broomsticks”.
I wish there were a characters from “Enchanted”,”So dear to my heart” ,”Song of the south” too.
I was enthralled to see so many Disney characters together in one place, especially some of the lesser known characters. I actually choked up a couple of times during the short. I kinda wish they would have included some animated characters from Disney TV shows like Elena of Avalor, Sofia the First, the Gummi Bears, etc. Still, Once Upon a Studio was absolutely amazing to me. When will we ever see so many Disney characters interacting with each other again? Maybe House of Mouse reruns. 😊
TV characters weren’t included because they aren’t from Walt Disney Animation Studios
Yes, TV characters are from Walt Disney Television Animation. It’s likely the Walt Disney Television Animation characters will get their own anniversary reunion at some point. This was just celebrating 100 years of Disney animated movies. I was also excited to see they included the lesser known films with the well known ones. They even included Tarzan which I have heard Disney lost the rights to.
@@slaughterhater Yeah, I realize television characters are a separate division just like Pixar is separate. It would've been cool if they'd snuck in a few characters from the other divisions to make a mega reunion. It would be amazing if the company did something similar to Once Upon a Studio for their animated TV characters.
10:31 the short is called Flowers And Trees
You forgot Felix from Wreck It Ralph and Fairy Godmother from Cinderella.
The guy even fixed the camera for the picture lmao

Ahem, I watch Strange World on Disney+ and absolutely love it! So happy that they included the film in this!
Side note Splat having a crush on Ursula was definitely unexpected…
I'm glad they included Oswald the Lucky Rabbit here at 2:30

I didn't expect to bring everyone in Once Upon a Studio! Such a great lineup.
ok after seeing this im getting my old childhood movies and re watch them its been such a nostalgic ride seeing all of these characters
Honestly I feel like us Oswald fans were just happy to see him be acknowledged from Disney.
thats sooo funny to me how they included the spooky scary skeletons ahaha
The male and female trees holding hands was from the Silly Symphony "Flowers and Trees". Not sure how you could NOT know that because in Walt's own voice in "The Walt Disney Story" he describes how that picture was originally started in black and white and then completely redone in color, since Technicolor debuted while the short was in progress.
Yes!! Princess Eilonwy! The Black Cauldron is my favorite Disney movie!
THE HORNED KING is in it....they included soo many chars from films that by now have become fan favourites but used to be forgotten by disney
the fact that they put Jaeger Clade and Splat From Strange World was enough for me, Heck The Put Asha From Wish even Though It Didn't even Come Out Yet......................#LongLiveDisney
I love how you included the Kingdom Hearts songs while doing this list. Watched this short two days ago, then I showed it to my sister last night, she loved it.
I love 💕 walt Disney movies and I'm so sorry
13:57 - 14:13 you forgot Fix-it-Felix
this kinda make me wanna bring back Disney's House of mouse along with the new characters
Happy 100th anniversary, Disney! I love you! Walt will be really, really proud! ❤❤❤
Now if only a certain spiky haired kid with a giant key appeared. I’d picture him to be the one serving as a sort of Disney security guard (a la Night at the Museum) keeping track of every last one of these characters with a checklist. Granted, he’s a hybrid creation between Disney and Square Enix, but he’s traveled and traversed their worlds.
Officially, Disney does full own Sora and friends, so if it had included more than just Disney animation characters, we might have seen him. He did just get a pin in the parks for Video Game Day after all.
@@StormwindAdventuresand there's a key blade in the Chip N Dale movie
Thanks for sharing this list! So many characters I didn't even realize were in the short until now thanks to you! Although you did forget one character: Nessie from the 2011 short, "The Ballad of Nessie" was in it as well. She could be seen in the background during the final scene where the characters are getting ready for their group photo.
Now imagine all these characters in a mouse of house reboot
Walt would have been so proud of the short...he made the magic happen a whole century ago.😊😊
Walt would've added brer rabbit and he would be right
I'm surprised they even included characters from their lesser known and forgotten movies. But I was they included characters from their direct to videos sequels and their animated tv shows. I'm also surprised that Roger Rabbit and Jack Skellington weren't in this short. This would have been perfect for them and the others to show up.
Direct to video sequels and TV shows aren’t from Walt Disney Animation Studios so they weren’t included. Roger Rabbit is co-owned by Amblin Entertainment. Jack Skellington isn’t from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Man, this studio's got everyone!
Hycanthic Hippo, Ben Ali Gator, Chernabog, the Centaurs, Madame Upanova and the donkey are from the original "Fantasia" and not the sequel.
You forgot the Fairy Godmother from "Cinderella".
One I know you missed was Flit the hummingbird, next to Pocahontas when she was singing "When You Wish Upon a Star". This is a pretty full list, though. Good job.
My number 1 would be Jim Hawkins from treasure planet! The others would follow!
Same here
You forgot to include Chernabog from ALSO Fantasia who only appeared when the Dalmatian puppies where watching his scene on the T.V and scared them.
I’m surprised that the Siamese cats, the rat, fagin and Sykes weren’t part of this
Good that one of my childhood favorites is turning a century old.
Very impressive list! You found more characters than other videos I've seen. The old guy from The Black Cauldron is Fflewddur Fflam by the way (pronounced "Floo-der Flam"). And the princess is Eilonwy ("Eye-lon-wee"). Those Welsh names are tricky!
I almost cried of joy at the end.
I can't believe disney has become 100 years old already... I mean I saw it coming but...yeah it's kind of mix my emotions here.
I love how they added Panchito and Josè
The short film is so heartwarming especially seeing characters I love!
This short was lovely
The owl from Bambi, his name is not the wise old owl, his name is Friend Owl.
You forgot the devil from fantasia
And his name is cernaborg
He was definitely in the original audio, cause he's on my excel sheet. Must have accidentally erased that part when I added the brooms. Keeping track of this many characters between multiple formats isn't easy.
Cyril Proudbottom is the name of the horse and Toad’s closest friends are Rat and Mole.
One thing I’ve noticed about is that Christopher Robin, Kanga, and Eeyore aren’t singing while trying to pull Pooh out of his picture frame while they were in the original 1977 film.
I can say only WOW! And Bravoo!!!
Thanks for making this! It seemed like you put a lot of effort into figuring out even who all the obscure characters are
Great job! But you forgot to mention Fix It Felix! And he had a big part!
This is possibly the greatest short film I've seen in years. One thing is that I think that the filmmakers overlooked the characters from the "Adventures in Music" cartoons. Of course, I'm talking about Professor Owl, Bertie Birdbrain, and all the bird students that were also featured in Disney's Sing-Along Songs series. To me, that is quite a loss, especially since that video series introduced me to all of the studio's fantastic feature films, shorts, and TV shows, both either well-known or more obscure. Let's not forget the theme parks either, whose soundtracks have always been as infectious as the films themselves.
In spite of that, happy 100th anniversary to my favorite company of all time. As a real Disney fan, it has truly molded me to be the person that I am today. May you continue to make dreams come true.
Missed opportunity, especially since Prof. Owl HAS been appearing in Disney 100's merchandise
