In this video I explain how to set up UA-cam Ads to help you sell beats online. UA-cam ads are actually set up using the Google Ads dashboard and I'll show you exactly how to navigate it. UA-cam ads can be tricky to set up if you don't know what you're doing but hopefully this video will take all the guess work out of it for you. While in my experience, UA-cam ads haven't resulted in a lot of beat sales, it's worth considering as part of your overall marketing strategy for your beats because it can bring increased exposure to your UA-cam channel. I don't like ads, but they're useful, so I wanna ask, what if I close the video as soon as the ad starts, and reopen without ad, do you still gain?
Next question, if I add an ad on an old video, will it still be effective?

Thanks for checking it out man. For your first question, no if you immediately close it, I don't believe that will count as an ad view. For your second question, the upload date of the video you're using for your ad is irrelevant to its performance. What's more important is that you make sure to choose a high quality video to promote.

How long should i invest $5? When to agree that there are no sales coming? More in depth of after the campaign would be interest
I reassess the campaign performance after about a week. If you're happy with results you can keep it running and check again in another week or turn it off and try another video with different keywords.

They should start as soon as the ad as been approved by Google

I just saw that you recommended to put 0.03 for CPM Bid, I think thats wrong, I remember doing this for CPV. I tested it and asked google about it, and they recommended to put something like 2 Dollars as CPM.
But anyways, thanks to you I think I made a good campaign and 90% of the listeners are from France, should i kick out the other countries(US,Germany,UK) and focus on France then ?
Google reps will always try to get you to spend more money than necessary. I'd leave your campaign as open as possible and not limit to one country.

I heard some people when are setting an ad, they put "brand consideration and product" instead of "brand awareness and reach", so the question is, there is so much difference between both options on the perfomance of the ads?
I've never tried that option actually but I will and make a video on my findings
Hi, thanks for this video. I'm using your instructions now to place ads. Google has updated things since your video. Skippable in-stream was grayed out for me and I was automatically bumped to "Video reach campaign" instead. Thereafter, the ad platform asked "Select the way you'd like to reach your goal." Can you update from there please?

I'm not getting any impressions from using this? I've been trying to use the targetting settings as shown in the video for the past three days but can't get any impressions.
It's weird because the only way i seem to get impressions is if i don't narrow down my adience at all. It's super annoying and i'm not sure what's going on. I've put my bid all the way up to £0.15 which is like $0.20 lol.
It says there should be 1 million impressions available so not sure what the issue is. Would be great to hear back from you, i really appreicate your help. You make the only youtube videos on marketing that is easily digestable and understandable for people who don't have an extensive background. Appreicate everything you do.
Thank you for that! Unfortunately I'm not sure what the problem is. I would recommend reaching out to Google Ads support. They can pull up your dashboard and troubleshoot with you.

I'm not sure exactly what the problem would be. In this case I would reach out to Google Ads support which you can do from the dashboard. It's free to talk to them and they're usually pretty helpful with questions like this.

Question about ads..why does it seem like when I place ads on say google or Facebook/Instagram, I’m getting charges for clicks but my plays don’t go up on my website player stats? I feel like I throw away money to google, but get no email sign ups or any jump in plays
If someone listens to your beat on an ad on one of those platforms, it won't count as a play on beatstars. It will only count as a play if someone actually clicks through to your website and starts playing your beats from there. If you're getting clicks through to your website but no one is listening to your beats there, it might be an issue with your targeting. Make sure to do your best to target people who would actually be interested in listening.
