Turning off Diya is not recommended. I don't know why you want to turn off the Diya. .... Earthen Diya cannot be reused.
Just for clarification can we dissolve the rock salt outside the house rather than doing in the house sink
You can throw it but dilute it in water 🙏

Never put oil in empty deepam first without a wick / Vathulu. First Vathulu vesi oil poyyali.
It is custom first to put oil then only the wick in our place
Thanks Ramya for this simple and effective pooja. So, after 4 days means on Tuesday we should dissolve and throw away the salt. Is this right? I have a Lakshmi Vilakku ( Can I use that as the base vilakku. Or should all the vilakkus be only mud vilakku

In South, we never let the diya to turn off, we say diya should be cooled off with flowers as shown in the video.
Vese apne aap 1ghanty me Diya badh jayega behno badhna matalab thanda ho jayega ok so don't bother Just relax.and keep smiling.

Is it necessary to put off Diya after one hour? Can't it be continued till the oil gets used up?
It’s not necessary. But Diya should not turn off by itself. Any small Diya can light up max one hour. Thats the logic here !! Use any flowers to put down !! 😊🙏

@@soumyasalian7379 nothing ll happen ... If u want even detail u can watch other videos in UA-cam. Because I never heard of taking off diva after an hour ... It is said diva should be lighten for long time then it's good .. for first time I heard about taking off diva within a hr.....

After this puja, can you take the salt and set it aside or do you leave the cardamom and diyar ontop for the 3 days? Can you put the salt aside in the puja room alone?
Salt has to be always drained off can keep in your bathroom for fee days n drain offf
Very good information about Friday pooja, using salt, but the diya with oil, will it not get spoilt,, means when we leave the oil the diya may get sticky. Besides should we use clay diya only.
Diay once lit has to be cleaned before reuse and you also cannot reuse oil but can store it as blessing from God it's like God left little for you probably you need it can use for skin problems or also apply on hair. Even left over wick is nirmalya and have to burn off with dhoop

Normally this pooja is done for Friday's in odd number.5,7,9,11.
If someone miss one of the Friday you can skip on that day and continue from next Friday onwards.but it's necessary to complete the number of Friday's you have decided while doing it for first time.avoid eating n preparing nonvej on the day of poojq

U can reuse everything for 4 days, after that dissolve salt in water and can use cardamom or cloves for cooking purposes. 🙏
