Since _when_ has the BBC been able to broadcast their channels with 2160 lines? AFAIK they cannot even broadcast all of their regional BBC One channels with only 1080 lines!
Test card Y? (Test card c was first to broadcast, Test card e updated resolution to 625p, Test card f introduced Color, Test card w introduced widescreen, Test card x was for the death of BBC HD, having surround audio channels.)
Maybe if you get some wrappers from the sweets in a tin of Quality Street - the see-through ones - and stick them randomly on the black and white VHF 405-line TV, you might get colour - OK, so grass may be purple, sky green and people would be a subtle shade of pinky-russet - that might work!
Oh man, I wish I had a display with 2160 lines

If I glue my HD TV, UHF TV and black and white VHF 405 line TV's together, will I end up with a UHD television?
