Take a Trip in a Dove? Vintage Aircraft experience.

A treat for fans of vintage aircraft. Experience a ‘trip’ in the Dove with some museum visitors. Volunteers have been restoring the interior of our Dove and an audio commentary has been installed in the cabin which provides the soundtrack to this video.
The Dove was developed at the end of the Second World War, based on the concept of a "feeder" airliner. It was one of the first all-metal planes build by de Havilland after the "Flamingo" of the 1930s. The construction pioneered the use of "Redux" bonding to glue together sections of metal, resulting in a very strong aerodynamically smooth structure.
The de Havilland DH104 Dove MK8 was the last production Dove and first flew in 1960.
Visitors to the de Havilland Museum are able to explore the inside of this and many other aircraft.
