    It never ceases to amaze me the ingenious ideas people come up with. Anyone with a lathe can make a nice bowl, gut doing it with a table saw and router is much more difficult. If you only have a handful of tools you have to think outside the box. Good brain.

    That was some ingenious ways of circular shaping with a table saw! I see a lot of cautionary comments, but common sense and taking precautions should always be involved in woodworking. Nice job!

    I think we all know the risks involved, with any power machine we must be careful and safety is always first order. You explained your technique and the steps are really helpful. Great video thanks 🙏

    Great job. I do some crazy stuff with a table saw also (circles,cylinders, and coves). Looking forward to doing this with some quarter sawn teak.

    What type of blade are you using on your table saw to make these depth of the bowl? Asking for a friend lol

    • @Fraususemil
      @Fraususemil Рік тому

      I would use a square cut blade.

    • @puuhullu6219
      @puuhullu6219 Рік тому +1

      Just a original blade which came with this saw. Cutting depth is 65 millimeters.

  • @Bad_Wulf
    @Bad_Wulf Рік тому +3

    If that catches and rotates will draw your hand directly into the blade.
    I did exactly the same to myself attempting to cut a circle with a router table, similar approach
    Seriously save yourself the pain, fingers are useful

    Making those tangent cuts without clamping the bowl blank to the sled is terrifying to watch. if the blank rotates during a cut, the blade could grab and twist it and send it flying.

    If you made a jig to rotate the bowl exterior at an incline angle to the blade the bowl wall could be shaped to the rim.
