  • This was a very awesome magnet fishing adventure. I started out at an old grist mill site, then went exploring up the creek and found several Native American "Bedrock Mortars". Afterwards I went Kayaking down the river and discovered a rope tied onto a tree, and it was going out in the water. I followed the rope with my kayak and found a magnet on the end of it. Someone had already beat me to the site, and got their magnet stuck between two rocks to where they had to leave it. I later managed to find a cell phone and several huge pieces of metal . I'm very impressed with the power of my new magnet, I plan on using it again in the future.

Hey there Nugget. If you cut a plastic soda bottle in half, you can run the rope thru the neck of the bottle and cover your magnet. It helps to keep it from getting caught on things when you pull it across the bottom.

Leaving that "found" magnet and rope sets an example for all of us. Might be fun to go back there in the spring and see if it was claimed.

I went magnet fishing a few months ago and also found a magnet. This is featured on one of my videos. I also got heaps of 'thumbs down' because viewers couldn't believe such a find was possible, and it must have been staged. Nuggetnoggin's an honest guy, and this proves finding a magnet is possible.

Nugget, the round holes are created by fast currents and small rocks caught in the current which are swirled around cutting the hole. Totally natural and common in sedimentary rock river beds. Mother nature at work. Pretty awesome!!

I like this kid...About the age of a grand son, if I had one...I loved it when he left the magnet he retrieved from the river, on the bank, for the owners who lost it, to find again, when they come back...He didn't have to do that...Made me feel good when he did...The camera work is pretty good too and makes me feel like I'm there...My thanks to the kid for another good video.

It would definitely get caught up a lot in between rocks and logs it's better to dip off of a high ledge straight up and down when your magnet fishing rather than dragging it across the bottom you're less likely to get caught up that way and magnets are expensive you don't want to lose one 😅

Hey Nuggetnoggin, Aquachigger explains that holes like the one you found are caused by swirling water. That area must become submerged, and the flowing water creates a whirlpool effect. Stones and various other debris then spins inside causing the grinding action that creates the hole.

I haven't seen someone featured in his videos in a long time, but my guess, with Abby, at least, was that people did tend to make lewd comments toward her and maybe he didn't want her to subject her to that. They also could have just broken up.

AquaChigg places the top half of a plastic drink bottle over his magnet to keep it from getting hung up on rocks. Also those holes are naturally formed by a little rock being swirled around for a gazillion years.

This place really looks like an old Indian campground or there home. I love watching this. Thanks for filming
