- This was a very awesome magnet fishing adventure. I started out at an old grist mill site, then went exploring up the creek and found several Native American "Bedrock Mortars". Afterwards I went Kayaking down the river and discovered a rope tied onto a tree, and it was going out in the water. I followed the rope with my kayak and found a magnet on the end of it. Someone had already beat me to the site, and got their magnet stuck between two rocks to where they had to leave it. I later managed to find a cell phone and several huge pieces of metal . I'm very impressed with the power of my new magnet, I plan on using it again in the future.

About Nugget Noggin:
Hey! I'm Michael, I love to get outdoors and discover awesome things
with my metal detector. I started treasure hunting when I was 12 years
old and shortly after received my first metal detector. Since then, I've
been hooked and just love going out to search for the unknown. You
may see me in the woods crawling under an old house or diving down
in the river to search for rings. Wherever the adventure brings us, I'll try
my best to keep you entertained.

For some reason it made me really happy that you retrieved that magnet for the owner and left it all neat and tidy. You're a good man. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
Hey there Nugget. If you cut a plastic soda bottle in half, you can run the rope thru the neck of the bottle and cover your magnet. It helps to keep it from getting caught on things when you pull it across the bottom.
I’m gonna do that now because of you
The best tip ever!
Oh my god, thanks for this tip
nice one Mike G
You to can buy a real magnet cover
Leaving that "found" magnet and rope sets an example for all of us. Might be fun to go back there in the spring and see if it was claimed.
"looks 100 feet deep don't it?" *jumps in* i have a mini heart attack.....Thanks :/
I thought that was so hilarious. He has a good sense of humour :)
LMAO i died from laughter
yes I had a heart attack
I jumped! wasn't ready for that
Oml I had a tiny heart attack too 😂
Looks like a great day Noggin! Thanks for taking me along.
My fam and I love watching you explore. Thanks for taking us along. Merry Christmas!
"That thing looks 100 ft deep, don't it?" *jumps into it with both feet* hahaha - lucky it wasn't!
I went magnet fishing a few months ago and also found a magnet. This is featured on one of my videos. I also got heaps of 'thumbs down' because viewers couldn't believe such a find was possible, and it must have been staged. Nuggetnoggin's an honest guy, and this proves finding a magnet is possible.
Rusty Nails what happen to your videos? U have over 4 thousand subscribers but no videos
"looks like a hundred feet dont it"
**jumps in**
nOOOOOO
Thanks for taking me along on your exploring & magnet fishing trip.
Nugget, the round holes are created by fast currents and small rocks caught in the current which are swirled around cutting the hole. Totally natural and common in sedimentary rock river beds. Mother nature at work. Pretty awesome!!

Thank you Alex Tribec.Yeahbut
Rick Ham . Your welcome! Happy Holidays!

You as well, God Bless.
I think they call them pot holes. Not man made, there's a bunch in Minnesota on the St. Croix river by Taylor's Falls. Tourist site.
no they aren't they are made from native americans
YOU REALLY ARE THE TYPE OF YOUTH THAT GIVES US OLDIES HOPE FOR THE FUTURE
Leaving the magnet for the original owner was a real Christian thing to do. You're awesome! Keep on noggin nugget! :-)
Oh and please use gloves!
I like this kid...About the age of a grand son, if I had one...I loved it when he left the magnet he retrieved from the river, on the bank, for the owners who lost it, to find again, when they come back...He didn't have to do that...Made me feel good when he did...The camera work is pretty good too and makes me feel like I'm there...My thanks to the kid for another good video.
Thank you for cleaning up the rivers, nugget. Thank you for your kindness and generosity towards other people. I hope the owner of the magnet you found comes along and learns something valuable about himself as a result of your caring. Peace, and God Bless.
" that thing looks a hundred feet deep dont it" then all of a sudden he just jumps in lol
Trevor Lewis i laughed so hard at that part
I think that is so admirable that you left the magnet there for the person who lost it. What a great guy you are!
You are so nice, to leave the Magnet. 😊
You Should drag the magnet behind the kayak when you're heading down the creek
What if it gets caught in something
Adrian b I know
It would definitely get caught up a lot in between rocks and logs it's better to dip off of a high ledge straight up and down when your magnet fishing rather than dragging it across the bottom you're less likely to get caught up that way and magnets are expensive you don't want to lose one 😅
Yet more proof of what a exceptional young man you are by leaving that magnet for the owner to find rather than playing the finders keepers game.
i love native american people they knew how to live off the land without killing it i would have love to learn there ways of life as a kid i hunted arrow heads all day and would imagine who made that arrow head and what was his name was i still have my very first arrow head i found i found it back in 1978 im 51yrs old now born 1967 best times of my life was in the 70's good people back then anyway god bless native americans and the rest and thank you for letting me find the arrow heads i was so excited about finding them god bless native americans and you to nugget god bless you and family
Nugget you are beautiful. Freeing that stuck magnet and leaving it there was perfect. Excellent example to the youth of today.
At first I got disappointed because I thought you were going to take the magnet ; I'm so happy that you left it, you're a good man! God Bless you and Merry Christmas.
That was so awesome leaving the magnet behind for the owner!!!! Your such considerate person!!!
I want to be just like you when I grow up. Oh, wait.............I want to be just like you even though I am grown up. You are inspiration for a father of three sons. You just go to show that
youngsters today can function through life without video games and constantly being on a device. Thank you NuggetNoggin!!!!!!!!!
You legit scared me when you jumped into that hole lol
I just love how speak man you seem so awesome and so positive in your videos. Also love the scriptures you put on your entro we need more people like you.
uses spray paint can lid to remove metal off of magnet... mastery level: expert
Looks like a sweet place for arrowhead huntin! and shows alot of character leaving that magnet there for them to find. Awesome video man!
For a magnet fisherman to leave a magnet sitting on the bank is a hard decision 😅 you did a good deed there 👍💜 even if the original owner don't find it karma's going to get you back for that😁 because that was amazing 🥰
I really like the channel and content. I find you are such a gentleman with amazing manners, something sorely lacking in the youth of today.
I always feel I'm right there with you in all your vids . Thx 4 all that you do !💜
You took my breath away when you jumped in that hole! You find the coolest things ~ ~ ~
Nuggetnoggin and Bob Ross are the best sleep medicine.
That was pretty cool of you to leave that magnet for who ever lost it , props 🤘🏼
Now that is your good deed for the day, you left the magnet for the guy that lost it.
I've seen those holes on cliff faces here in Wv. Locals said these were made by native Americans for water storage. I enjoy your Videos, Thank You !
I have had people put trash where I hunt. ... You would be surprised how stupid they are when doing so. Go back and look for mailing address. Give it to your local sherif. It works. Two people have gotten fines because I have done so and had to go clean it up. Lol.
Would be nice if my local law enforcement would go after the dumpers. Instead they tell the trash dumper who turned them in, with phone numbers!
Pepe Inc good point but you sound really ignorant when you use language like that. Your statement would have more credibility without it.
Haven't seen you find any "carter quarters" (small multi sided dollars)
“Then he said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of magnets.’”
Magnet 4:19
I HAD A ROUGH DAY....BUT CAME HOME WATCH YOUR VID AND YOUR LAUGH IS SO CONTEGIOUS AFTER WATCHING
FELT BETTER THANK YOU FOR TAKING US WITH YOU ,,,,,YOU MADE MY DAY BRIGHTER.........PEACE......
i have alot of respect for you for leaving that magnet for the guys that lost it
Hey Nuggetnoggin, Aquachigger explains that holes like the one you found are caused by swirling water. That area must become submerged, and the flowing water creates a whirlpool effect. Stones and various other debris then spins inside causing the grinding action that creates the hole.
“That looks a thousand feet deep don’t it” *jumps in without bending knees to break fall*
I love it when you (and Beau) go off topic to show beautiful and unusual things you find along the way.
After being in the water for so long, that caution sign looked COOL.
rest in peace, dog. that is one of the few things ill actually get sad over. :'(
That was nice of you to leave their magnet for them, I've had one get stuck too
I love watching your river episode's, doesn't matter to me if your either magnet fishing or hunting for relic's, your entertaining and makes me want to be out there with you !😎
Lol "That thang looks a hundred feet deep, don't it" *jumps in*
Not sure what changed but you always end your videos by actually speaking the words thank y'all for watchin. God Bless. It just didn't have the same energy that I'm used to. Great video. Great seeing you explore. Just caught me off guard.
Nugget you seem to go alone most of the time on these adventures. I like your videos and the vibe that you have. You seem like a really nice kind of guy. Keep up the good work !
Panthera Pardus
There was a beautiful girl Abby, his female friend or girlfriend, whom you can see in his past videos. Now she doesnt come anymore.. :((
Very often you can see (such as at the end of this video) that he has someone with him off camera, or holding the camera. I haven't seen someone featured in his videos in a long time, but my guess, with Abby, at least, was that people did tend to make lewd comments toward her and maybe he didn't want her to subject her to that. They also could have just broken up.
I magnet fish a lot in rivers lost a magnet or two, that was awesome of you to leave it so the person could get it. Thats cool !!
Very cool you left the peoples magnet and rope. You are a very honorable man.
Mike... Al-Fu here man. I'll be up in the area around Christmas time... Let's get some swing time in if you are able.
Be well,
Al-Fu
“Looks a 100 feet don’t it” *jumps in and its only 4 inch’s deep* *quickly ends the scene*
"Looks like a 100 feet".
Then jumps in....
at Kanawha falls West Virginia at the dam there--there is zillions of those holes from small to huge--what happens is a small stone gets caught and the water current uses that stone as it swirls around to make the holes bigger and bigger--God bless.
Nuggetnoggin, Your videos are fantastic. I love your enthusiasm for what you are doing is contagious. You even seem to be excited when you find a "stinkin lincoln". Keep up the good work! Do you have any recommendations for a decent entry level detector? Have a Merry Christmas!
Me:(thinking) hey, you should put a stick in that hole to see how deep it is...
Nugget: *jumps in*
I enjoy watching your videos as they not only show great finds from detecting by beautiful places and you give a little history lesson too ! Keep on doing great videos !
"that thing looks a hundred feet deep don't it'?" *immediately jumps in*
Cool video Micheal, I have tried Magnet Fishing once, I found one little piece of steel, at least I did not get skunked lol. I will do it again. Some cool exploring, I like caving also. That's cool you got that magnet unstuck and left it there, I hope the rightful owners get's it back. I miss my kayak and canoe, Have a great Holiday Day Season and Stay Safe Out There.
"looks 100 feet deep"
*jumps in with both feet*
My stomach dropped when you jumped in that hole lol
Very good. Getting someone's magnet out and leaving them for the owner. Great job.
Thank you
You are the first Christian river finder I have seen so far!
Nugget. The holes are called potholes. They are a landform feature cased by the currents in the river and the abrasive action of cobbles.
18 mins in is why I’m crying in the club. Poor puppy
"that thing looks 100 feet deep dont it?" *jumps right in*
An honest young man, you are. I enjoy your videos immensely. Thank you!
I love how your videos are wholesome and teach other ppl that u tube has some great examples of good kids thank you
If you have any bloopers, i bet we'd all get a kick watchin em
"Looks like it goes a hundred feet, don't it?" **Jumps in and gets completely submerged in water**
that was different. an interesting switch from your regular videos , but very entertaining.
You're da man for leaving that magnet.
Thanks for another adventure outdoors. I've seen were people cut the very top portion off a plastic 2 liter bottle and attach it over the top of the magnet, helps keep it from getting hung up. I like the sound effect when the magnet hit the water. God Bless you and yours.
Nugget your laugh is infectious, another great "fishing" adventure
Happy Christmas and a Healthy, Happy New Year to you and yours. Take care Mary-Ellen UK
Hey mr. Noggin I love your videos your smile and your enthusiasm is very infectious and I just love to watch him I enjoyed the one with you and aquachigger to keep doing what you're doing have a Merry Christmas
i don't know what there are called but the holes are basically rocks that get stuck in the crevices then the river is high the rocks currow into the hole over time you get a perfectly round hole.
yep natural hole formations like the squatch says.. gold will collect in them holes also.. if they are in the right area. look for full ones to pan out. any one of em might have a nugget.. good vid..
That was real nice of you to leave that magnet. Great vid.
That's your magnet!! you visited the sight before and tossed the magnet in, it got stuck on a rock and you couldn't get it out. This video was your first visit to the old mill location.
Always a pleasure to watch , full of enthusiasm and interesting facts , just a nice guy .
Keep up the good work Sir !
Mick , from good old Blighty !! 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
thanks for cleaning up the river old chap! that's one less sign the rest of us have to deal with :D I've seen those rock holes from time to time and always wondered about them. I guess now i know.
I love when he says, " I'll take it"
This kid, I will say cause I'am 66 years old puts Christ in his life first. As for thumbs down is because they are jealous or they don't know how to make good videos like this. Just think if every young man in america were like him there would be no crime or drugs. Keep up the good work Nugget.
YOU'RE WERE/ARE MY VERY FIRST TOUTUBER EVER YOU ARE THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aquachigger tells about how the holes are made in one of his videos.
"thing looks a 100 feet deep, don't it?" *Jumps in*
Nice display of kindness my FRIEND
Hi Nugget, at the end of the video when you were pulling that sign up I said to my Husband that it would be pretty funny if it was a no fishing sign lol. Great video, thank you. xx
LOL It sure wood have been fun knee.
Sue Girling
I live your videos to
I LOVE your videos lol😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
I knew you was going to leave the lost magnet for the owner to recover. You are a good man and i enjoy your videos very much.
I bought myself a magnet and rope a couple months back and have not yet had free time to go fishing with it but i'll be ready when the time comes.
Take care and have a Merry Christmas.
You should put the magnet in one of those holes in the rocks
Good idea
Great fun in the river, where I'm from in Minnesota magnet fishing would be ice fishing.
I love magnet fishing! Awesome video, great finds. Merry Christmas.
AquaChigg places the top half of a plastic drink bottle over his magnet to keep it from getting hung up on rocks. Also those holes are naturally formed by a little rock being swirled around for a gazillion years.
that was nice of you to leave that magnet
"That thing looks hundred feet deep don't it?" *proceeds to jump in it*
This place really looks like an old Indian campground or there home. I love watching this. Thanks for filming
