Crooked I is one of the most underrated rappers ever, and he is so skilled and talented too, unlike a lot of industry garbage. This needs 50,000,000 views at least.
At one time I thought Crooked I was the weakest link in the crew but dude has no weakness at all. Slaughterhouse is THE nicest group period.

freestyle or prewritten... it was dope. my opinion, for the most part, real freestyles you aint gonna find on tv or online, its done in ciphers on corners or what have you. those the freestyles where they just goin strictly off the top. some still freestyle off the top, but its far and few in between. personally, i feel as long as they rappin good lyrical content... i dont care if its off the top or prewritten. i dont wanna hear boring or non creative raps.

Most rappers dont freestyle anymore when they goto these dj shows and bassment etc. I rather hear a hard verse, something worth listening to. Then a half ass, off the top piece. Em and a few others are nasty on the Free, to the point that its worth listening too. I believe alotta artists are like myself, well have dope ass freestyles, but most the time there not "on the spot" situations, there in the studio, or on the corner.

@kngjames83 It is the original definition of freestyle. There's no real point, no real topic, just spitting freely. Improvisational is coming straight off the top of the head. That has only recently been given the "freestyle" term. Listen to Big L's Big Picture, '98 Freestyle had lines in it that was in the D.I.T.C album. A freestyle in the truest, realest, more original meaning of the word can be written.

to answer your question, yea sort of. cats that are being filmed or broadcasted over the radio/internet these days arent going to blow their chance tryin to come off with some crazy freestyle (off top) that they can potentially fuck up on. they know they have to reach the audience with some crazy shit they rehersed to sell their swag/image. its all business-

@Tagthewrld - Well these dudes are precise writers and aren't really known for freestyling so of course it's not a freestyle! I'm sure they weren't tryna pass it off as a freestyle. I'm sure you know that freestylin' is a lost art these days. KRS comes from a era where freestyling was a more glorified part of the culture than writing a hit song. Those tides have completely changed now. Whether written or freestyle the shit they spit was still better than most! SLAUGHTERHOUSE!!!
