I was fortunate to have seen them perform a few years ago in San Diego at the downtown Symphony Hall, and the acoustics were incredible! Great evening! 😀 🎷🎶🎵
The last of the touring big bands has rationalized what has been their standard instrumentation for decades. So sad. They’ve not only rationalized the band itself but also the leadership. I had the opportunity to see the band when it was led by both Buddy Morrow and Larry O’Brian. It was so much more authentic seeing the band led by a trombone player out in front of the band and not sitting within the band. I’m off to see them again in a few weeks and I’m also curious if they’ve rationalized the quartet to something “less than” as well. The band is a relic of the past and it’s not lost upon me how expensive it is to tour all year with this many personnel. This was a big reason for the demise of the big bands. There are a few phenomenal big bands out there (Gordon Goodwin’d Big Phat Band, Brian Setzer Orchestra) still but they do not tour with any regularity and no one has the catalogue of hits that the Glenn Miller Orchestra has. We’re watching a piece of history slowly fade away…..😢
Wow, I'm speechless. Fantastic.

I've seen them perform in my area three times and they're always outstanding.
OMG !!!!
Only 3 trumpets and 3 trombones? OK, the world has officially gone to hell.
😮
