Always liked the styling of these cars, very nicely proportioned.

A cat inspecting a Kitten. You couldn't have planned that. Priceless. Reliant was virtually unheard of in Ireland. In fact, I don't remember any dealerships here at all. We tended to go more for little Fiats and, of course, the Mini. The Kitten looks like acceptable transport for anyone who wasn't big into cars and only had basic requirements. Would love to try one out. Bet it was great fun, as long as you didn't flog it down motorways.
Thanks, you rounded off Monday nicely.

This was an alternative car for those who were a bit worried about the safety and stability of the Reliant Robin 3 wheeler cars.

Headlamps are indeed Allegro, Avenger, Capri MK2. Very basic car, and the engine much easier to work on than a Robin. It was expensive compared to other "mini" cars of the time and so didn't sell in great numbers and it tripled in price due to inflation in the late 70s. I can drive my Kitten estate and hardly anyone knows what it is. A little bit anonymous. But drive a Robin and everyone notices and it's basically the same car. Only major difference is ofc the front end, with a unique suspension set up not used on any other vehicle.

In one of the pics in the brochure I spotted a Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato...

That mustard interior seat material could have come straight out of the slightly later Rover SD1 3500.
