As a musical virtuoso Hélène Grimaud is frequently performing with many of the world's major orchestras and renowned conductors. When travelling she seeks sanctuary where she can find "utter peach, warmth, friendliness and repose". She is a particular fan of Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London where she feels "more at home and at one with the world". The charity of her choice is the Wolf Conservation Center in the U.S.
