- We celebrated the full commercial launch of our Gigabit 1 (G1) broadband wireless platform on October 6 (2021), with the help of early-adopter customers MTN, British Telecom, Wisper Internet, Liberty Global, and Resound Networks. This brief highlights reel from the event features these operators' enthusiastic reports on their experiences with our solution to the persistent digital divide and the downsides of monopoly broadband markets, a cool demo of our industry first in unlicensed-band interference cancellation, and an overview of our platform approach from our CEO, Basil Alwan. I have over a year now installing this for clients in SA. It is not only about installing but understanding the parthlose and getting the correct RX Signal level to eliminate interference, packet loss and high latency.
Got mine installed on Thursday, great stuff!
All I want for Christmas is a Tarana cluster.

When and how can I buy the G1 devices in India ?
When I first got upgraded to 400mb it worked flawlessly. But after about 2 weeks the speeds became really inconsistent running 50-250mb nothing higher and the places that I would speed test to the latencies went from a stable idle latency of 14-16ms to an unstable 25-50ms and jitter running between 45-100 and packet loss of 1-5%. What made it even worse is the very unstable under load latencies especially on upload, the latencies would jump up to 600-900ms and get so bad that even with 200mb plus speed my internet couldn't even carry voice and only would work with electronics with buffers. My Security Cameras, Teamspeak, Phone, and don't even try and internet gaming, I just couldn't do anything but stream on my TV because of how unstable the latencies were. My ISP Nextlink had me rebooting the Tarana again and again, they told me that they involved Tarana tech to fix the issue and for about 3 weeks I dealt with the inconsistent latency and speed issues, it may be good for a few hours and then be totally crap again for a few hours. Anyways after 3 weeks the issue seemed to be fixed and I again had awesome consistent internet like it was when they first hooked it up. Unfortunately, about a week a week later it started doing exactly the same things again. Of course, I called my ISP last week and they again had me again rebooting the Tarana and finally decided that they are going to send somebody to my house on this Wednesday the 11th of May. This morning I woke up and found that I again all day seemed had consistent speeds of 380-420mb like I had before when it was working properly but the latencies are still just a bit higher than they were originally at 14-16ms they are 25-30ms to the same servers that I always speed test to but that is acceptable when the under-load latencies are less than the idle latencies and the jitter is around 25-30, I can do anything and everything on my internet if it would stabilize as it is currently today. I am about 2.5 miles direct line of sight to the tower with no obstructions and when this equipment is working properly it is amazing. I have some faith that these issues can be resolved because I have a friend that has the same internet as me from the same ISP and he hasn't had any of the issues I have had so it is very frustrating. I hope that they figure out Wednesday what it is that is causing the unstable inconsistent internet that I have had off and on intermittently since upgrading from their 50mb fixed wireless (which I didn't have any issues with other than I wanted and needed more bandwidth).
After having such a good day yesterday with my internet with everything working as intended, to the point that I thought that maybe it is possibly fixed my internet this morning my internet has gone crazy again with unreliable speeds only 50-150mb, really high under load upload and download latencies of 500-1,000. Again, anything like voice communication, my doorbell camera, etc... absolutely do not work, another system reboot will temporarily make it somewhat better but not fix it either. I am starting to think that I have a bad node and hopefully tomorrow they replace it, and it fixes everything. Voice communication is so important at my house I am a 100% disabled Veteran and cell phones unfortunately only work intermittently at my house and I depend on WiFi Calling for my phone and my wife's phone.

What's with the CGI mast during the outdoor test?
Hi, Keith - You've caught one of the downsides of assembling a summary of our story from an event where we only got one take with the video. To capture Sergiu emceeing the demo well, given that the relatively poor light that morning was behind him, our cameraman dialed up exposure - which washed out things that were in direct sun behind him, like the RN on its pole on top of the van. It's barely visible at all in the original. Our video editor layered in a snapshot of the setup from the day before . . . unfortunately merging a still shot with video frame by frame in AfterEffects can only get you so far . . . Just wanted you (and any others who catch it) to know there was no subterfuge intended, just a production-values edit.
@@stevenglapa8783 Thanks Steven. I can completely understand and appreciate the response. I'm excited for this technology and what it means to the WISP industry.
Cool
this was a fail in my area
Why a fail?
I agree it’s having alot of issues from 5-30 min start up / reboot times to just being very temperamental if they get the bugs out it will be amazing and it definitely can shoot through trees
@@dylanschaffer8311any updates on if they ironed out the issues? I'm looking into this net cause my other rural options get me like 2 mbps at peak times to 13 when it's late at night lol. Does it have issues during peak times?
