I called Elite force about getting a co2 version and the guy I talked to said he didn't know when they would come out with one. I don't thank he knew what he was talking about. I did hear that the co2 pistol s are c&c machined and will operate smoother than the green gas version. I'll be waiting for the co2 version to get to the USA.

Great review...and yes, the US versions have the orange tips, but they are removable with a little boiling water, and they are threaded, and screw off just like the WE version of the G17.
Do you know what size the threading is? All videos I've seen say it's larger than 14
i have the co2 version. what i really dislike are those stamped pieces of metal in the gripassembly that guide the slide. on my example they ground their way into the aluminium of the slide, because they weren't dechamfered properly after stamping. i'd rathe have a milled piece, as in all my other guns which either were the same price or even cheaper.
it's great to hear that the green gas and co2 mags are interchangable. so i can get myself a greengas mag if a field restricts power.
the silicone oil capsules are commonly referred to "maintenance capsules", i have a pack from the german manufacturer "diana". you use one of those after about every 10 regular co2 capsules, if you don't have time to do a proper maintenance. so like of you're on a larger airsoft event, or if you use the pistol a lot.
Try the co2 mag on the green gas and the green gas on the c02 gun

I live in America and bought my CO2 GLCK17 Blowback without the orange tip at a local Cabela's. The grip is different from the dotted Euro version. I noticed also the magazine design is different. I also bought the GLCK 19 without the blowback and trust me if you want more power then stick w the 19 version as blowback action affects power w CO2s

I use the co2 mags and played it at 0 degrees. I had no issues putting out 3 Mags per cartridge. Pretty awsome result.

Another great video from Mike that I've watched several times, and am now ready to take the plunge. However...a couple of questions regarding the Co2 versions. The video is for the VFC Gen 4. There is now a KWC Gen 4 that shoots at 1.3 joules (the VFC is 1 joule) and has a 17/18 round mag without the butt plate. Its more than 100g heavier but the slide doesn't appear to be CNC milled. The Deluxe version is Gen 3 only, but has a CNC slide and a case. What should I go for?

Thank God! Where I live it gets hot, very hot and Green Gas doesn't work great in hot climates and I'm moving to New York soon and it gets pretty cold!

Holster compatibly would be a great idea. As I don’t play airsoft and intend to use this as a force on force trainer for my real g17 gen 4. Allot cheaper to shoot as well as I can use it as a step above dry fire.

Quick question, as I'm literally just taken interest in this sport (live in the UK) and not even started up a collection of Airsoft yet something is confusing me. Many years ago I have had air pistols and a couple of rifles and now I'm looking into starting an Airsoft collection I have notice withought an Airsoft license guns need to be two tone right? So how come they let you buy "air pistols" that are more or less the same thing (apart from the BB size) and not need it two tone painted?
Did you tried use CO2 mag in GreenGas pistol and vice versa?

Thanks for your comparison! I found there are two variants of CO2 version from UMAREX, 2.6434 (flat magzine bottom like Green gas version) and 2.6415 (with an extended part on the bottom of magzine), what is the difference and which one shoud I choose? Many thanks.

Glocks and 1911s are my most favourite handguns and I already have a elite force 1911 a1 now it’s time for me to get a glock :)
The Co2 one is a gen 5 and the greengas one is a gen 3 or 4. You can tell quickly by the finger grooves in the grip.

Hi AM, I got the G17 Gen4 green gas version (love it btw) and did a side by side comparison with your Co2 version and my green gas internals are identical to your Co2 version except, I have an extra hole behind the screw where you thought you had a crack. I'm gonna risk using Co2 mags though so fingers crossed.

Be carful I bought one and it locks back when you put a brand new cartridge in so I usually have so let some co2 out for about 4 seconds if you find out a better method please let me know

The EF Co2 Glock 17 is my current secondary but I'm seriously considering buying the Glock 18C or running a JAG Taran Tactical 2011 this season. I like Glocks but I like the form factor of 1911s and Hi Capas a little better.

can you interchange both slides (Gen. 4 GBB & Gen. 4 Co2?) Also is the Co2 Slide better, i’ve seen Videos where Gen. 3 has a much better Slide (Marking, Metal,..) I love the Gen. 4 Look but consider the Gen. 3 (Slide is NOT compatible with 4) because of the better quality. Can tell me because people complain about a scratchy slide but only with gen. 4 not 3. If this is true i‘ll wait for a newer version. I got the Gen. 4 GBB G17 btw. But not the „older model“ to compare.

The Glock 19 B.B. pistol by Umarex, will fit in the Micro Roni carbine adapter for the real Glock 17, 22, 31. How cool is that? Just use a drop or 2 of gun oil and it slides right in minus the slide cocker which you don’t need since the slide is fixed. Now you have a Glock 19 carbine with all kinds of accessory rails. Put it to your shoulder and blast away!
Is the performance of the CO2 and the green gas version the same when using the green gas magazine?

Can I use green gas mags on the co2 version? Asking because I just feel the need to use co2 in the winter, since The green gas versions has some week parts than the co2 version it would not be recommended to use co2 on the green gas version right? But what about green gas on the co2 version?
These series of Glock are reproduction of the Stark Arms/VFC version produced years ago, with exact trades all around including "Made in Austria Glock Inc, Smyrna, GA" on top of the right side lower receiver and "US. Pat No...." on the bottom right side of the grip. There's no "cal. 6 mm BB.." printing on top of the metal serial no. plate and the magazine is exactly like this version. I'm lucky enough to be able to purchase the G18C model of the same. AFAIC, so far the Stark Arms version is the most exact airsoft replica of the RS ever produced.

I have a Glock 18C green gas version. I have had it for a few years now. Ordered from Red Wolf airsoft website. I’m guessing they had legal issues cause they don’t sell that brand any more, but it is an exact replica of my actual Glock 17. Have you tried the CO2 mag in the green gas version. Curious if it will shoot.
