Hi Carol and Chris, My husband and I are loving your Caribbean island hopping videos. ❤ I have the following questions: 1. When you are traveling from a Caribbean country/island to another Caribbean country/island, do you guys fly with US airlines with a layover in the US? Or do you fly with a Caribbean airline? 2. And if you do fly with a Caribbean airline, where do you book your flights? Is it online on their website or at the airport? 3. I was in Saint Kitts & Nevis. I wanted to travel around, but the prices were super steep compared to traveling within Europe or traveling within Asia. Did you guys notice that, too? 4. Can you make a video or address how much the tickets cost? Example: From Saint Lucia to Jamaica, from Jamaica to Trinidad & Tobago. I look forward hearing from you. Cheers, Jenny
There is an airline Caribbean Airlines that service travel between the islands. US airlines come to the islands from their ports but Caribbean Airlines travels between the islands. Caribbean Airlines also travel from the US and Canada to some islands.
Unfortunately, it is very expensive to travel between islands. For instance, it's cheaper for me to travel to NY or Miami from Trinidad than to go to Anguilla or St Lucia. It has to do with supply and demand. Not many carriers.
@@Travel_plus_adventure - yessss!!!! My gosh! The prices shocked us. We also asked if maybe some islands have ferries. But unfortunately most don’t. Such a shame. It’d be absolutely amazing to have ferries for tourism. The island of Nevis is not far from Antigua & Bermuda, Montserrat and Guadeloupe.
As others mentioned above many islands don't have any direct flights between them which makes the cost very high. We visited st lucia because they had direct flights from Barbados. Other times we have to get a connection flight in Miami. Trinidad and tobago have direct flights to Barbados also. We always boo the flights online, usually checking sites like momondo or skyscanner which show all airline available

What I like about the beaches in Trinidad and Tobago is that they are mostly accessible to the people unlike most of the other Caribbean islands.
yeah they seem good with that. We liked that about St lucia and Barbados also, all the beaches have to be accesible to the public

These islands are very south in the caribbean and are very lucky not to get hit by hurricanes. A good reason to why they remain so beautiful.
yes we didn't experience anything during the last few hurricanes
Everywhere in the Carribean is prone to hurricanes. I do believe Jamaica is more in southern Caribbean..
