    not quite sure what to do with this channel now... I've just privated all my sims content.
    should i delete it? or just play some other cozy games on here? maybe, I can even check out paralives when it drops. i heard there would be no dlc purchases in that game, but who knows! 🤷‍♀

    I’m so relieved to see this! I knew something was off with the direction they were heading… and their latest pack, Life and Death or whatever it’s called. I don’t even know what it’s about, but I was like, ‘Huh, what are they actually trying to do?’ It’s everything but what we’ve been asking for. Girl, you’ve got a new subscriber, and I’m here for more cozy game content! xoxo

    It's been about 2 years since I wasted my money on The Sims 4. Recently I played The Sims 3 and, oh my God. It's so fun! Even with Sims 2, there is so much to do! It's so organic and lively. There's personally and story telling potencial. Here in my country, The Sims 4 is VERY expensive and now I regret buying those packs with my hard earned money, especially for EA, that just dont care about the community.

    I'm editing this bcs i think i was rude before so:
    we have different cultures (specially bcs of religion) but i definitely get you. to me the trailer was hilarious but if i showed it to aunt (shes catholic) she'd hate it. But you can uninstall it like alone and play without it and we have a BUNCH of mods that are almost packs by themselves for free, like expanded mermaids, fairies and witches and bla bla bla
    the choice is yours in the end, but just keep in mind that you can play it normally without this new pack

    Tbh while I do love playing the sims I didnt like the tarrot card system in the new life and death pack. Though I do like some of the other and ephaisis on other content in the pack, but some of it gave wierd vibes. Though, im not looking at this as a end, BUT AS AN OPROTUNITY! Dont like something, WELL imma just remove it and add a cross or some kind of pattern. Then after doin that add a verse when I post it online and boda bing bada boom.
    And tbh I completely get you with the lovestruck pack. I liked the dynamics with the romance, but not the sexual stuff. Someone told me its been there since the begining and that just comes with the sims games. You know what else comes with the sims games. NOT DOING THAT😂! I like recreating fairytales with charcters I like not being M for mature because of boom chicka wow wow.
    But ye as a Christian simmer I got you on that. Oh and also anther thing I would like to add. I do love that other cultures are celebrated in the sims 4. BUT WHERE IS THE CHRISTIAN REP? Bruh we got churches, but no pasters. Funerals, BUT NO CROSSES? Do I need to buy mods to put some Christian rep in my game.... yes. It should be base game my guys😎👍
    God bless thanks for listening to my ted talk

      She’s quitting Sims 4. She’s clearly a sims 4 player not sims 2 player. She is discussing her issues with the evolution of sims 4. She’s also most likely not interested in playing Sims 2. Also the people who created sims 2 is not the same as those who created sims 4. They just take the franchises name for money.

    • @dawngrrrl

      Exactly. It's strange to hear someone talk about how "sexual" and "gross" TS4 is when the previous Sims games make Lovestruck look G-rated. Lovestruck is family friendly imo, like age 10+ is fine. You see much more in a typical PG-13 movie.

      @@sweetxjc I know, but I was simply surprised. Because she was surprised that ts4 took that turn, I know she was not familiar with the previous games. Man I just got TS4 back, I am pissed off with the changes they made, yet I still bought a three-for-one deal and a goth aesthetic pack to suit my OC’s aesthetics. I got problems. I don’t have the newer packs because what even are those. And even though I have the ability to command my sims preferences it takes a lot of effort to make them look acceptable (eg removing their piercings/accessories/body hair etc and having to give them the right pronouns like the developers never had a proper education. It’s hard to enjoy the game and it feels wrong for me to play it :(

    Love love love your perspective on this! I haven’t played the Sims 4 in years for a variety of reasons, but seeing the direction the game has been going (and witnessing the insatiable greed of EA adding DLC that does nothing to change the inherent hollowness of the game) has turned me off from it forever lol. The game definitely normalizes cheating and all around questionable behavior which I don’t really want to engage with (even though some may say it’s “not that deep”). Anyway thank you for sharing your thoughts! Refreshing to hear this perspective, I always respect people who are discerning about the content/media they engage with

  • @LotosAnalysisCorner
    @LotosAnalysisCorner 4 місяці тому +1

    I appreciate the critique of how late-stage capitalism has shaped the way EA produces expansion packs, game packs and any add-on feature: prioritizing the profit over the game not only decreases the level of interest in the game but also makes people turn away from the community. The company have noticed this shift, as way more people are turning away they are trying their best to improve their marketing, instead of the actual game. But as a fellow Christian, I do not think that censoring yourself on the content that you are allowed to watch/enjoy is the best way to be more religious. Anyway, God bless you, sister

    • @kayppuccinokafe
      @kayppuccinokafe  4 місяці тому +7

      I agree! I do think that they have started to take notice! especially after a potential competitor has won over a big part of the sims community and it hasn't even released yet! (Paralives)
      and about your comment on censoring the content I consume not being the best way to be more religious - I wanted to clarify that my goal isn't to be more religious, but to live with the intent of pleasing the Lord and practicing a lifestyle that He teaches us! 🤍
      I practice this lifestyle according to the word, which says "Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God." 2 Corinthians 7:1
      and also "to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." - Ephesians 4:23-24
      I've noticed that since practicing these things, I feel more peace than I've ever felt before!
      I used to think that if God loves us, why did He make us follow so many rules? now, I've realized that these "rules" are not only meant to protect our minds, heart and spirit, but to protect others as well!
      so censoring myself from things that convict my spirit has helped me grow in ways I never knew would be possible! all glory to God! 🤍
      thank you so much for your comment and perspective! I'm sure others might have wondered the same thing! God bless you!!

    I agree. I’m over playing that game especially with the poly stuff. I wish there was an option to turn it off completely from game. It’s too much. The pack looks boring the only thing I liked was the new proposal. Other than that it just normalizes perversion.
    There’s also so little gameplay. All I really like is the CAS. The new Inzoi game looks better and it’s made in SK which is still respectful to religious groups not to add the nonsense.
    I also felt the way you did like I need all the packs if I become a sims 4 player on UA-cam. Also I wanted to do the UA-cam to justify the money I was spending.
    Finally, it’s nice to see a Christian gamer speak out about this despite the backlash and the people who will make fun of you for it. At this point idc what people feel about my opinions and I hope to see more Christians believe the same.

    I think it’s ok to change your mind about how you feel about the game. I used to spend on packs like crazy, then I realized it’s not worth the money.
    Though, I do think that because it’s a sandbox game where you can do whatever you want, you can simply just not use those features that don’t align with your views? It replicates life, like you can choose live a more Christian life in the game as you can in real life. Will you stop living because there’s other people in the world that are more open that way? Not trying to be argumentative, just something I’m thinking about.

    • @kayppuccinokafe

      it's a great question! The beauty of the human experience is that we have choice! We can choose who we support, choose what we consume, choose to stand firmly on our beliefs, etc. I love how we can create a space where we can share our beliefs and find others who share similar experiences, ex. UA-cam/social media. I think it's fair for someone to not openly support something or someone they once had because their beliefs have changed or maybe even if the things they supported have changed! (in this case, my beliefs have changed. sims has stayed pretty consistent with it's direction... I think? lol I didn't play sims 1 or sims 2 I'm only assuming based on some comments)
      thank you so much for your comment! I hope I answered your question well and I know others may have been wondering, too! and you are not coming off as argumentative at all! 🤍🤍

    • @kayppuccinokafe
      @kayppuccinokafe  4 місяці тому +10

      @@norvafons great question! so, I started actively playing sims 4 in 2015 with only having a short history playing sims 3! I think I started playing sims 3 when Into the Future came out, so I was fairly new to the franchise! around 2017-2020 I was going through a lot mentally and spiritually. I knew of Jesus and believed there might have been a God, but didn't have an actual relationship with Him yet and wasn't walking in faith. In 2022, is when I devoted my life to Him (which was by far the best decision of my life 🥰🩷).
      day by day, I started to witness His miracles in and around me. He healed me physically from an illness, he healed my anxieties and depression, He healed my confusion and tormented thoughts. And slowly throughout these two years, I've been practicing being more intentional about what I allow to influence me.
      I realized that when I played sims 4, it no longer brought me the joy it once had. it reminded me of the times I would dump hours and hours and days and days into the game. how i would take better care of my sims than i would of myself. it reminded me of the sin I entertained when I would download inappropriate mods from inappropriate sites.
      so, little by little, God started to remove the desire to play it. (which it had become an unhealthy addiction at one point).
      I understand not everyone may have a similar experience with being addicted to the game, or the game negatively impacting my thoughts and behavior, but it did for me.
      and my intention of making this video was to share my experience in hopes to find others who may have shared a similar experience.
      thanks for the comment! I'm sure others had the same question as I didn't clarify it in the video! God bless!! 🤍

      @@anastasiar5147 I actually do actively read my Bible! when reading it, you are able to understand that it does NOT glorify sin. it actually shows it's consequences and in most cases the person shows the act of repentence or/and God's justice! while on the other hand, a lot of media today (ex. sims, euphoria, etc) is very complacent with sin or entertains forms of it. and in some cases even encourages sin. i hope this gave some insight on some of the bible stories you may have heard about! 🩷 thank you for your comment 😊
