I got the 65" A95K three weeks ago and this TV continues to amaze me every day. The colours, depth and image processing is extraordinary. At 7:23 you can really see the richer colours of the A95K compared to the G3. Reality creation does magical things, older non-4K games on my PS5 have never looked this good. The G3 also seems very nice, but there is something about the Sony that really draws me in. In your video, there seems to be a noticeable black crush on the G3 compared to the A95K, and this seems to be a trend for LG OLED, as well as the Sammy S95B, despite being QD-OLED. The Sony has an extremely well balanced image.

Apparently QD OLED has a stronger tendency towards Burn in. RTINGS has a good video on the topic. White color on the G3 is a better representation of color accuracy. Saturation is not my preference. I prefer natural colors, not hyper digital colors.
Ok. But you should prefer a higher saturation potential. Because you can make any tv look dull, what you can’t do is make any tv pop and look good. Something to think about, I’m only speaking from experience because it’s not common at all people buy TVs as often as I do with the actual purpose of ownership, not reviewing. @7:24 the way the sun hits the trees on the A95k is so different. Like you said, the colors pop more on the A95K but for some crazy reason the LG looks sharper when looking at stone textures or the ground which is usually where LG would lose to Sony (side-by-side detail always favors Sonys and is impossible to overlook). It could also be the TV size difference as a larger TV is effectively the equivalent of zooming in which reduces detail.
Yes... that's what blew me away the most about the QD.. was how bright sunlight looks hitting the environment Also, no one talks about this, but the S95b and Sony both look more clear than the LG C seires.. it almost looks like 8k vs 4k.
G3 is currently more expensive than the A95K, MLA technology truly helped with the brightness and it looks really nice. To my eyes the Sony has more depth, not sure if it’s the colors of QD-Oled or the Processing or maybe a combination of both. I watched this again an noticed a few things. The dyanmic tone mapping on the LG is making for a higher contrast image. This adds popo and depth. But it also comes at the cost of light within the atomospher and shadow and light detail. I don't the TV's are in comparible modes when this was recorded though.
They both look really good on this excellent video. I am not a gamer but I do have the A95K and the pinkish tint to white objects is not what I see on my tv at all. The G3 has a green tint, but perhaps seeing it by itself you wouldn’t notice it either. From the video, it does seem that the Sony has more color potential and brilliance than the LG. But to be honest they both look really great!

The LG looks sharper with more detail. See the textures and edges of elements, secpially in the landscape. I am not sure if this either A) Camera focus difference B) Higher contrast in HGIG from LG (Which HDTV Test has confirmed) or C) Something else. Any ideas?
Colors isn’t just what’s missing though, the tv just lacks the type of look it has held in prior models, since I’ve gone back to the G2, I prefer it over the G3 in gaming mode.

I couldn't notice it in the store, but then agian they had a wall full of qd-oleds and MLA's, couldn't really compare to a regular non MLA woled. Btw you need to play shadow of the Tomb Raider on the sound system, it's got to be the best Atmos implementation in gaming yet.
My issue with my S95c is everything looks kind of flat and the upscaling is so terrible that I notice it, when I’ve never have had an issue with any other tv. And the lack of picture controls/options is driving me a bit crazy.
@@ildaphonse I don’t know. I loved he G2 and C2. I think I liked my G2 more than the S95c. The colors on the S95C are just over bearing and way too “yellowish” and you don’t have too many options for changing color temp.

Oh, and I find both TV's picture oversaturated, LG doesn't look dull to me at all, you can really turn down the colors in your videos, the problem is rather the narrow dynamic range of your camera.
All TVs should have the color set to 50 and i believe the issue is these sets have had zero preliminary calibration. Anything beyond the value of 50 in settings and you're going to be introducing colorbleed where the transition and separation between gradients becomes homogeneous. Not good. I've noticed this issue more and more since LG have become obsessed with software prioritising brightness and contrast at the expense of dynamic range with clipped highlights and crushed blacks, their tome mapping really is working against them here. There's really no denying that QD OLED is superior at color gammuts and accuracy conoared to a WRGB configuration washing the image out. Unlike LG, Sony aren't overcompensating and are more than happy to have an accurate picture over a fake one that wows the lemmings falling for the "shop floor effect". It's like looking at a real object and callingnit boring because it doesn't align with your sensibilities. That is how it is supposed to look. Not everything needs superfluous exaggeration to have impact, even if the impact is nuanced. It's beyond preference and is consumer ignorance that is the issue.
Skies are kind of like the, "litmus test" for balancing colour with brightness. A95K surprisingly failed there (@12:35 onwards). Incidentally, one of your earlier videos of S95B vs A95K showed that A95K was better at rendering the skies (it was the Spiderman game, I got that comparison snapshot as my reference). Sky is way pinkish on A95K, unless that was the theme of that planet. LG G3 looking really good.

Both TVs look fantastic but the Sony edges it. However, neither are perfect; the Sony has a pinkish red tinge, and the LG has a green tinge. I'd like to know if they can be improved with calibration.
It's actualy a intrinsic issue with WRGB OLED. Let me explain: The white point of QD OLED is far more accurate due to how it can reproduce a combination of colors due to the quantum dots fitting the blue substrate into the other primary colors or combination of colors to create white. Unfortunately WRGB OLED appear too blue because it is combining pixels at different luminance levels all competing to balance eachother out, great in theory, however, different colors always have different frequencies, some more dominant that the other. LG also suffer with a desaturating effect due to the white subpixel in this regard. LG is compensating by trying to normalise and approximate white according to the scene which in that case is predominantly green, hence why theres a bias towards that hue. It's similar to how cranking the color values introduces color bleed influencing other areas that is has started to effect with less effective separation. Yhe point is you can only calibrate so much before you run into a brick wall with tech limitations.

How do you rate the price per performance between the two models? I know you upgrade consistently. But if you were going to hold one of these TV's for, say three years after purchase. What would you feel holds more value? And not too many questions here.....but as a fire tv user myself do you find it more convenient using a fire stick for content with these TV's or would you prefer to use the onboard webos/google tv with either the lg or the Sony? If I were to be 100% honest, the LG C1 OLED that I still own in 77” from 2 years ago would be my main driver today had I never purchased Samsung s95B. Had it not been for me buying S95B and not being happy with its full potential, I mean by way of quality build, etc, then I would not have got the A95K. Had it not been for A95K not being limited to 65” as a maximum size, I would have not got S95C in 77”, had it not been for S95B being such a disappointment to my own taste, I would have never got S90C to see how they did the second time around, because that tv truly is a replacement of it. I’m not saying all this to be a troll. The truth is that without me moving the way I do with TVS, I’d be okay with the C1. Still. MLA G3 isn’t worth the upgrade if you have a C1 in my opinion. I think next year might be better so with that said, 3/4 year upgrade if you get the right tv, the C1 was the right tv.
The LG looks much better. As you mentioned, its colors look more natural, but it also looks cleaner in every way. More detail, less blown out highlights, smoother motion.
UA-cam is not accurate, you will have to listen to what he says. Have the LG C1 and A95k, depth is due to LG leaning towards crushing more blacks, you can adjust the Sony darker to add more depth thru ps5 hdr calibrating easily, their auto hdr feature when first hook it up to your console will lean toward lifted blacks. Their auto feature was 2 clicks from the bottom from true blacks, changing that to 0 which HDTVtest recommends will add more 3d pop like the LG but with brighter highlights. I was impressed how LG handled Dolby vision though, movies looked great, picture quality Sony all day.
Not bias of any metric but it seems like all QDtvs in a bright area like 7:05 when the sun hits objects , the colors always looks artificial to me. It overly saturates everything which makes the content look cartoonish instead of true to the creators intent. Idk if it’s tone mapping or what…. Looks weird 🤷🏽♂️
The G3 eventhough it is ag goos tv, looks dull and washed out. MLA is good for improving brightness but not colour volume. It struggling next to the A95K in this comparison.
I don’t think game mode has issues, it’s just game mode. Other modes don’t offer me game mode features and so because it’s only a game tv for me, I would not use those.
@@AllAboutTKK Have you tried using filmmaker mode with ALLM on and the game dashboard on? It supposedly give you the color boost that is not present in game mode on the G3, but with the benefits of low input lag, although 1 frame higher than game mode.
@@emilegc Yes, I was about to post the same. With VRR (G-/Free-Sync) enabled, the latency is pretty low (13-15ms) yet with game mode the LG G3 panel runs only at 60% of its full potential.
Sony TVs are usually always better than LG and Samsung. Hard to beat their build, upscaling and motion processing. I'm still gonna wait till the Sony A95L comes out in July. The much improved brightness of it will be a game changer and it should blow the S95C and G3 off the planet!
I own 2 PS5. Most games are gone run at 60 if that, so basically buying a tv that can do 120 would be hard to play on for me when the games can only do false 4k in 60, feel me?

Only the Samsung, Sony as a heatsink with no reports of any faults or burn in. The Sony is also the most accurate tv made to date.

You can touch the options in gamming mode to make the colors go up on the g3.

In my finding you have to study for the raised blacks. In a home setting if the light is fairly muted, no issue.
The depth or better on the lg but the green tint is a issue for last couple years on lg

I was impressed how LG handled Dolby vision though, movies looked great, picture quality Sony all day.

Not bias of any metric but it seems like all QDtvs in a bright area like 7:05 when the sun hits objects , the colors always looks artificial to me. It overly saturates everything which makes the content look cartoonish instead of true to the creators intent. Idk if it’s tone mapping or what…. Looks weird 🤷🏽♂️
The G3 eventhough it is ag goos tv, looks dull and washed out. MLA is good for improving brightness but not colour volume. It struggling next to the A95K in this comparison.

I don’t think game mode has issues, it’s just game mode.
Other modes don’t offer me game mode features and so because it’s only a game tv for me, I would not use those.

@@AllAboutTKK Have you tried using filmmaker mode with ALLM on and the game dashboard on? It supposedly give you the color boost that is not present in game mode on the G3, but with the benefits of low input lag, although 1 frame higher than game mode.
@@emilegc Yes, I was about to post the same. With VRR (G-/Free-Sync) enabled, the latency is pretty low (13-15ms) yet with game mode the LG G3 panel runs only at 60% of its full potential.

Sony TVs are usually always better than LG and Samsung. Hard to beat their build, upscaling and motion processing. I'm still gonna wait till the Sony A95L comes out in July. The much improved brightness of it will be a game changer and it should blow the S95C and G3 off the planet!

I own 2 PS5. Most games are gone run at 60 if that, so basically buying a tv that can do 120 would be hard to play on for me when the games can only do false 4k in 60, feel me?

I don’t have any stakes in whatever a person buys, you make videos? If you do then you know the time it takes to create the content? It all the 500+ I made were just for me with no financial gain then man between having a wife and 8 kids and a career and a business man I would be really having a lot of time. I put this together to build engagement, I can’t and won’t alter my own delivery of how I speak though, everyone is entitled to their opinion but as a none sponsored owner of the panels that I display, I feel I have the full right to articulate my perspective the way I feel. I don’t think I’ve ever said anything that had been unrealistic or misleading beyond whatever my own perspective has been.
