I loved the intro. You had footage of the train selection, payment and going through the entrance gate to the train platform. With some subtle instrumental Christmas music on the side. I felt welcomed.
@@Lukas_Pailiv lol I grew up in a place where we regularly have bears in the backyard or trying to steal the bird feeders from the front porch. Not too worried, just a matter of being aware and generally knowing how to avoid them and what to do if you encounter one.
I love Chris, the banter between you two is always fun, but it's refreshing to see you with positive people who fit your positive demeanor. The whole video has a really nice vibe
i do admit snow makes it very pretty and nice and very pleasing to the eye...visually it's awesome...but don't miss the cold, wet and what not that comes with it...
I’ve been binging your videos between your channels for the past month or so. Helps me so much with my anxiety 😌 I’m a new subscriber but I’ve watched almost all your videos already 😂
Thank you for existing Sharla ✨ You and Chris' were the only reason I made an account a few years ago. You are without a doubt *(still!)* in my top five favorite channels.
Getting the notif for Sharla's vlogs is like getting a little present. 🥰 The beautiful landscape and the shrines all covered in snow made me feel so wistful. I've never been to Japan, I just long to see such pristine nature! Those cedar trees were majestic af. 🌲🌲🌲
I LOVED the snowy landscape but that light show was something else. It looked absolutely magical! Like an enchanted forest straight out of a Ghibli film!
Thank you for showing this. My Aunt Michiko always talked about how lovely her homeland is in the Winter and I have never gotten the chance to go see Japan first hand. She is in her late 80's now and lives in Texas. So far from me in Pennsylvania. We no longer get snow this time of year in the southesatern corner of PA below Philadelphia. I loved seeing this. Made me think of things the way the weather was when I was a kid in my tens and teens.
I loved visiting Towada Lake on the weekends when we lived in Aomori Prefecture. Never went when it snowed, but boy, is that beautiful. I'm so glad our favorite noodle restaurant is still open and you got to eat there. Looks like they expanded their menu since the early 90s. I'm glad everything is still just as beautiful as I remember it.
I paused at shortly after 1 minute, just to comment on how jealous I am of the snow, where I live in Sweden. The little snow we got has melted away, so if you would be so kind and send some snow my way. I promise to eat all my veggies and pet all the cats I see 😺
Liked before even watching haha!! I know it’s always gonna be good anyways 😂 Your vlogs brighten up my day, I look forward to them so much. Much love from New York!!
Such a cozy vlog 💗 it's cold here, but no snow.. thanks for sharing the winter vibes 🌨️ You should try making a moss terrarium, it's super easy to care for especially if it's enclosed!
I'm glad you're getting to experience some quality snow without the horror of having to dig out from it every day, haha! Aomori looks so gorgeous this time of year!
The shrine was beautiful in the snow!! I'd been wondering about those footprints from when you posted the pic of them! I didn't know there were Japanese badgers! It looked like a lot of fun, thank you for taking us along for the ride with this lovely video~♡ ♡ ♡
definitely check out an onsen or hot outdoor spa 🧖♂️ while here in Japan!! it is the best when snow falls on your head while soaking in steaming hot water 🌋
I was stationed in Misawa for 2 years and it's crazy to think that I went to all those same places in Aomori. It's amazingly beautiful any time of the year and the nearby Hakkoda mountains are a dream to skii on.
Thank you for this! As soon as you started talking to the camera, I thought "Oh, I've missed Sharla!" Hope you are well and I'm glad that you got to experience Aomori on such a beautiful, snowy day. I hope your videos for work went well and that you had a great time. I loved seeing the cedar trees in the snow.
Vancouver got a white Christmas this year but this beats it by miles! What a beautiful place to spend this time of year, and may you have a happy and safe new year as well
What a beautiful shrine in the snow ❄️ I need to get myself back to Japan and explore all the beautiful places I missed the last couple of times. I still haven't even tried amazake!
I moved from a cold climate to a warm climate a few months ago, so this is my first warm winter and its making me depressed. Thank you for this video! I felt like I was back home again
The snow settling on Jordan’s afro was the cutest thing 😆 The projection they had against the shrine reminded me of the Lumiere Festival projection they did at Durham Cathedral here in the UK this year 😊
Living for all this snow! Its unseasonably warm 60°F where I live today, no hope for a white xmas again this year. Also the mention of badgers gets the honey badger thing from years ago stuck right back in my head.
yassss snowy japan is best japan! once ive done my first trip to japan to do the 'normal' stuff im defo going in winter to the north! Also ive seen that its actually snow a load rn in japan! Maybe another snow video to come?
Real talk, the music played when you guys were at the shrine is what I've filled half my Spotify playlist with and wish I knew the name of it to add it on as well, lol. What a beautiful day you had! Makes me wish I lived somewhere with snow again, like when I was a child in Alaska. Now I live in Alabama and any snow we get here in the central part of the state lasts no more than two or three days (and that's mostly on roofs. The ground usually is free from snow within 24 hours).
Great Christmas lights on a Buddhist temple. I used to drink amazake when I lived in Hawaii It's good hot or cold. Here's to a healthy, happy New Year. Peace!
Looks like a fun snow day! The shrines look beautiful in the snow. We are having a mild winter here in the southeastern USA, but hope we get at least one good snow for the winter
Love Amazake! First discovered it in Kamakura when I went to Japan in 1997. It was November and they sold it outside at all the shrines. There’s a company in LA that sells it.
Your editing is so aesthetic and you do a great job at making us feel that we are there with your friends. Thank you for the tour, I loved it! Hope to try those apples sometimes :)
I love your videos Sharla! Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊 We have had 8 inches of snow here in Edmonton. Alberta. Canada since Monday. Digging myself out the last few days. It is -27C with a wind chill of -35C today. ❄️ We are a hearty bunch here. 😜⛄️❄️ Have a Merry Christmas🎄& a Wonderful 2022! 🎊🎉 The shrine at night is so beautiful! ⛩
I loved the intro. You had footage of the train selection, payment and going through the entrance gate to the train platform. With some subtle instrumental Christmas music on the side. I felt welcomed.
Aomori is definitely one of the places on my list for whenever I'm able to visit Japan! It looks like such a cool place to visit!
Beware the bears :D
@@Lukas_Pailiv lol I grew up in a place where we regularly have bears in the backyard or trying to steal the bird feeders from the front porch. Not too worried, just a matter of being aware and generally knowing how to avoid them and what to do if you encounter one.
Yep, same for me. 😃
Definitely agree! So beautiful there.
Hokkaido is also good place to visit👍🏻
Love seeing all the snow, I think winter in Japan is underrated for sure 💕
My daughter is home sick with a cold today. We usually watch your videos together and today she curled up in my lap and said "the snow is so magical!"
I love Chris, the banter between you two is always fun, but it's refreshing to see you with positive people who fit your positive demeanor. The whole video has a really nice vibe

Dude having best hair amidst 3 ladies, daring an Aussie to eat something and snow asmr in the dark with a really pretty lightshow. Great vlog Sharla!
日本を楽しんでくれてありがとうございます🥰
Oh my goddddd I would die of happiness visiting that Shrine at night and seeing all those lovely lights!! Absolutely gorgeous!
Nice Toque and Aomori in the winter is on my list for the next trip
The shrine in the snow looked absolutely magical, but it entered the saiyan mode with that light show !!
I’ve been binging your videos between your channels for the past month or so. Helps me so much with my anxiety 😌 I’m a new subscriber but I’ve watched almost all your videos already 😂
Aw thank you so much for watching~! Welcome to my channel🥰
wow, that's a great comment!! there is something so calming and rejuvenating about snow ⛄️ ❄️ 🇯🇵

Japan is so magical when it snows 🤍
I miss watching snow. But I don't miss the cold, just the snow. What a wonderful video.
Why does Japan look sooo magical in the snow!! 🤗😍❄
SO PRETTY, a japanese winterwonderland..thank you for these impressions, Sharla. I really enjoyed them.
So beautiful! The shrines are even more majestic with the cover of snow.
I loved the short footage of the temple buildings with the music, surreal of stillness and peace. With the lights, the temple has a different vibe.
So visually stunning and the shot of the lunch spot in the snow is my idea of HEAVEN
Getting the notif for Sharla's vlogs is like getting a little present. 🥰 The beautiful landscape and the shrines all covered in snow made me feel so wistful. I've never been to Japan, I just long to see such pristine nature! Those cedar trees were majestic af. 🌲🌲🌲
The quality of your footage in the snow was chef's kiss.
Japan is magical ✨⭐✨. Lovely vlog .
I LOVED the snowy landscape but that light show was something else. It looked absolutely magical! Like an enchanted forest straight out of a Ghibli film!
Also, I kept smelling apples as I was watching this?! Even though there are no apples in sight!
Sharla always has some cool music in her videos. I always appreciate it.
This place depicts the image of Winter Wonderland for me! The snow looks so fluffly and white.
You channel is what lofi is to me in music… super chill and homely
Can’t get enough of lovely Sharmel 😘 always brightens up my day especially when my nose is dripping with flu and chest infection in London.
Another beautiful vlog Sharla! Thank you for capturing this beautiful day for us! ❤
Jordan sounds he’s hilarious to trace with! Such a great vid. Sarah’s chaos is much appreciated.

How fun! I grew up in Aomori and my family and I used to go to Towada lake a lot. There are great ice cream shops there (great place in the summer!)

Love everything about this video! I can’t wait for Japan to open back up so I can visit when it’s snowing! Maybe for my birthday 2023 🤞🤞
this place is so beautiful.

This place is amazing!! Love the light show and the snow is so pretty!! ❄️❄️❄️

Very nice video! The shrine standing in the snow, solemn and beautiful!
All of you guys are dressed so beautifully but I will say specifically..his fro is so picturesque and his voice is so beautiful.
I'm so jelly! It looks so beautiful! I really need to go back and visit my host family... I've never been in the winter time!
I'm glad you're getting to experience some quality snow without the horror of having to dig out from it every day, haha! Aomori looks so gorgeous this time of year!
Snow still looks magical to a Floridian. 41 years and I still have not seen snow.
That was fun! I loved hearing you and your friends speaking Japanese...more please!
So good to see you happy and healthy again!

The snow settling on Jordan’s afro was the cutest thing 😆
The projection they had against the shrine reminded me of the Lumiere Festival projection they did at Durham Cathedral here in the UK this year 😊
You're just so cute and so sweet, and so innocent and full of joy, it reminds me of my daughters when they were young ! Never change.
Omg something about Sharla in the snow, she looks so pretty
Living for all this snow! Its unseasonably warm 60°F where I live today, no hope for a white xmas again this year.
