I been bus driver since 2018, I’ve done the coaches as well, I got interview for bus and coach again different days, you have just sold me on the coaches again and refreshed all the bad memories of the buses. Cheers.
Hi Andre, hello from me in Ireland and I just found your channel I agree with all youve said for the reasons of lack of drivers in Ireland too..Ive been driving buses and coaches for over 40 years but definitely coach driving much better and more enjoyable with different clientele completely...Safe driving and ever in Ireland check in with me 👍
Agreed to an extent as it massively depends on where you work as a bus driver. I only started with a bus company a month ago, learnt few routes, learned the most horrible route according to the team as well. To be honest, it wasn't as bad as it's sounding in this video probably because i work in small, peacefu and a less populated town compared to London.
Your right mate I got my pcv licence in 2001 and did the job until 2016 due to health issues, I just made a recent return to the bus industry in November 2022 and boy do I regret it, I've been in it for 4 months and I hate it I mean absolutely hate it with a passion, I will be leaving this industry very soon believe me.
I've done coaches and buses mostly in London. More so every week I get nightmares of driving buses to this day. I haven't driven a bus in 25 years. I drive HGV Class 1 haven't looked back. Can't stand hearing that bell. Everyone wants to ring that bell. When I was on the route 24 with Volvo BM10s the bell only rung once and reset when doors opened. Why can't they design this again.
wow, you left the buses. Your speaking facts and glad you got out. Honestly cant say anything regarding buses because am still in service but I have to important questions for now. What is the wage gap between the London buses and coaches regardless the hours and secondly do you wash your coach or clean rather yourself?
Yes Nana, I'm so happy I have left the buses, it was making me so moody and sad 😔 lol. I'm having so much fun here in the coaches. I think that is important part. TO HAVE FUN AT WORK 🤣😂
I was lead here because I was go ogling for a wage difference but I'm commenting because of the respect difference... When you're taking people to their jollies they give tips and compliments. When you're taking them to work or where they NEED to be they criticise you. All beit the driving situation is a bit different, if you're a bus driver don't take peoples bullshit personally
