"Simply stand in a zone to capture points"
My grandfather, a WWII veteran, once told me that as soon as they moved within 50m of any objective everyone would see a countdown timer hanging in the air, and after 60 seconds the Germans would move away because they knew they'd lost a point
Omg yeah, my grandpa was telling me about the scoreboard they had, and how the germans kept trying to change it and cheat
@@Unboundiing The USA bombed the Civilians.. tactics have changed for the Germans. You wouldnt want to be Germany in World War 3.
I know, the British and the US asked to kill as many Germans as possible and the Soldiers were allowed to plunder the Civilians and have been promoted for doing so.
That wasnt war anymore, that was a slaughter.
Imagine the US and the British would have dropped the bombs on the front where the Germans were...
Whats cheating? Circling around the infantry and bombing Mother, Grandpa and the Children.
..thats a big cheat against Germany which was totally outnumbered and circled in.
Drone-Bombing isnt regarded as cheating neither, yet it is.
Oh so this sarcastic 🤌🤣

Arma3 experience is the most realistic and close to real combat experience but only if you play with a serious milsim community. When you play in single player Ai destroy all the experience. Is not easy to find time for everyone to be part of a milsim community.
I agree if you’re talking about vanilla. If you play with cf_bai + LAMBS or DCO (and a few other mods I highly recommend but don’t want to make a massive comment) it makes single player 10x better. Still not quite as good as playing with a unit ofc tho
Yep
@NotAustin can you send me the single player mod list by any chance? I only play arma single player and it probably is why I never got that into it
This is only true for unmodded arma 3, The zeus RTS wargame mod is insane, on top of others, it makes singlplayer ai command and missions incredibly realistic and fun
@@YeaaIJusShiddedOnEm can you list the mods?
Dude, not gonna lie, this might be the most legitimately realistic depiction of what it’s like to be reacting to heavy contact as a platoon and trying to maneuver on it that I’ve seen in a game. Well done! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Whatever you think, it's not even in the same galaxy as being in a real firefight. It's nothing like it whatsoever. If nothing else, you know you can just respawn.

Love the way they communicate with one another. Kind of realistic
It is realistic communication.
Who does the speaking?
This kind of communication will fail in an asian server. Unless all your team mates are your own clan or your own platoon/company.
Nobody will even know WTF is a CCP. (casualty collection point for KIAs)
@@rustandbleedobviously? isnt all of this american/english communication? Why do you think that would work on an asian server anyways?
@@rikverlinden1169 My guess the fire team leader. That's basically who mostly shouted commands when I was in theater.
A drill instructor once told me that when your suppressing you give an order to The suppressing squad to shift fire up over the enemy's heads, while the flanking squad moves in. if only it was possible to play arma like this without having 50 friends to play with
There are units who are recruiting
Join a milsim unit.
77th jsoc's servers are decent if you'd like something to just jump into.
@@maximiliaanvandijk6111 +1 with the JSOC comment. Easy and quick way to get into it. Not truly milsim work but good alternative without needing to join a unit. Sometimes you get some really terrible squads but its rare in my experience.
Arma's Ai system needs serious rework.
It's sad that there's NOTHING like Arma around, I've got about 6k hours myself and still play it almost every day as my unit is pretty active. However, having some competition will certainly push Bohemia and will enrich the Milsim community. That being said, I appreciate the work the community and specially the modders do to keep arma Alive after 10 years. Yes, would be nice to have better, but current works with it's defects well enough to keep us engaged.
You too help a lot Karma, so keep it up and would love to see Joint Operations with other communities more often, with a PvP element, that would be spicy.
Sqaud is a very good game
@@johnmorgan933 Squad is arcade in comparison, but yes its a very good game
@@johnmorgan933 Nothing against squad, but not really comparable. Arma is what you want it to be, squad is a tactical shooter.
What about squad
@@johnmorgan933 Squad is nowhere near Arma in the level of communication or milsim/tactical gameplay. At the moment the game is effectively just like a slightly slower battlefield game.
Karma Community is the only mil sim group i find myself going back to every now and then. The community is incredibly friendly with new players and always there to help out any newcomer questions they may have. Theres a bit of progression within the community too if you want to learn to do a specialization, from flying to recon, to motar and logistics, there really is something for everyone here

Bohemias choice to make mods so integral and source code open was absolute choice. Even the entry Python nerd can get into the guts of things and the results are amazing
What I love about arma is the variation. You can have realistic combat experiences in multiple ways. Wanna do a realistic sci-fi operation? Hella mods for that. Want a extremely realistic modern day experience with either infantry gear or high speed kit? You got that too.
Arma is king in realism, there are only some things that are limited like the realism of sound (sound occlusion in buildings, weapon mechanism sounds)
Sound mods…
Dayz which came from Arma has different sound for different distance for each weapon and four different sounds for every of those distances. In the town inside building, in the town outside building, in the woods and in the open area.
Arma 4 will probably be using the similar effects.
JSRS sound mod makes things sound like the war tapes setting in Battlefield games, a lot of servers allow it too
Ye
When arma 4 comes out, the new game might be the new king of realistic warfare.
*when the mods for arma 4 come out
@@shapshooter8669 i like to think of arma as an engine because of that. you can add and do pretty much anything you want

@@user-mc2kk8yf5z tbh i would not be suprised if there was someone doing a mod for that in the future if it does not come with the game.
@@CeizoBro officially they call it arma platform.
I've gotta say, that if squad had some more VOIP mods, adding a lot more realism to both local and radio chat, it'd probably beat arma for me. Had some real PTSD simulations in that game. Never have I seen a game that captures "shit kicking off" better than the experiences I had in squad. Almost dead silence, the occasional gunshot in the background, and all of a sudden everything just fucking erupts into pure chaos. The audio was what really made that game for me. Being posted up in city center, and then in under a second going from quiet to "I can't even hear my friends on discord" due to the sheer explosion of gunfire and grenades going off, then everything dying back down to the occasional gunshot when the enemy broke contact was too real.
I've always wanted to take part in big milsim ops like this. But just as an infantry grunt, most of the advanced things would go over my head as a newbie
Me too, but I've never had the place to do it. I'm very invested and heavily involved in my relationship with my wife to do anything like this. I also can't speak too loudly in an apartment.
I used to play with Shacktac back in the Arma II days, I’m glad you keep your volume up so high for gunfire. I was the same way, I wanted a little bit of tinnitus when I took my headphones off. When you’ve got a whole squad of dudes popping off rounds with choppers and arty and rockets going off, it SHOULD be almost impossible to hear someone yelling even right next to you. Good on ya
I have been in the 15th MEU Realism Unit for ten years now and you are spot on about everything you said in your opening monolog. There isn't a single game that can hold a candle to ArmA as long as you are in with the right group. IMO the only way to play is full on realism in every respect. In the 15th training every month totals 32 hours, this doesn't count classroom time. The Operations on Sundays easily add another 6-8 hours counting Platoon, Squad and Fire Team briefings and debriefings before and after the Operation.
100+ player combined armed assault, with all MEU assets brought to bear is a F'ing sight to behold in the gaming world. I have seen engagements stretched out over a couple of kilometers that literally left my jaw slack.
LUV THIS FREAKING SIMULATOR!
Its gaming communitys like this one that blow my mind. The coordination and roleplaying is impressive
I think this is the most amount of ammunition I have ever seen dispensed in an Op before!
Fire superiority baby!!
Always a good time watching Karma and his people operate. The only way I can see this being more realistic would be to have other players as enemy. Enemy platoons with the same level of, commitment, leadership, strategists, and organization.
I think the complexity of player behavior is actually limited by the size of maps in most games. You don't need to seize an airfield if there is no airfield present on a map, and if a game's maps do not have airfields what motivation is there to program aircraft to need an airfield?
That... that's the point. That the maps in many of those games just feature "hey go stand in this building for two minutes" and don't entertain the complexity of operations, even within something as "simple" as an assault on a town.
Arma is the best game I ever played. Played with a milsim community, United operations at the end of Arma 2 beginning or Arma 3, back when I had the time. Could do a 2 hour mission get no kills and have a great experience.
Id love to see a behind the scenes of your video production. how do you guys train and coordinate through all of this? timing, schedule, and managment of ileach individuals, everyone coming together to make this content. im super amazed and curious how this all comes together!
like an hobby, people who are serious about it show up on a regular basis as a set time probably weekly.
They do actual training in-game (probably some of them irl) and then take it to the matches.
love your stuff man! your channel introduces so much to me that i otherwise couldnt see.
So I'm assuming it's actually pretty difficult to find an entire mil sim team and they would have to be pretty abundant to have constant replayability. Awesome video Karma! And this would be an excellent training video for Command positions. 👍
It would be so cool if games like these incorporate the little details too, like that Gunner in the initial engagement was absolutely laying pipe, with pretty much cyclic fire at some points. Limiting players with barrel temperatures to make them manage with an AG with an extra barrel, would be cool.
That's part of the game too, but a lot of people have those settings disabled or minimised on their missions.
Great work on the mission Karmakut and Co
Rock On!
i remember when devildog did this a few yrs agofor his main content, i love the raw uncut milsim gameplay alot... keep up the awesome work your doing!!!

Thats exactly what I did!
Nothing funnier than being in this type of combat scenario, asking someone "Can you get it done?" And them responding with "Yeah my internet is actually kinda dying on me, I might not be around much longer". Lmao
I have always enjoyed watching Arma 3 Videos for years. I finally have pulled the trigger and got the game. Cant wait to not know a single thing on what I am doing haha.
Lol I thought the combat footage at the start was a game for a second, in the unreal 5 engine or something, but yes arma is great just a shame I suck at it..
you cant just empathise how important sound is and then not drop the mods you used to get this thats just criminal
I think someone said "red sounds" as the mod
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for your work hahaha
With realism at this level, I care little about graphics exceeding the Arma3 level HOWEVER Arma3 reliability and server issues are a massive issue. Its inspiring to see KarmaCo out there fighting thru those issues to bring this kind of experience to fellow teammates and bringing content to us who cant get the time in to play (properly)! Thx
This is excellent! I have around 1200 hours of arma 3 so far , but never played on a server like this !! How do I join!
Its crazy how bad Arma 3 looks today. Bohemia is at least 6-7 years late to this fight and I am blown away they still release. There are so many more milsims so much better and have been out for years. Many of us just hold Arma dear to our hearts so it is hard to let go of 3. I mean ARma died for the majority of it's owners around 2015. You know it as well because you used footage from another game as a thumbnail on youtube to attract people to PS3 quality graphics. The only thing you get now is the occasional groups of bored and come back, or the extreme hard core few. Arma 4 needs to seriously get moving.
This was awesome to watch
I love your gameplay vids man! Epic
Thank you for doing the scripted intros. It increases the intensity before the video even starts. It's tasteful content that many internet creators have let fall to the wayside, but more riveting than a documentary into. It's fantastic delivery showing the gravity of participation
Bro really had the script that shit got me so hyped 😂
Hey y’all. I want to get into a Unit/Squad on this game and wondered where I would go exactly to join a discord or community of ARMA players.
Any help is appreciated
I love the realism of firing through a teammate who's on the firing line.
Sooo good to watch. I subbed
Arma is really cool with its sandbox aspect but i think Squad has way better sound then any other "realist milsim" game
Battleground Europe/World War II Online would be a contender.
Nothing more realistic than "hold on my internets going out" mid contact 🤣
played the server for a long time, its alot of fun and the guys are great.
Arma4 on Unreal5 is going to be insane.
It’s not on Unreal. BI has their own new engine (as usual) called Enfusion. It’s the same one Reforger is currently on
@@YeaaIJusShiddedOnEm damn I figured Reforger was on Unreal. Guess I’ve been out of the loop too long

hell let loose is quite realistic. in terms of feel and fx.
-camera shakes and u get tunnel vission when u get shot.
-explosions agitates u.
-sfx of bullet hiting the ground is the most realistic out of all shooting games.
god love you for supporting a game built on using a cpu from 2013 and runs like a paraplegic
Amazing coordination and comms 💯
17:06 I turned my head to the right as soon as he said wolf, it is my tag. lol
After playing a few hours of Arma 3, I finally know how to properly order AI teammates. Of course, I'm not a good squad leader nor high command on an assault mission but I still enjoy giving orders to several artillery pieces and watch it happens. I somehow managed to land a hit almost every time
I played Argo (a free version of the Arma 3 game i believe) with my friend, and we would hop on to a server probably run by the dev teams and they were so good. non-toxic, friendly, helpful, educative. I wish Argo was still there.
Those shots were like listening to a bad drum machine
I just wish there was a way of playing this game with people that didn't require some 6-10 hours a week with near-absolute consistency. The really cool units usually requiere you to be on ops at least two times out of four every month and that's a tall order sometimes.
having to go back around the building to radio your man and find out he's on the roof cause it's too loud is next level
16:00 made watching this whole thing worth it! hahah! "Took a dive off the roof..."
Lol I scrolled to this right at that timestamp hahaha that's sweet
played a lot back in the day and in a clan with all the logistic and shit behind it. it was def a blast.
Can confirm that. Communicating when all hell breaks loose is difficult at best. It helps if you are trained, but can quickly spiral out of control if it is prolonged and through bad luck and individual actions born of stress or fatigue. I liked Arma 3, though it at times feels dated in other respects. Perhaps because I never got around to install any mods.
These videos are one of the only ways I can fall asleep. VA says it's not service connected lol

would be cool to see at the end of a vid like this some sort of debrief with amount of casualties on both sides, vehicles destroyed/lost and such
I love watching these game plays against other real teams. Smoke 1 and just lock in.
Since it depicts it the most it just hurts me a good bit everytime i saw someone on the ground
love the video hopefully i can get back into this game but im waiting for arma4
Damn so good intensity, machin gun and explosion sounds, radio communication from the squad or platoon leaders with TFR , remind 10 years in Arma 2 and 3 playing with a great milsim community. I want an Arma 4 so bad with improvements in gameplay that we can see in other games (IA, movements, physics)
Great gameplay 👍🏼👍🏼
I still remember the first engagement i had in arma 3... Ambushed, Dragging my SL through the mud dumping a pistol at shadows in the trees while support heli flew past paving the forrest and dropping smokes. Finally got to a rock, onky to realise SL bled out so im all alone, miles from RV point, no ammo, no supplies, ttying to navigate through the smoke and avoid the enemies that were still all over the area.... All that just to watch the heli get downed on arrival, i went down knifing and never felt ao immersed in my life
As a medically retired combat veteran - this shit gets my blood pumping, lol. There's no visceral feedback, or physiological responses but you'll never get that in a game regardless. Visually, and audibly, this pretty damn close.
Absolutely breathtaking gameplay.
Looks great and the communication is outstanding. Only wish there could have been some views through the scope for a better view of the enemy. Only way you know there is an enemy here is the gunfire and troops going down.
it must be really nice to have a group of friends/players to squad up with and play so seriously like a real squad. Everyone i know who games wont move on from COD Warzone and if i jump into a game all i ever get is a whole squad with NO MICS or a group of little kids.
