This song represents the feeling of betrayal and rejection, the feeling of seeing that you are not apart of this world and no one ever wanted nor will want you, the feeling of forever loneliness and the incapability of making friends due to too many differences, it represents the fake smile that holds all the pain inside. The rain symbolizes the numb nature of the human being that is rejected and misunderstood, the voices represent all the other happy people, not paying attention to that one man sitting in the rain, alone, cold and broken. Soon that man will break and everyone will notice him, but not for long due to the fact that the lack of connections and a small and insignificant impact on the world make that man just a shadow, an inexistent being, an empty soul and a prey for the darkness that engolfs the poor and different souls. Many say being different it's a good thing yet they all look at those different like they're some kind of mistake, some kind of anomaly. Many souls find themselves surrounded by happy people that are not aware of their existence while they're standing there... getting all torn up and ready to end it all at any given moment. No matter how hard you try, you are never good enough... They don't realize it but that man has gone through so much more pain than them, his soul is unable to find peace again and will collapse in on itself. That man was never good enough, he was too boring, he was too weird, he was too... different. It's horrible how a different point of view and different preferences can lead to such outcomes. Many people find themselves in a point where they wanna end it all, they want to find peace, they want to be loved, they want people to at least notice they exist, too bad that won't happen. "The world is big, you will find that one person" they say and that might be true, however happiness is limited, suffering and betrayal are eternal. It is all worthless, life is worthless, love is worthless, happiness is worthless, such a short life can only bring pain and suffering so why not just end it, jump? Many believe there is a light somewhere that's going to save them but all light eventually fades away and leaves behind a cold empty void that is impossible to escape. Once rejected by society, you will seek ways to prevent that from happening again, somehow that leads to more rejection and pain. The only thing that will not tell our secrets and support us forever is the pillow that's already yellow from all the tears and hugs. Everything in this void we call world revolves around pain, everything, everything, every...thing...
