I understand from Bob Marley's film about his dad that he knew but they called hin Captain Marley And was often on a horse I also understand that his mum was about 16 at the time and he's dad captain Marley was in he's 60s. A big age difference... I thought it was very sad and upsetting when Bob Marley went to visit his half brothers also in Jamaica as they run some type of building industry there they turn Bob Marley away and said they didn't know of their dad having this child but he clearly looked so much like he's half brothers Bob Marley was clearly somebody special.. I would go so far to say that he was meant to be born and be a reggae singer. musician he without a doubt put Jamaica on the world map he was clearly kind-hearted people would often line up in the Street and Bob Marley would have someone go out and give them some money he's 2/2 middle class Step Brothers that refused to help Bob Marley they be come a nobody.. Bob Marley was clearly upset he wanted his half brothers to help if one thing people should learn from this is don't look down at the poor... I was listening to Bob Marley songs at the age of about 10 or 11 years old that was a long time ago and I still listen to Bob Marley songs today I had many good Jamaican friends in my class at school in the UK in London the colour of my skin and the colour of the Jamaican friends skin did not matter one bit and never even crossed my mind now I hope you people out there that have read this true story treat each for who you are and not the colour of your skin and never look down upon the poor follow in the footsteps of Bob Marley and you won't go wrong from Daniel hills and Kevin mulligan UK England.

@@BuildingMyFuturestepbystep hereditary features don’t reside only on hair type and skin tone (which in Marley’s case was also present, being his skin noticeably lighter than most African Americans), your level of ignorance is just sad.
@clement Asampana I dont know about that as I havn't checked them out, but we were talking about bob Marley and your denial of his white genes having anything to do with him being so successful when he came from such poverty..also mohammed Ali's great grandfather was irish 😁
@clement Asampana have you calmed down yet at the thought of Alis white genes 😆😆...theres a shocker for you !!
Ironically if not for the rejection of his father's side of the family, we would never have seen the legend that was Bob Nester Marley😅
The world would not know the Marley name if it wasn't for Bob Marley and his music, love and his children.
There is a documentary on Prime called "Marley"
It goes from his childhood to his homegoing.
Rest In Paradise Bob 🙏
Yes, the resemblance is definitely very strong,WOW...
Wow. The resemblance is uncanny!
"In this oh sweet life, we're comin' in from the cold. It's you I'm talkin' to, now." Bob's wisdom and depth is forever - he's talking to YOU. NOW. Whoever you are. Whenever "now" is.
But Bob never let that bother him, oh no. He focused on himself and bwoy did he make it big 🎉 He never missed them, he made an entire generation of Marleys and it's them everyone talking 'bout now. Way to go 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Damian Marley looks just like his grandfather. The lips, eyes, and brow shape. He makes the same facial expression.

The greatest love of all comes from within. Not the colour of your skin. Not the country of your Birth. Or the fame fortune or material worth.
You could not have said it better.
Bob's father Norval Marley born in East Sussex, was a construction engineer. He joined the British army during WWI but did not go to the front because of incontintence of urine and non attributed rheumatism. He was 1.65m tall weight 56 kg. Norval's family were Jewish refuges from Syria. Bob sang about his father's family in the song Cornerstone. Probalbly they owned a facory but Bob did not get money from them because they did not see him as a family member. (Neurotic Captain/The Daily Star)

Once you have black gens in you, white family won't except you no longer.
+wallis adriaan Bob's father was actually a Jamaican, born in Clarendon. He was a naval captain.
+wallis adriaan "Jewish" refugees from Syria!!? LAUGHABLE.

Would be nice to know more about his family background,

Thank you Bob senior for making your son 🙏
@KazC-je3cm yes , he sure does
My grandson seen a picture of Marley and called him Jesus, I had to correct him and tell him, no but they're kin, discernment of a two year old he could clearly see the family strong genes in Marley. He and my grandfather favored each other yet there was sixteen branches between them, but they look like each other. Them some strong genetics my own son favors the same genetics and one of my four brothers. You can see how much Doc Holliday, Jesse James and Bob Marley favor their family lineage cool that they look like each other. ONE tree, ONE family, ONE religion and that's LOVE, we still needed him and others, we still needed them. The change is here prayers for our family.

@@Chat2much TUNIS genetics can't help the look it's the oldest DNA known to man. Soon it's gonna cure cancer thanks to My Mama listening when GOD sent a messenger who told her to donate. Hospice took nearly two pints of blood. Five research facilities sent the oldest man's genetics and since her donation there has been amazing beak throughs. This was her Redemption song. The cross on my wall my grandson at two clearly sees the resemblance of family genetics when he sees images of these folks and calls them Jesus and I have to correct him no it's not I have to say. Now that he's getting older, I can reason with him and tell him there different people there's just a resemblance. Saint Nicholas the real one there's a resemblance. Constantine, certain "royals" you can see the resemblance cause the genetics is very strong. GOD done that on purpose, so you could see the NICHOLITES (The house of Santa) but the same line GOD uses is the Same line the devil does that's the truth. That's why you gotta have discernment, the toddler doesn't think the way an adult does therefore they have better discernment when it comes to spirituality closer to HIM than we are. I corrected my grandson it's what we are to do, but I wasn't going to leave him wonder well if they ain't the same then why do they look like they are. I gave him the truth, it would be a sin to lie when I've done our family tree and it proves Marley was singing truths, "is there a place for the hopeless sinner, we've hurt mankind to save us", 😢❤️. Promise my kinsman we're gonna do BETTER till our BETTER is BEST and we gonna educate the rest. GOD doesn't do religion that's man. GOD wants us to be as little children and LOVE WITHOUT CONDITIONS.

waw! Bob's a black version of his uncle.
Bob marley king of reggae man uye man jamaica nice man
Little did the man know he was rejecting the greatest musical talent of all time.the stone which the builder reject.....
.....

Bob looks just like the uncle he was named for.... well, a black version of him, lol!

The eyes never lie
Marley once reflected: "My father was a white and my mother was black. Them call me half-caste or whatever. ... Marley was born in 1945 in the village of Nine Mile, before moving to Kingston. His father, Norval Sinclair Marley, was a white Jamaican of English descent.Dec 4,
He was born in Rhoden Hall nearby in Clarendon it's the border town he lived 9miled StAnn
In a way Bob Marley looks like his father . And one of his sons look just like his Uncle . Life's destiny , is very weird at times .
Bob barely knew his father or of his father's family, the man was hardly there and died when he was 10yrs old, Bob grew up as Jamaican as Jamaican can be.
IEatTrolls ForBreakfast He's still half white.
Cold ground was my bed last night and rock was my pillow too.
Oh ok sounds like a colonizer speaking for a colonizer he is whatever his father is yes everyone talk about race but bloodline is very important remember not all "Humans". are HUMAN (Caucasians) etc etc (non aboriginal) (colonizers) Bob was knowingly an idol and was worshipped by many.
@Tillda Shelton he has the right to refer to himself as any of the two also mixed but he choose to identify or stand with his mom because she did the work so live with that..
If he wasn't that kinda famous they wouldn't want to own him..

Bob's dad was wayyyyy older than his mom when he got her pregnant... His dad wanted some of that young black cat.... 😂😂😂😂
So at 50, he bedded a 17-year-old who gave birth to Bob Marley, and he abandoned them to poverty.
Imagine if he had sent him to boarding school in Inglan instead. There wouldn't have been the Bob Marley we know today. Everything happens for a reason.
Thank him for being irresponsible. Look what it gave the world.
True you have a point
Z. T. Well he wouldn’t have ever sent Bob to a boarding school in England would he? Considering was born and died in Jamaica. Just because he’s white didn’t mean he was English. Do your research before writing such silly comments.
@@JV-dj6mo How stupid do you have to be to write such nonsense? Born and died in Jamaica means you can't send you child abroad for education? Get the fuck out!
Z. T. You were the one who suggested he’d send him to boarding skl in England. Why would he do that? He’s a fully Jamaican man yes his family are English but he lives majority of his life in JA so why’d he send Bob to England where he’s not from
I agree the process though horrible gave a product to the world... so even though it could of been different, because of what happened produced the result which was the legend bob Marley.. sometimes we don’t understand why things happen or turn out the way they do but at the end it’s how the cookie crumbled and what was meant to be..
The gift of embodying two disparate groups of people - you can understand the struggles and insecurities of the system. The struggle of the oppressed and the insecurities of the oppressor and decode those issues with more clarity than being on one side or the other. It's hard because we are not black enough nor white enough...but we were born enough according to JAH!
Damian marley looks just like Bob's uncles. He actually looks more like them than bob. Ziggy looks like Bob, like the happy smiling version of Bob and Damian is the moody version. Bob's father's family seem moody 😅
Great resemblance to his uncle
Tbh alot of black people have relatives from different races I think they all do so no surprise there
Tbh white people have a lot of black relatives they cut out bcuz of the color of their skin
The mother was raped by her master bob.
Yes but that is unimportant to their genes or phenotype. Bob Marley had a first generation white father
No, not a lot, and certainly not 50/50 like in this case
Why is this even being posted? Didn't Bob Marley's father turn his back on Bob and Bob's mother? Don't give this folks one second of your breath. There is a difference between 'family' and being related...Being related means you share a bloodline, a common ancestor. That does NOT make you 'family'. That's something altogether different.

Yes, he does!
