I've been in this community since 2007, it's a shame how the current community has turned so nasty.... what people do not understand is that this hobby started by "ARTISTS " REPAINTING dolls that were bought in a store, and they "reborned" them. Those dolls were NOT their sculpts, they were store bought dolls! Dolls made by someone, some comany, and then repainted by an artist who then claims its a reborn. It was not their sculpt, they didnt get the artist or company to agree to you redoing and reselling the doll as yours. So why was that ok? It's always ok to the haters, when they decide what's right to them, and then try to bully others.. thank you ❤ for standing up!!
Thank you again! I have 6 beautiful replicas and I love them so much. I have a 12 inch silicone Levi baby too and collect other dolls also. I am lucky enough to have a beautiful nursery and to be able to put my babies in trendy clothing. I have found out that if you do your research long and thorough enough you can find some stunning replicas. Not each replica looks like the other! Also, the detailing is becoming better and better! And you made such a GREAT point: The artists should be amazed by what we are able to pull out of the replicas by reweighting them, modifying them and putting them in trendy clothing. I swear, sometimes I could almost mistake a replica for an authentic doll. Once we have our reweighted finished babies, they become a deeply beloved character in our lives and you have another thing coming if you want to diss ANYTHING in my life that I love!

Thanks for being a positive voice in a community often fraught with drama, harsh judgements and condemnation. Something I find particularly gross about folks ripping on the replicas is that I think they don’t understand that it might be the only thing a person can afford, and having less money doesn’t mean you should have less fun or not have nice things. Like you said, most everyone who has replicas say the name of the kit and the original sculptor, so they’re giving the credit due. The sales for them will never stop because you have people far removed from the “community” who don’t even know the history of these babies and they just see “ooh heres a cute doll I can afford! Imma get it for myself, my kids, my grandkids, whatever” and because theres so many people who don’t know they’re stolen sculpts, the sales would never stop for them, so really you’re just taking away joy from people who cant afford an artist painted doll because they happen to be well versed in sculptors and kits and that’s just not fair. Or if they didn’t know before buying, you’re making them feel all this guilt over a baby they probably loved the absolute shit out of before they got bullied over - effectively nothing. It’s all pretty shitty. So thanks for having a positive space that’s open and welcoming for ALL dolly Mommy’s and Daddy’s ❤️

Hey sis on dollhappy2 channel that showed a trick to loosen the limbs and head. You take some super glue and use a cotton swap to spread all the groove were the tie goes in. Let it dry for at least 12 hours. The limbs move so much easier. Also people should do dolls their way as you say. I decided to downsize to just my PG and Adora Babies. I needed the money plus more room. Why can't people just let people do their own things. I agree with you. Your dolls your way. Great video 👍👍 I'm from South Carolina and we are known as the hot heads. Like you if anybody attacks any of my dolly friends I will defend them.

I am happy you had a all you can stuff into a bag for 40$ you sure got some beautiful things.. Thank you for addressing the topic for newbies. I am sorry to hear that this is still going on. I am like you and collect whatever my heart desires, antique vintage modern play line Barbie and so on. I actually stepped away from the whole drama at the time you are talking about because I won't do that. I recently rescued a reborn from a thrift store for 99¢, she has some damage to the face paint and sticky head from perhaps a wig(?) , and I couldn't let them bin her. I have her infocard but cant find the reborn artist no where, and I searched and asked many places. And though i am myself an artist this is not what i do and i admire those who do reborn so much.. i restore and fix dolls, antique vintage and 18" but nothing as elaborate or intricate. I have done face ups before, but I prefer creating clothes for dolls, either handsewn, machine or knitted and crochet. My interest is reawakened so have slowly been trying to find my footing again within the community. I am thrilled Amazon now carries these dolls as I definitely can't afford most originals ones I love, the prices are so much higher compared to 5 years ago, then my focus was my brand-new granddaughter and my daughters graduation and her wedding (in that order like me she does things in a unique way). Ashton Drake and Amazon are more my price range. I absolutely love your channel it just popped up on my new feed just like Marisol and a few others have. Or if they didn’t know before buying, you’re making them feel all this guilt over a baby they probably loved the absolute shit out of before they got bullied over - effectively nothing. Hey sis on dollhappy2 channel that showed a trick to loosen the limbs and head. You take some super glue and use a cotton swap to spread all the groove were the tie goes in. Let it dry for at least 12 hours. The limbs move so much easier. Also people should do dolls their way as you say. I decided to downsize to just my PG and Adora Babies. I needed the money plus more room. Why can't people just let people do their own things. I agree with you. Your dolls your way. Great video 👍👍 I'm from South Carolina and we are known as the hot heads. Like you if anybody attacks any of my dolly friends I will defend them.

Thank you for addressing the topic for newbies. I am sorry to hear that this is still going on. I am like you and collect whatever my heart desires, antique vintage modern play line Barbie and so on. I actually stepped away from the whole drama at the time you are talking about because I won't do that.
I recently rescued a reborn from a thrift store for 99¢, she has some damage to the face paint and sticky head from perhaps a wig(?) , and I couldn't let them bin her. I have her infocard but cant find the reborn artist no where, and I searched and asked many places. And though i am myself an artist this is not what i do and i admire those who do reborn so much.. i restore and fix dolls, antique vintage and 18" but nothing as elaborate or intricate. I have done face ups before, but I prefer creating clothes for dolls, either handsewn, machine or knitted and crochet.
My interest is reawakened so have slowly been trying to find my footing again within the community.
I am thrilled Amazon now carries these dolls as I definitely can't afford most originals ones I love, the prices are so much higher compared to 5 years ago, then my focus was my brand-new granddaughter and my daughters graduation and her wedding (in that order like me she does things in a unique way). Ashton Drake and Amazon are more my price range.
