- We tour through the Star Wars pavilion at this year's San Diego Comic Con and stop by the 3D Build booth to check out their collection of ship models built from cardstock! We're particularly impressed by how their paper models recreate the shape and details of ships like the Imperial Star Destroyer and even the Death Star 2. Plus, we visit the Hallmark booth to learn how they designed an animatronic Han in Carbonite ornament!

I haven't gotten Halmark ornaments in an age, the stuff they're doing now is wild.
I've been really hooked on these kits lately. I've built the x wing and Boba Fett's helmet. I have the Millenium Falcon up next. Bought Darth Vader's Helmet for my girlfriend.
I just finished the Venator and it was a fun project and it turned out awesome for display. Its very detailed.
These paper models are excellent. I'm going to have to add one or two to my Christmas wish list.
Growing up I was often unable to afford official merchandise from my favourite films and shows, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Alien, etc, and so I would instead spend my weekends with knives, cardboard, hard paper and glue, and build my own.

These paper Star Wars model kits look sweet!
I have one and it was super fun to put together. The only thing I have to say about it tho: the pegs were a little difficult to put in on some pieces, but other than that it was super fun to put together. If anyone decides to get one btw, it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy some extra glue just in case.
Should have some superglue around somewhere but if not got loads of silicon lmao. Looking forward to starting my R2D2

Those cardboard builds look good to do. I am wanting to do one of Epic Cardboards builds he has a death star in a bigger scale you should check his channel if not already.

I remember discovering paper crafts on 4chan back in the early days be sure to look up 4chan kids it's full of wonderful crafts
Fr. I remember spending hundreds of hours printing paper craft templates on large printer paper to make oversized Star Destroyers and other stuff.

I don't get star wars xmas ornaments: Nothing says the birth of Our Lord better than Han being put into carbonite. You do you, that's cool, I just don't hang that kind of stuff on the tree; it more likely would get a spot on my bookshelves.
Star Wars and The Bible are the same thing. A bunch of stories featuring fictional characters. Doesn’t matter which ornaments you put on the tree.

@@skylarking12 there’s no edge here. Archeology research confirmed the multiple rewritting and changes in the books of the bible during history. The churches themselves choose what they want to believe in and what is apocryphal.
Religion can have its place for people who need it, especially on a philosophical level. But thinking "mAH bOoK iS tEH rEAl oNE wHO sAYs tEh tRuTH" is pathetic on so many level it hurts. No, it doesn’t. Maybe god or gods exist, maybe not. But christianity is certainly not more true about it than any other human made stories.
